We have no idea how this park even got a 3 star rating. All we got for our $30 was hookups. There are 2 single restroom/showers, one for men, one for women, so if one woman is in the shower, another cannot use the toilet. They were recently renovated and clean, but we didn’t use them and didn’t see anyone else use them. Laundry facilities are supposed to be free, and we needed to do laundry. Surprise! Laundry room is being renovated by the husband, it seems. Might take a while. 99% of the park is made of up permanent residents. Not long-term, but permanent. Kids get off school bus and walk to their trailers. Many in disrepair. Did not feel safe walking our pup around the campground because one aggressive sounding dog almost burst through the door when we walked by. Dumpster is in dark corner of the grounds, need a flashlight. It seems there may only be one or two sites for traveling folks, and those are close enough to the road that you sort of feel like you’re in a Walmart lot. Neighbor was so close that we had no room to sit outside. No patio pad, no grass and not enough room to put up our awning. The sites on either side of us had picnic tables under old shelter roofs, but we had none. Unfortunately, this and another “park” just like it are the only two in town. Unfortunate, because this town has lots of horse farms, polo, etc., and a very sweet downtown, and you’d think a well-kept RV Park would do a good business here. - BobnLou

This is an older park. Note that the park is in an owner transition .... hopefully a positive outcome. Also, of the 54 sites listed it appeared that the majority are full time residents. Camper next to me had been there for eight years. - Celtic Traveler

Great place to stay. Clean and quiet. Great location and access to highway and Aiken center. We will be back. There is a great manager and he runs a tight ship. Very friendly atmosphere. - DJ_1

This is a worker's park with some noise from the road. We called for a reservation and were told our site. When we arrived we pulled into our site, set-up and then went to the office. Great for an overnight stop mainly because of price. We didn't realize it at the time but the PA site said $15 and we were charged $20. We assume the PA site needs to be updated. - Wandering

We used it as a 1 night stay on a Saturday night. Right on a busy 4 lane highway. A lot of permanent sites, fema trailers. Grass needs cutting, and trees/shrubs need trimming. A little TLC and it would be a lot more attractive. - CBJ-Pitmastet
May 2016 - $15.00
We stopped at Pine Acres Campground for a few days of rest and recharging as we were repositioning from north Texas to Virginia. Although our rig at 43' was a little large for their sites, they made one available to us and we fit in ok. The owners/managers were on site and were very kind and helpful. We would definitely visit this campground again. - pattic777

They have great fishing. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They have a nice store for your convenience. There is a dump station. - Kayla-69_

Nice state park with easy access. You really need to drive through it before you pick a spot as a lot of the sites and T shaped where two campers back in to each side. There are a couple of pull throughs and some single back in sites. Lady at check-in came across a little grumpy but rangers we met were extremely friendly. - WayBro
Jun 2015 - $24.00
I love this park! Water is beautiful. Deer everywhere! Sites are great! Crappie are big! Roads are paved! Bath houses are always clean. The park is clean, really nice park. - Aprillm
Nov 2014 - $24.00
This was our second trip here and I like the park, but there are some serious problems with the staff or better yet lack of staff. The park it self is beautiful and the sites are large and easy to get to the water. Office hours are from 2pm -4pm and we didn't see the ranger drive by but twice the whole weekend. The bath houses are ok, but not good water pressure. The big problem are the squarters. We had some in the sight next to us both times. The incoming families had to ask them to leave because the rangers were no were to be found. We watched the squaters move to the next sight. So if you like a safe secure campground pass this one by, which is to bad because the lake is beautiful and the sites are large and private. - gsimichele
