Rate reflects monthly stay. It is always a pleasure to stay here. The owner and manager are more than friendly, helpful people who make you feel at home. Great location for exploring the area. Easy in and out off of I-85. Sites are more than adequate, WiFi was exceptionally fast and reliable. - Roadkraut
Oct 2018 - $45.00
This is a nice friendly, clean campground. Most of the residents are longer term but the campground is clean and free of any clutter usually seen in parks with longer term residents. There is still room for those looking for overnight or short term stays. Full hookups and 50 amp at all sites. No showers or bathhouse. This campground is convenient to BMW and all the other places in the I-85 corridor between Spartanburg & Greenville. I'd definitely stay here again. - Woody48
Aug 2018 - $45.00
I've stayed at many luxury resort & by far this is the most sweet small quaint RV Park. Very clean, well groomed and the friendliest staff. The manager is very professional and pleasant, my wife and watch her pull weeds, pick up trash, visit with guest and run the office. You can tell she loves what she does. Park is very fortunate to have her. This park is pet friendly with a very nice large pet park. We sat by their fire pit under the lights watching a beautiful sunset. Totally recommend this quiet park. - RVersFullTime

This was a needed stop to get off the road due to bad storms. It appears this used to be a KOA some time ago. Most of the sites had permanet campers on them. Some appeared to have been on site for some time. The pool appeared to be in good shape and clean. There was one site left and it only had water and electric. The 50amps supplied plenty of power to utilize both a/c's. The site was long enough for our 34 ft. motorhome and toad. - cedarcreek36rlts
Mar 2018 - $45.00
very well kept full laundry mat open 24 hours , covered picnic shelter, excercise room olympic pool, level sites Women and mens bath houses with restrooms they also sell propane. the staff is very friendly and helpful alot of people are full timers and some are construction workers here temporarly. the campground is very quiet but neighbors are friendly. Shopping is very close like Walmart or Target other Grocery stores are nearby too as well as conveint stores. There are several mobile RV techs available who can service your RV,also several Rv stores near by. - brucegalbraith
Apr 2017 - $36.00
This is an older campground with many long term campers and and apparently deserted units. It appears to be under new ownership or new management and they seem to be making some improvements. The bathrooms need upgrading, the roads are in poor condition with potholes and ruts as well as tree roots. It is quite a ways from the interstate so there is no traffic noise. Pets appear to be allowed to run loose (despite requirement for leashing) as we found numerous areas of animal droppings in our site. The single staff person we saw was very helpful even moving us to a site other than the one assigned when we made our reservation as he was uncertain if we would be able to reach the sewer hookup at the back of the site. We will probably not return except in an emergency. - grandma0942

For longer stays, such as retirees for a season or longer. Gravel roads, sloped sites; trees, shrubs & grass make it much more pleasant. Sites are close, but it is no parking lot. Fully self-contained units only. Many have added decks or patios.
Only special feature is the Flower Mill, which we didn't get to see. - Carolina Girl
Jun 2005 - $20.00
A truly relaxing stay. Quiet and tranquil. Monthly rates are only $200. Will stay longer next time. The Old mill was great for BBQ's. The waterfall at the river could be heard at our site and made sleeping at night peacful. The people are great and many of them have been here for a long time and know the area well. - llmannjr

Rough place for the most part. Very accommodating though. Nearly all shaded and woodsy. No grass, all dirt and crushed stone. Several units that haven't moved in years and shouldn't have been inhabited but were. Almost no grass for dogs. Would not go back. - johns3
Apr 2010 - $30.00
Convenient park for visiting Taylors or the surrounding area. We were here for a five day church conference in Taylors. Many permanent or semi-permanent RV's, but they have some short term spots available. There are no toilets or showers, but full hookups with 30 or 50 amp are available. It worked for us, and we would stay here again if in the area. - bill1443
Jul 2009 - $30.00
We stayed here for 2 nights while attending the Greenville AKC dog show. Mostly permanent and long-term residents, but the "overnight" sights have plenty of room and the roads are wide. The residents were very friendly and the owner (even though I never actually SAW her) was accessible by cell phone and very accommodating and helpful. Very quiet park with lots of trees. Great location close to downtown and Carolina First Center. No Wi-Fi or cable for overnight guests (I think they have cable for long-term). - melissab7

Dec 2018 - $45.00
We stayed four nights while visiting friends in Greenville. This just isn't much of a park. Listed as big rig friendly and though we got in and out the roads were in terrible shape with holes and steep inclines. Hook ups worked just fine but location held a lot of water. Calf deep in water while unhooking. In their defense it had rained quite a bit. Very over priced for what is included. Good location for Greenville where, hopefully, someone will open a new park as there just aren't many to pick from. - SHIPM8
Oct 2018 - $40.00
Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting friends in the Simpsonville area. Park is older, but nicely arranged and the utilities are in good, functional shape. Entrance might be a little tight for larger rigs. Interior road would be no problem. We were met at the check in point and quickly escorted to our site. Site was level and well drained, as we arrived shortly after Hurricane Michael went through the area, and there was no problem with water. The hookups, though obviously older, all worked well. The WiFi worked well, though they do not allow streaming video. - BounderPounder

What a wonderful, hospitable family that owns this campground! They are super friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, which we appreciated very much. For example, even though it had recently stopped raining, they offered to turn on the inflatable jump pad for our kids. This is a tidy campground with attention to detail. The bathrooms were immaculate, as clean as any we've seen all over the country. I caught several bass on their one acre catch-and-release pond and the kids enjoyed feeding the ducks. We had full LTE cell service (AT&T) and the wi-fi was good. We stayed one night in site #31, a pull-thru with full hook ups. If you need to camp in the Spartanburg area, do yourself a favor and come stay with these kind folks. - texasAUtiger
Sep 2018 - $41.00
The campground is several miles from the major highway and is quiet. It is a nice campground but a bit dated. Restrooms were spotless and beautiful. Pull through were a bit tight for the 39' 5th wheel. When we arrived the owner (wife) told us that they lived on site and could be contacted if there were any problems. My wife purchased 2 T-shirts. The following morning she discovered that the T-shirts did not fit. The office was closed so we called the campsite number (7:45 AM). No one responded and we found out that the office did not open until 10:00. We walked to the owner's home and a camp worker told us just go to the house. Owner opened the door and asked why we were on his property. Gave him the shirts and told him just to refund the money to our account. A little while later as were leaving, he drove up and was irate that we had come to his home and gave me the $20. In all the places we have visited, I have never been treated so rudely. - Bill Healy
Sep 2018 - $40.00
Very quiet campground about 4 miles from the interstate. We had a level pull-through site. Our internets, both Verizon and T-Mobile, were spotty. There is a small, maybe 50' hill with a 8-10% grade when you leave. We were able to get a signal on our Direct TV satellite dish, and there are many OTA channels available. We would stay here again. - Liz I.

Narrow road with tight curves and blind spots, be especially wary with large RV (we have 38 foot MH). No level sites, only a few with slight grade. Nice trails around the small lake that has swimming, fishing and kayaks for rent. Very convenient to downtown Greenville. - macevir
Dec 2017 - $25.00
Like many previous reviewers noted, the roads to the campground are very narrow and windy, so make sure to arrive before dark to make your life easier. Since we came here with a 40' motorhome, we were nervous about the narrow roads. However, the rangers Sean and Tom were extremely helpful. They temporarily blocked park traffic and escorted us in their pickup trucks to the campsite so that there were no cross-traffic as we drove from the entrance to the campground, and again did the same on our way out. The park was beautiful and only about 20 minutes to downtown Greenville. - Jessica M
Jul 2017 - $22.00
Paris Mountain State Park is an excellent place to stay if you are wanting to be convenient to downtown Greenville. The site was clean and while it was a bit tight when it came to backing in, there was plenty of room once you got settled. Also, our site was fairly level and didn't require much adjusting (definitely pay attention to the grade listed on the website... other sites were definitely not as level). The camp host was very quick to meet and greet us with registration information (I mean, he was there waiting before we even got ready to back into the site), but didn't bother us at all for the rest of our stay. Tons of walking trails and a swimming area located near the main office on the lake. The only issue we thought we might have was that we were told a day before checkout that the dump station was full and that they were working on getting it emptied. They apparently were on top of things because it was fine when we left the next day. - FlowerChild7275

Apr 2017 - $20.00
We stayed for 3 weeks and loved it even though we had to move sites a couple of times to work around other previous reservations. We stayed on both sides - the lake campground and the office campground. The lake side is beautiful but the sites are smaller and not as level. Site 48 was great on that side - long, level, and spacious (but not next to the water.) The roads on this side are tight and steep in spots. On the office side, the roads are easier to maneuver and the sites are all spacious and pretty level. We attended a horse show on Saturday morning which was fun. We saw lots of people renting boats and using the lake for boating and fishing. The campground is 3 miles from the front gate, and cell signal is almost non-existent in the park. We had no T-Mobile signal and only 1-2mb download signal with our Verizon booster. The park rangers and campground hosts were all very nice and helpful. We would go back here! - mmhopper
Jan 2017 - $25.00
Stayed in office loop. Most sites level, in office loop, tho close. Host. Feb to November they have big horse shows the 3rd weekend of month therefore very busy. Lake is nice. Watch out for horse poop piles. Loop was tight w 35' fifth wheel but manageable. - Grady1
May 2016 - $26.00
Large state park with wooded campground, playground, horse rings and stables and many trials for biking, walking, etc. There is even a shooting range in the state park if that interests you. No sewer at the sites, but a dump station near the entrance. The campground is several miles from the main park entrance. Sites are good size with a fire pit and picnic table. The lake loop has numerous sites with views of the lake. There is no swimming in the lake, but kayaks and canoes to rent. - Kelsey Ledare

Mar 2012 - $44.00
The previous reviewers that classify this park as a bait and switch park are correct. This CG is in the current PA catalog and on the PA website. They are not on the "discontinued campground" list. Our rate was $44. a night, which is too much for this area. Oh, they do call this place a "resort". It does appear as if a lot of work was put into this CG. The small office is very nice and has a deck outback. The laundry room is small (2 each washer and dryer) and clean. Restrooms are also clean. Free wifi was satisfactory, the free cable was not. The picture was very fuzzy. There was a cable repair man out but the clear picture remained clear for only a short period. Another unpleasant occurrence was a sanitation pump truck working a few feet away from us for over an hour. Both noisy and smelly. Even though we will pass through here twice a year, we won't stay again. - hunkahunka
Jun 2011 - $26.00
We chose this campground based on the most recent review thinking corrections had been made with new management. When we called we were told that they took Passport America. Got here and was given site #5 which is five sites from a busy highway. Told on the phone we would have site #26 (which was a big back in site away from the noise that stayed empty during our visit). The site was the most difficult in five years of RVing and I had to jack knife to get in. The "stream" in the back of the sites are a trickle of water so "waterfront sites" is a misnomer. The bathrooms in the office are outdated and has mold issues. There is no clear on site manager or person with legitimate power to make decisions. When we asked for a receipt, there was a discount but the office person said they do not take Passport America and we were charged for "free Wi-Fi." The Passport America logo is up on their door. Sounds like bait and switch. There are 13 sites with permanent residents which lend a different atmosphere than the "resort" they claim to be. Some of the permanent RVs looked old and deserted but were being occupied. The game room and new laundry are in utility sheds up a hill. The game room shed has some video games and that is it. I would not return which is unfortunate because the grounds are well kept and with reconfiguration of sites and on-site management this could be a "resort." But not under the current circumstances. - TailsAwagging
Dec 2010 - $36.00
A great park. We have stayed here twice, once in June 2010 and we came back in Dec. The summer visit was great and we had a wonderful time so decided to return in Dec. We got everything we had hoped for, even a white Christmas. We love this park and now they have a pool and game room, and laundry room, with two new showers and pool rec area opening this summer: it just keeps getting better. I can say: this is the nicest park, the best place to come for a family, to hike, rest and relax. They have a lot to offer and the price is very reasonable. A very clean, neat park and you can tell the management really cares about how the park looks and wants everyone to enjoy their stay. - jhouse

Jan 2019 - $70.00
From start to finish, our experience was excellent. The campground is long and somewhat narrow, but the roads are easy to navigate and well maintained. A lot of tree cover, which I can imagine is pretty in the later months and beautiful in the fall. There is a creek that runs behind the campground and a walking trail that, due to the weather, we didn't explore. We stayed in the "Deluxe Patio" site (site 38) which has an area behind the site that the converted to a sitting area with lights, a swing and a fire pit along the creek. While it was somewhat chilly, we did enjoy sitting there for a bit and listening to the water flow by. The site was more expensive, but was worth it for that alone. The site itself was great - gravel but level with a long, wide concrete patio complete with table and chairs, charcoal grill and firepit. The site was more than long enough for our motorhome and toad. Wifi service is included and was quite speedy but the fact that this is the middle of January and the park wasn't very crowded should be taken into consideration. As far as cellular is concerned, both AT&T and Verizon have very good coverage and we had no issue with connectivity. We met the owner and he explained that he had reduced the number of "primitive tent" sites to two (the absolute minimum for a KOA campground) and placed a premium on those. It was evident that he wants to maintain the quality of the park and it definitely shows. We, too, were warned of the high water pressure and also acknowledged that we had a regulator to prevent blow outs. It is nice to see a park that is well maintained, provides excellent utilities and has ownership that is genuinely concerned about the comfort of their guests. We picked this park as a somewhat convenient stop on the way home from our visit to Freightliner for service, but have definitely added this park to our list of places we want to return to. - PirateMonkey
Nov 2018 - $60.00
Our 4th trip here. The owners are very nice and care about their campground. Many improvements to an already great place. The staff is willing to help and friendly. - Skipp
Aug 2018 - $51.00
This is for sure one of the best parks we have ever used! They greeted us as we arrived! and then escorted us to the site and helped us back in, showed us every thing, just over the top greeting. The place is as clean as can be, all gravel roads and sites. Never a problem with water, and it rained a lot during our stay. Plenty of shade, and quite. The location is great, 6 miles from Travelers Rest downtown, 17 miles to Greenville and surrounded by several other small interesting towns. We arrived planning on staying 4 days and stayed for 10. - Gerry9
