We were running from Dorian when this campground was suggested. We called and were given a premium site for $60 per night. When we arrived, we discovered this site was completely surrounded by tall trees, making satellite TV impossible. The manager was kind enough to find us a satellite friendly site on a concrete pad. All utilities worked well. Sites big enough to accommodate most coaches. Park was clean and well kept. Full playground for the kids on site along with large pool. Management were some of the nicest folks we have ever encountered. Only drawback to the CG is the rough, narrow entry/exit, but it is passable. Great food, great folks and a great campground. Definitely would go back. We camped in a fifth wheel. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Right down the highway is the Country Cafe where the food is excellent, service is friendly, and when they found out we were running from the hurricane, gave us free deserts! Search your GPS for it. About five miles from the CG, but well worth the drive.

It is more than refreshing to have campers walk into our doors with positive attitudes such as yours, during the most difficult situations. We try our very best to put Hurricane Evacuees anywhere we can. Brad was able to put you in a more open air site to accommodate your need for satellite. We strive to be the very best we can, we work hard and you noticed. Thanks so very much for staying with us. Hopefully the next time not under a bad situation. Safe travels & blessings to your beautiful family.

The campground is several miles from the major highway and is quiet. It is a nice campground but a bit dated. Restrooms were spotless and beautiful. Pull through were a bit tight for the 39' 5th wheel. When we arrived the owner (wife) told us that they lived on site and could be contacted if there were any problems. My wife purchased 2 T-shirts. The following morning she discovered that the T-shirts did not fit. The office was closed so we called the campsite number (7:45 AM). No one responded and we found out that the office did not open until 10:00. We walked to the owner's home and a camp worker told us just go to the house. Owner opened the door and asked why we were on his property. Gave him the shirts and told him just to refund the money to our account. A little while later as were leaving, he drove up and was irate that we had come to his home and gave me the $20. In all the places we have visited, I have never been treated so rudely. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Pine Ridge Campground, owner at Pine Ridge Campground responded to this review

We appreciate that you found our facilities clean and quiet, a mere 2.5 miles off I 26. Our campground was built in the '70's & we pride ourselves with the amount of updates we have accomplished in our 6 years of ownership. We have so many excellent reviews. We can hold 45 foot campers with tows, no problem. I believe the issue was more about coming to our private home at 7:45 am. We work 80 long hours a week, which most campground owners can attest to that, our privacy & our home is a welcome treasure from very long days. We are so blessed that campers respect our privacy and our private home. We are happy to address non emergencies in our office during our posted business hours. As I recall your wife spent a good amount of time trying on shirts the day before and seemed happy with her purchases. Would you be so kind to let us know what work camper informed you to come to our home? As we did not have any work campers at that time.

Very quiet campground about 4 miles from the interstate. We had a level pull-through site. Our internets, both Verizon and T-Mobile, were spotty. There is a small, maybe 50' hill with a 8-10% grade when you leave. We were able to get a signal on our Direct TV satellite dish, and there are many OTA channels available. We would stay here again. Entry into the campground is not very wide and has steep short hills. The interior roads are not very wide but we were able to navigate without issue. Our site was a back in and we had plenty of room to maneuver. The staff here is second to none. The park itself is well set up and has about anything you could want. We were there for one Saturday and there were kids laughing and having fun everywhere. It was nice. At night they had a movie in their pavilion. Very family oriented. We would stay there again if we could get the same site we had but with a few exceptions we didn't consider it a big rig friendly park. The wifi worked for us and we had good Verizon signal. Road leading into the camp is very hilly and winding. A little scary with a 38' trailer, but navigatable. We had a pull through gravel site that was fairly level. Wi-Fi worked well, no cable available. I wouldn't consider this a destination campground, but suitable for overnight stays. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a mountain camp and would be nice for a vacation mountain stay. We were there only overnight. There are pull-thru's and back-ins with full hook-ups with grass or natural woods in between. Ours was a fairly level cement pull-thru; others were gravel. Picnic table and fire ring. Pool. Good wifi! No cable; some TV stations via antenna. Catch & release pond. Road to get to camp is a bit scary for a big rig - a large up/down area and internal roads were not designed for big rigs but the owner keeps trees well trimmed to lessen any risk. Only one vehicle can go in/out or around at a time. There were other big rigs there when we were there. The owners are wonderful and lead you to your spot. They have a fun rec room. We would stay here again. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The road out front was under construction so that made for some difficulty but the owner was kind enough to call and let us know the best way to get in. Yes the road in is a little steep, but nothing I haven't seen before. Owners were very friendly and were happy to share things to do in the area. We used the pool a couple of times; 8 ft. which was something you don't see often which I really liked. The restrooms were clean and showers were large. We stayed for a week in a fifth wheel and spent one more night on our way back through from Charleston; would definitely stay here again if in the area. A little tough to find. Off I-26, take exit 28, US-221 north, but go past the sign pointing to the campground. Instead, continue up to and turn right on US-215, then right on Otts Shoals Road (you'll pass the elementary school on the right) to Pineridge Campground Road on your left. It has a good sign which reflects very nicely after dark. Road is steep down then steep climb to campground office. Campground roads are narrow asphalt. Campground has a pool, sells propane, no store. Sites are asphalt, full hookup/30/50 and pull-throughs are long but narrow and close to the neighbors with all utilities at the back. Sites are close together. Only some have concrete patios, fire rings, and picnic tables. The wife and I are heavy into recycling and this campground recycles everything. You are more than welcome to take whichever route you wish, however, we have signs on the easiest route. Otts Shoals rd. is being resurfaced this coming week, and will soon be wider and smoother. We do have a very limited store with some camping supplies, drinks, and ice cream. We are 15 min. or less from Camping World, Walmart, Foodlion, etc. There is no point in keeping things to just end up throwing it away. We have a variety of sites. Sunny, shady, gravel, asphalt, and concrete. All have a fire pit and picnic tables. Thanks for taking the time to make a review.

Stayed 2 weeks due to massive floods in Charleston, SC. Owners went out of there way to accommodate us to stay extra days. Site was gravel, but level, massive amount of rain but site drained well. Park has a pond and lots of trees. Owners and son are great. They have some permanents, but the sites are well maintained. It is very quiet and the people are great. Highly recommend. There are small painted with pictures, rocks at the entrance of areas such as the pool, restrooms, office, lake, play ground, etc. It was done by customers. All equipment was is top condition.
