We thought we would give this park a try, as we had never stayed in a county park. I was pleasantly surprised with this facility. The full hookup sites are really nice because they are paved and near the lake. Nice size lake and you can bring your boat if you like. Beautiful and peaceful place with lots of things for kids to do. The only negative I can think of is some of the hookups are placed in kinda weird places, and longer hoses are needed. We will definitely be returning! - Bullit

Nice county park on a small lake with a lot of recreational opportunities. The interior roads have numerous speed humps that can drag on campers. Rangers were friendly. Camp store was open during limited hours. - DPH
Nov 2016 - $30.00
We also paid a $4 online reservation fee. We chose a site with full hook-ups including 50amp. All services worked well. Despite there being trees everywhere, we were able to obtain a DirecTV satellite signal (Site 39). Our dish is mounted on our roof near the front of our coach. This is a lovely county park with a beautiful lake, beach, swimming area, playgrounds and numerous trails for hiking and biking. During mid-November, the CG was approx 15% full which made it very relaxing. We enjoyed our time here and didn't want to leave! We would definitely stay here again. - GottaGoNow

An old farm converted to campsites. Many not usable. Most of the residents are permanent with very old and shabby trailers. Bath house very run down and needs to be razed and rebuilt. On the positive side the old owner passed away and the son is trying to run it through an estate. The son is friendly and helpful but he needs to do a lot of renovations. He realizes this and wants to do things right. Maybe in a few years this will be a nice park. - esta34950

Lovely place to spend a fall week-end. Not a lot of "attractions." There is a nice museum and some well kept trails but I think the main draw is the peace and quiet.
Our 23' TT and extended cab fullsize truck fit fine, but I wouldn't want to pull much longer in there. But there was a 40' class A in the pull through site next to us, so it can be done.
Mostly shady sites. Clean restrooms. Site surface is a concrete pad featuring a fire ring and picnic table. - richamor

Campsites are extremely tight. This park could be much better, but too many trees and sites are too close together. I almost gave up but we finally we able to get our camper in after neighbors moved their cars. The trees right on the road make navigating through the park hazardous. We stayed in one of the only two full hookup sites. The back-in site stated it was for a 40 ft camper but was really for a pop up. Site was very unlevel. There is a nice lake for fishing so its not all bad, but campground needs to cut some trees before I will go back.
You get what you pay for. Don't expect a lot of room. - Pete Trurnero

Visited in Cold Weather ( nights below freezing ). The campground has freeze proof water connections at site and we just disconnected hose at night and reconnected during the day. Very nice small pack, a little tight for larger rigs. We stayed in site 11 which is a bit of a trick to back in between trees and drop off along side of site. We will choose another site ( lots of good other choices ), on a second visit. Suggested to park management that they may want to consider removing the problematic tree. :-) Good location, trails to hike and good historical visit. Close to Landsford Canal SP as well if you are interested in Upstate SC history. 8 miles from shopping, gas and dining if needed. - Dale-from-NC
