We only stayed two nights while we explored Hilton Head...such a beautiful, well managed park! Totally secure with gated access. Warning, if you do not check in by the time the Office closes, you have to park your coach in spaces outside the gate as they will not allow you in until they re-open in the morning. We saw two coaches this morning who were locked out due to late arrival. Our water front pull in Site was gorgeous and one of the few sites with satellite access (site 341). Price of $120 is premium, but we felt it was worth it. Huge pool and hot tub as well as a dog park which is always important to us. Wish we would have stayed longer...we will return! We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Bring your bikes and explore the island! Easy access from the campground. We walked to Crane's Streakhouse for dinner (15 min) and it was excellent "old school" steakhouse with prime meat and martinis...we enjoyed it!

This is a gorgeous resort! It is clean and laid out nicely with lots of privacy between sites - course that is dependent on which site you select. You can go to their web site and view each site that is available. We were close to the clubhouse, tennis courts and pool. They were/are having a very hot summer so we didn't use the tennis courts but we did ride our bikes around the resort as well as the town of Hilton Head - lots of trails - but when it's this warm you need to ride early! It was also very humid but that's just the time of year. The laundry room is very clean and air conditioned. The only "cons" I would give this resort is that the site we had, although very nice with lawn furniture, tables and chairs, outside night lighting, it definitely could have used some weed pulling. Also, in selecting this site it said it was long enough for our motorhome and tow vehicle - it was, but just barely. The reason for the low grade in service was due to the rudeness of the fellow who directed us to our site. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

This place is awesome. We would've given it a "10", but due to all the tall trees we weren't able to get satellite reception, not sure any site can get it. We knew this going in, but it still was a bummer. The cable was not very good. Not a lot of channels. But they were running some new cable lines when we were there so that may improve. Loved our site, very private and well landscaped. They are all owned sites, so some are nicer than others. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and very well kept. The Parks location is great as well. If you've never been to Hilton Head take your bike or rent one. HH is super bike friendly. Paved bike paths everywhere. You can go just about anywhere on a bike and never be on the road. Great for running too. Overall we were very pleased with HHI Motorcoach Resort. Trading no satellite for all the beautiful greenery , tall trees and lots of shade was worth it in the end. We plan on going back this Fall or next spring for sure. We stayed here previously and for two weeks this year. We plan to return in the future, as it continues to be our "happy place". Lots of beautiful landscaping at most sites and and some owners have even upgraded site surfaces to pavers, so everything is clean and attractive. There is ample spacing and adequate privacy for most sites in an environment they call "paradise". An assortment of mature trees everywhere creates lots of good shade. The only downside we can express is the use of power leaf blowers. There are 400 sites here and just about everyone has leaf blowers and they use them. The staff also use them regularly, so there is almost always an assortment of blower activity, mostly in the morning. That aside, we have never found a facility that can compare with this one. Beautiful pool with a good snack shack, great attitude by the staff, very level and clean sites, pristine tennis and pickle ball courts and an assortment of other weekly activities. Also, the convenient location is close to shopping, restaurants, a beautiful beach and access to safe bike trails all around the island. The people here, including lot owners, are very friendly and welcoming, so it is hard to walk around the facility without engaging in a lively conversation. Excellent TV cable service, and they are completely rebuilding the Wi-Fi system. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

There are good and bad points of this park. Depending on what you like it is very, very wooded. You will not get satellite. Also the WiFi is hit or miss. I understand they are updating their WiFi so it should be better in the future. This is a very large park and it is very busy. They do a great job at checkin and helping you park. There is a large pool and park and recreation area. Lots of dogs and lots of people so there is a lot of activity but overall a quiet park. There was a rain storm when we were there and so there was tons of debris from the trees on the rig and on our car. The site itself was large and paved and you can look at pictures of the sites to choose the one you like. Overall if you like a more wooded setting and to disconnect it is a great setting. Also there is a lot of restaurants and services very close but it is also very busy all the time. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for six days visiting relatives. (The military discount covered the taxes, buy still ended up at $90/nite) You go to the web site, and you can review pictures of sites available. You pick the site and give a deposit. (had MH problems and had to change reservations 4 times. They were very nice, and all I wanted was any site at that point, so they just gave me a site). All sites are privately owned and rented when owner not here. Our site was very shady, with table and chairs on extended patio. Patio needed to be power washed. Chairs had lichens growing. The owners (not this site) plant nice shrubbery and flowers. Site maintenance is done by owners and the entire park is really nice, and manicured. Few sites are a little overgrown. Most sites have plantings that block your neighbors. Not the friendliest crowd. When walking our dog, we were lucky to get a wave hi! Gated with a pass card. Nice pool and clubhouse. Many tennis courts. There are no golf carts allowed, and only propane fire pit allowed. They do have a guide to your site and directs you in. All sites are back-in. There is shopping nearby (Publix, Walgreens, Staples, and such). Cannot count the number of nearby restaurants. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

I have mixed emotions about this resort. We have stayed here frequently and noticed that, overtime, the resort has become more overgrown and more difficult to negotiate the tight roads. This resort has about 50/50 sites for big rigs ... some of those sites are very difficult to get into without moving someone's pot/plants that have been placed at the edge of the road. We have a 45ft. bus. On the plus side, the location of the resort is hard to beat. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park. Lots are individually owned. Office and check in was great and staff was very friendly. Access to bike path from the park and biking to stores, restaurants, and the beach is very easy. Lots of great food nearby, some just a short walk. Publix across the street. Will return when it warms up a bit. Great stay. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort is truly a luxury resort, complete with lush, tropical landscaping, and all the amenities a luxury motorcoach resort offers: gated community, wide, navigable roads, fully-furnished clubhouse and lounge, laundry (with large commercial machines), pool, spa, fitness center, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, and basketball courts, and a children's play area. This ownership resorts rents unoccupied sites on a short-term basis. Large, private sites are beautifully landscaped with paver pads and patios. Some have additional features, such as outdoor kitchens and gazebos. We really enjoyed our Clubhouse site (#310), as it was long enough for our coach and tow, and the patio area was tucked behind landscaping which provided additional privacy from the road and neighbors. We were also able to get roof-mounted satellite reception at this site. This would not be the case from many of the sites, especially the Forest Lots. A wonderful, off-road bike path can be taken from the resort all the way to the beach, so no driving was necessary. We found everyone we encountered to be very friendly and hospitable. While staying at the resort, we toured the island, seeing the sites, among which are the Stoney Baynard Ruins. We also drove to Savannah, visiting all the historic landmarks of this beautiful city. We would definitely stay at Hilton Head again, should we find ourselves in the area. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is a place where you buy the space and keep your RV there most of the time and rent your space out when you are not in residence. We liked it and Hilton Head a lot. Everybody in the park was very friendly. We plan on going back for at least a week in the near future. There are nearby bike rental places, and you can bike almost everywhere in Hilton Head including on the beach. After you check in they have valets guide you to your site and help you park your RV. We had a great time but two days was just not enough. Wife loves it and I like it a lot, we will be back. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Our first time visiting Hilton Head and our first time at a "motor coach only" resort. We loved it! Easy to find off the Cross Island Expressway and close to grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, and the beach. All within a 5 minute drive. The park has beautiful landscaping and paved roads. You are escorted to your site after check in. Did not use the pool, but it looked clean and well cared for. The laundry room was very clean, $2.50 to wash and $2.00 to dry. Machines worked well. Each site here is privately owned, so there is quite a variety in the amount of landscaping, furniture, etc. on each site. When booking on-line, we were shown available sites (with photos) for the days we wanted to stay and were allowed to pick our site. We were extremely happy with the site we chose. Beautiful landscaping with palm trees and tasteful night lighting, high quality furniture, and a well maintained stamped concrete pad. Very private site. We had no issues during our stay. Can't wait to come here again! We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Hudson's Seafood restaurant was great, they catch their own shrimp. We enjoyed the Italian ice at Sunset Slush, a nice change from the usual ice cream! Publix grocery store is a 2 minute drive from the park, just across the mail road. Very convenient. Coligny Plaza and Beach are about a 5-7 minute drive.

$100 a night is highly overpriced, but this is Hilton Head. Our particular site - 290 - was excellent. There are privacy shrubs on each side, nice landscaping including hanging plants, and nice patio furniture (which we did not use, but added to the ambiance of the site). Additionally, walking around the park, most of the sites are attractive and well landscaped. All of the people that we met were very nice. The staff was helpful in guiding us to the site. It is a top notch motor coach resort. It was kind of nice not having all of the loud trucks that pull 5th wheels for a change! While the resort is extremely wooded and private, once outside the resort, you are close to everything that you need. We camped at Hilton Head Island Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

The island is a great area for bike riding - really nice paths! If you plan to see the HH Island Lighthouse ($4.50 admission), which is in Harbourtown by the marina, plan on doing a bike ride through the Sea Pines Forest Preserve (and community). There is a $6 admission (per car) to get into Sea Pines, which you have to go through to get to Harbourtown (lots of shops there) and the lighthouse, but the bike riding in Sea Pines is awesome!
