Friendly check in to convenient location off I-95. Clubhouse was clean and inviting with free coffee. Pool is newer (small). Cable TV was a nice amenity. Looking forward to a longer stay in the future as there is lots to explore within an hour radius of the park. The staff here make you feel welcome. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Motorhome.

The park was just off I-95 and easy access. When we were there, the park was having electrical issues which were causing the main breakers to melt therefore resulting in a power outage during the heat of the day. We had to switch over to generator power for a couple of hours each day in order to keep the a/c running which was annoying. The pool looked nice although it was closed while we were there. This is a heavily treed location therefore there is lots of shade for every spot. The spots are VERY close together. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Motorhome.

It is an older park, they are trying to improve it. The sites are narrow with gravel in some areas but a lot of mud from a previous rain. They provided cable with only 20 channels, a lot of trees so no satellite. They advertise WiFi but it's only at the office not at the site. ATT was fine, electric and water worked well. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night in a 40 foot fifth wheel. The ambiance is true to the name, plenty of towering oaks. Really beautiful. However, sites are very tight and drainage is poor. Virtually all of the sites had standing water. Fine for an overnight but wouldn't want to stay here for long. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Very small tight spaces, we did not have much of a yard, but at least no one was next to us. Barely had enough room for the trailer and truck. The electric quality was good as well as the water. Not a very family friendly park as there was no playground; the mini golf course in much need of cleaning and repair; no other activities. There was a nice laundry room and club house with a pool table. They had WiFi in the clubhouse and each site had cable hookup. There was a pool but it was too cold to swim. They had a great 1.5 mile hiking trail around the lake and a small peninsula where I was able to let the dogs loose. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Travel Trailer.

Park is very rustic with lots of trees and leaves everywhere and in everything. Mud and dried mud ruts all through park. Stayed three days and never saw any employees around or working the park. Ok place to camp if you want to go sightseeing. Grocery store is 12 miles south. Cell good but dish is very bad. Cable $ We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Travel Trailer.

Easy drive from main Hwy. GPS led us off by 1 block and into a museum. Large parking lot to make U turn so that was OK. Correct road (KOA sign, none for TT) leads into a "T". TT to left, KOA to right. Received site # and rules/map. Site was gravel, but muddy into and out of. Short stay, otherwise would request larger site (many unoccupied) where MH and toad would fit unhooked. Some tight turns, but navigable. Cable was good, some channels no good. OK for stop over. Probably good during warmer weather. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Motorhome.

As you might guess from the name, this is a park filled with beautiful trees covered in Spanish Moss. The people are very friendly and our site was a good size pull through. All the sites are pull through. The only negative was that there were many large puddles after a rain that took a couple of days to drain. Our site was dry, but some were not. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this park several times. Recent improvements to the roads leading into the park and new gravel on the interior roads. The clubhouse is well maintained. There are many many more seasonals staying in the park then in the past. Extremely disappointed in our site which was the last site available. There is a large dead tree on the site which makes it impossible to pull forward out of the site when leaving. It does not make sense why the tree has not been removed. It is definetly a hazard. Although there is cable, it may not work. Previous campers had remove the adapter and no one was in the office to make the repair. Luckily we had what was needed. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Motorhome.

People very friendly and nice. Park is convent to visit sites of interest from Lots of Oaks so shady. The trees have had storm damage and tended to drop limbs from on high. We sustained damage to slide awning while there even though there was no wind or storm. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Motorhome.

Nice small park. Not much to do. Didn't check out showers/laundry. No dog run. There was a pond to walk around where we saw an alligator. It seemed there were a lot of long term campers. Spots were rock. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Travel Trailer.

This campground was terrible! There were so many trees it was hard to find a decent site. We ruined or awnings trying to get down the narrow road to a site. The trees ripped them apart. I almost lost the fingers on my left hand trying to hold back an electrical wire that was on one of the trees as our 5th wheel was trying to go by. It was rainy and the roads were ruddy and terrible. We will never stay there again. One of the problems I have found with some of the Thousand Trails campgrounds is that they are OLD and not very well maintained. They have lots of trees that are not convenient for large RV's. If they expect to people to invest in Thousand Trails they need to maintain the campgrounds. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Loys of trees and shade, be careful if you want satellite. Site 66 is long enough, but the hookups are too far back if you're towing. The trees are pretty close, so be careful or you won't be able to open some slides, you can if you're dead center in the site. It's a plane jane campground, not up to what I would expect from TT. Wifi only in the office/"Family Center". Staff was friendly and helpful/apologetic. We camped at The Oaks at Point South RV in a Motorhome.

We're thankful that they invested in plenty of gravel throughout the park since we visited two years ago. It appears that the park has improved with the general maintenance. With all the trees we could not get satellite TV reception but the free cable worked well. Our Verizon broad band was only 1 bar, 4G weak but usable. All sites are pull-thru and our's was long enough for our 40 motorhome plus our toad but no picnic table. We tried to book 14 days but could only get 9 because they were at capacity.
