This is a clean park for adults. There are occasional distant barking dogs, but otherwise it's very quiet. Sites are gravel and dirt, near level, wide, not especially long, with no shade. Water faucets are somewhat below ground, making connection awkward. Some sites have unthreaded sewer connections. Voltage is good. Roads in the park are gravel, adequately wide, in good condition, with a few small potholes. The road into the park is asphalt, in very good condition, but essentially one lane; there's not room for two larger RVs to get past each other. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi is strong; typical speed is 60 kB/s, but can be much slower. Verizon LTE works well. Laundry: 1 top-loader ($1.50), 1 dryer ($1.50 for 45 min.). There is one shower. Rate is the daily rate; there are also very reasonable weekly and monthly rates. Cash only. - wjzcbn
Apr 2014 - $25.00
Lovely park with two lakes, fishing and surrounded by trees. Very quiet and private. Gated security. The owner is very nice and honest. I accidentally gave her $20 too much and she came back to return it. The only negative is some of the sites are not very level. We couldn't set up in the first one because of this. If we are ever in this area again we definitely would stay here. - DennisD
Apr 2010 - $20.00
A clean and quiet facility. Campground appears to be a work in progress: still developing. Road directions were a bit nebulous, but eventually found the place. All in all, not bad. - MaryAnnFrederick
Sep 2018 - $99.00
New RV park located 3 miles from Clemson University. Mostly catering to tailgaters during football season. First Phase with 200 Sites is completed now, with another 200+ RV sites planned. Easy access from both Clemson exits off I-85 (Exit 14 and Exit 19). If you are looking for a base camp in the Clemson area for festivals or close access to Lake Hartwell this is a nice choice. Plenty of room for big rigs. BBQ tailgate parties on Friday nights during football season. All sites are paved, full hook up with water, sewer and power - 30/50AMP service. Sites are designed for up to 45' RVs and 1 tow vehicle. Any camper, 5th wheel, tag along, motorhome, tents and vans are welcome. One tent or RV per site. Property backs up to Fants Grove with bike and horse/equestrian trails - Cashlin
Oct 2018 - $35.00
I enjoyed this campground mostly for really feeling like you were camping, not packed in on top of each other. No amenities, but we did not need or want any. Full hookups. Quiet. - PamelaA
Sep 2018 - $30.00
This is the nicest campground we have stayed. We were there a week and enjoyed every moment. The purpose of our stay was to research potential living areas in the Anderson/Greenville vicinity, and Ivy Acres is centrally located. We had an internal electrical problem in our travel trailer and the owners of Ivy Acres were nice enough to loan us a heavy duty electrical cord to help us through our electrical dilemma. - Michaelg
Jul 2018 - $35.00
It should be noted that this is a 45 year plus park, and there is no bathroom or shower facilities provided. The campground is a country farm setting. The sites are gravel, the hookups worked fine. The WiFi is spotty. This is a very quiet park, with walking trails around the large property. It actually is a very nice place for visiting Greenville with easy access, even though it really doesn't appear like it on arriving. Several food places and services a short distance north in Powdersville. Don't waste your time in Piedmont, not much there. The park itself is kept well maintained even though you seldom see staff after checkin, which is not a bad thing. We would stay here again while in this area. - Randoni
Sep 2017 - $25.00
We stayed here Labor Day weekend. Was very hesitant at first after reading other reviews, but so glad we took a chance! This campground is wonderful! We loved it so much that we stayed the whole week and going back again this weekend! This has been one of the cleanest campgrounds we have stayed at. The bathrooms/showers are constantly cleaned throughout the day. The staff go above and beyond, keeping everything clean and safe for visitors. You can tell they really care about their park! My 4 year old granddaughter really loved the putt-putt area and beach area. We stayed in a 25 foot camper, so had no issues with site being too small. Cannot wait to return!! - CDSham
Jun 2017 - $25.00
First of all the staff is great! We had a reservation for a 44ft campsite and we only have a 30 ft motorhome. Easy fit right? Nope! Not only could we not fit on that site (site 98), we also couldn't fit on any of the other 8 or 9 sites they had available for the two nights we had made reservations for. We had to leave and go find another place to stay! The problem with this campground is that the gravel sites have not been maintained well at all. There are a lot of washout areas. The site selector is also very WRONG.....Here is what I mean...The site selector says you are getting a site that may be 40 plus feet long, but that just isn't there. If you wanna go...you need to go in advance and actually see the site. The sites we saw were also very unlevel...even to the point where if we could have fit would not be able to level up our coach. I would not recccomend this campground....but as I mentioned the staff is great! They did give us a refund. The other loop may be better but we were looking at catfish cove. - Sgarrett415
Sep 2014 - $25.00
Full disclosure - we drove through this campground but decided not to stay here. Sites are small gravel areas not well defined. Very limited sites for large rigs. Suitable for a one night stop but there are better choices in the area for longer stays. - linnemj
May 2018 - $26.00
First time to camp here but won't be our last. Beautiful lake view on many of the sites. Entire campground was SO clean and well kept. Staff could not have been friendlier! sites are mostly level unless rated for a smaller RV. I highly recommend this campground! - ScoobyD
Jul 2017 - $13.00
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Twin Lakes. Such a clean and beautiful area. The staff were amazing - always available for questions and suggestions on local hikes and attractions. We will definitely return and highly recommend it! - Meyka
Jun 2017 - $52.00
This was our second stay at the campground and once again, we loved it! Very clean, easy to navigate our 37ft motorhome in/out to site. Love the views of the lake from almost every site!!! Staff is always so friendly and helpful!!! - Highway Honu
Oct 2014 - $19.00
Very nice state campground! We stayed at site #5. Only thing that I did not like about the campground was the loop road. The loop road was not in good shape. Another camper could not back into site #8 due to the condition of the loop road and the trees. With our 33 ft RV, it was stressful driving thru the winding loop but we made it without hitting any trees. Watch out for drain ditches on the sides of the loop road! For this reason, we would probably not stay here again although we loved the site itself. The natural bridge trail was nice and we did it with 3 dogs and 3 kids but it can be tricky and slippery in sections. In my opinion, site #2 is easiest to back into. Site #3 is not bad either. Site #4 is a nice pull thru. Our site #5 is hard to get into if you have a big rig but wonderful site once you are in! Bathrooms were very clean but not updated. Two out of 3 toilets in the ladies' restroom were out. Showers were clean (no doors / just curtains). Park is thrash free which means that thrash cans have been removed. Pack it in / Pack it out. - Tatiana
Aug 2005 - $13.00
Although this park is small it is a great getaway for rest with trails and a park museum. It allows easy acess to two great lakes. Easy to make Reservations through state parks web site. We stayed in the RV section and camped in a tent (tent section was full of scouts but they were quite a mouses) but we now have a popup trailer for our next visit this fall. Good for a stop over on hwy 11 or a week of rest!! - goldfarmer
Aug 2018 - $35.00
nice campground with paved roads. White Oak section sites are further apart. What's nice about this park is the hiking trails with waterfalls and a lake. - RedwineRVing
Aug 2018 - $90.00
We stayed here for 3 nights. This was the last rv section at the end of a very winding road. Only lot avaiable I was told. There were several lots vacant in other parts that people came on the 3rd night. The bathrooms and showers were nasty. Wet towels on the floor until the day we left. Mud was everywhere inside the B/R. Lots had just power and water, but there was the smell of someone dumping his tanks. I spoke to a Jr Ranger (twice) bout the dirty bath, showers and the smell. The only person that had a hose out was the site host. The Jr. Ranger looked the other way. I found out that he never passed the word to the park admin. The main check in is a long way from the parking lot . There is no drive up for handicap people. There are plenty af H/C spaces but it was a long walk to the door. Move your H/C parking close to the check in building !!!!!!!!!!!!! We had no cell phone, tv reception was poor and power went out for a time . Couldn't sleep CPAP has to have power. Never again will I leave my generator at home ! And never again will I stay there. - SubVet SSBN619
Oct 2015 - $19.00
This is one of our favorite camping locations in spite of the minor problems pointed out by other reviews.
The Roads are a bit narrow, some of the sites aren't perfectly level. We also found some erosion where the gravel driveways into the sites leave the paved loop.
BUT - The views here are amazing. The lake is fantastic. But mostly this park has some of the best hiking in the South. Great trails that pass many waterfalls and creeks. It's also great to take drives into the Jocastes Gorges and Ceasar's Head areas and enjoy the views, waterfalls and other hikes.
We found the staff very friendly.
But the BEST THING about the park - there is almost NO Cell service and NO Wifi except at the store. So we can focus on camping without being bothered by the office, or tempted to play with our electronic devices. - Buddy Ray
Jul 2018 - $47.00
This is our 5th stay at this fabulous RV Park. Big open sites, very easy to navigate, good grass between sites, lovely staff, clean restrooms/showers, picnic table, large pool, grounds well tended, trash collection, excellent wifi. The park is on beautiful Lake Keowee. Peaceful and brilliant night skies. We certainly recommend. - Harris England
Jun 2018 - $54.00
Park sits on a hill over looking a nice lake. Roads are paved and pull through pads are gravel, long, level and spacious and with a picnic table. There are no trees. Our campsite was close to lake so view was terrific. Wifi was slow. Park has docks and boat ramp. - Tom Willing
Sep 2017 - $50.00
Short, sweet and to the point: We'll be back! Beautiful campground on Lake Hartwell. Easy to navigate with our 45'. This place was really nice, clean, spacious, great hook-up, lots of water pressure, internet was also good. The site we had was quite level. In fact, all the sites looked good and level. Driving in and out was easy and had more than ample room to navigate. - Full_Timers_2017
Aug 2017 - $28.00
Very nice County owned campground. Lots of children, dogs and various types of boats. We had a site on top of the hill with great views on the lake. we camped 3 nights in a 30' Class C. - Hey You
Apr 2017 - $30.00
This park was completely redone over the winter 2016-2017 and re-opened April 2017. All new 20-30-50 Amp power pedestals and hose bibs. All of the RV sites have been graded and fresh gravel and crush&run added. Sites are mostly level but you may need blocks or wood to get your RV completely level. All of the roads through the campground are now paved. The layout of the campground was not changed so the previous map should still be good and the map on ReserveAmerica appears to be correct. The downside of all the renovations is there is a lot of bare good ol' Carolina red clay. They have seeded all of the bare areas but it will take awhile for the grass (or weeds) to grow. Until then, if it rains (it did for us), there is a lot of red mud around. The bathhouses were not redone and are a bit dated but were clean when we were there. This will depend upon the campground hosts though since cleaning is one of their duties. There are two for the campground. This was a "shakedown" trip for us to see what we'd forgotten to put back in the trailer after the winter. We only live a few miles from the park and drive over often because it is a nice park. The day use area has two boat ramps and a group of nice concrete picnic tables on the lake. We had walked the campground several times before the renovations and what they have done is really a nice improvement. - WA4HTZ
Aug 2016 - $28.00
We stayed in a pull through, site 10. It was terrible, right on the road, could not open our awnings, no yard to sit in, put our rug out, so close to park road people ran over it, dog poop everywhere, no one picks up after their dogs, lake is pretty, close to Clemson. - Sharronak
