Big rig friendly with level sites. Easy on and off to highway. Showers, WiFi, dog park, and cable was good. No problem with our satellite. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Grocery store was within walking distance. Walmart was 6 miles. The capital was 8 miles and was an easy drive. Several flea markets open only on weekends were close to the campground.

Good space between sites. Level sites. Lots of permanent residents, but they are on the other side of a lake.

Overall Rating:

Large park with 130 FHU back in and pull through rv spaces with cable and picnic table. It appears that the majority of the sites are occupied by long term/permanents. Sites are comprised of hard packed sand or gravel and have a small concrete patio. There are also 4 water/electric "overflow" spaces which are oddly placed on the interior road. Grass area between sites with decent separation and a few trees, but no privacy. Interior roads were paved and easy to navigate. We stayed in site A2, a very long pull through site that was fairly level. Two bathhouse/laundry buildings in the park. The bathroom closest to us had 3 toilets and 2 showers, and was attractive and clean. Laundry area near us had 4 washers and 4 dryers ($1.50 per each) which worked great. Park amenities include a dog park, small playground, pavilion, duck pond, meeting room and small exercise room. Park also offers rv storage. Utilities worked well and Verizon service was good. Free wifi but we didn't use. Office sells gifts and a small selection of rv supplies, but does not sell food items. Propane sold onsite. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond for us when we had to extend our stay due to Hurricane Dorian. There were lots of ants here, so make sure to spray your jacks and hoses. Overall, a decent park and we would return. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Grocery store, gas station, package store and several places to eat are all within walking distance. There is a flea market adjacent to the park which is open on the weekends.

Large, paved, clean park. Nightly rate is for "overflow" site as the park was fully booked for Labor Day weekend. But it worked out fine for us, because this overflow site offered both water and electricity, not to mention the price. We stayed 3 nights and made great camper friends. Although the next door Barnyard Flea Market was open for the weekend, the park was very quiet on Labor Day weekend. We had to use a couple of leveling blocks, and the WiFi was down (Ethernet cable available in office kiosks); The staff was very courteous We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great park. The person in the office was knowledgeable with a great personality. Everything is clean and well kept. There are 2 laundry areas at a reasonable cost. The sites were very spacious. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground out from downtown Columbia, but still close to I20. It is adjacent to a huge flea market, but we were not there when the flea market was open. The lots were very long, level with good utilities. Gravel sites and most had some trees (but we still could get satellite). We were there just for an overnight, but it really is nice if you are staying a few days in the area. We would stay here again. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Access from Interstate 20 to the park was easy and straight forward. This main road was wide and in good condition. This large (129 spaces), neat and clean park, seems to have a large percentage of long stays or possibly full-timers. The bathhouse closest to us was clean and orderly; also had a clean, larger than expected laundry. There is a small playground for children. Our assigned site was easy to access and close to the main entrance. There was no wi-fi, so had to rely on Verizon wireless; also no cable at our site. The flea market, mentioned by others, was not open during our stay. We stayed here strictly for closeness to family in Columbia. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Columbia is about 20 minutes away and has many things - children's museum, an excellent zoo, history museums, etc. During some Univ. of South Carolina events (football games, new student arrivals, etc.) there could be lots of traffic and people.

We have stayed in this park before and loved it. It is about 2 miles off I-20 and was a very nice overnight for us in the past. However, I guess we had always stayed midweek. This time we were there on a Saturday night, and there is a large year-round flea market right next door that is open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. They started setting up at about 3AM on Sunday morning, ruining our night's sleep. We were on an overflow campsite because they were full when I made my reservation 6 weeks in advance, which was OK (W/E, but no S). The overflow area is on a wide driveway which becomes a lot more narrow with overflow campers, and it is adjacent to the flea market! I put out my reflective roadside safety triangles because I was uncomfortable with how close the small amount of traffic was to my 5th wheel and slides, which helped a bit to slow people down and keep them a few extra feet away. I would stay here again, but not in the overflow and probably not on a flea market night. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean , quiet campground, and the closest to visit Congaree National Park, a 30 minute drive away. Our site was a bit narrow, as our slide protruded over the picnic table. Wifi poor, as with most campgrounds, but the cable was decent. Water and electric were fine. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice RV park with large pull thru sites. We had no problem maneuvering our 40 footer with tow into our site. We took a walk around the park and noticed all sites are level and large. Park is about 3 miles off I-26 and a little less off I-20, easy in and out. Two very clean and convenient laundries. Staff friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.A-1.
