Nice campground. Nice lake location. Has option of tree cover or open area. Very nice and accomadivative lady at desk that helped us get the kind of space we needed and the appropriate receipt to establish our residency in South Dakota. Really appreciate the sense of good customer service displayed by this lady which is not always found in campground staff. Also nice to be escorted to our site. Will be back again. - Nick2

Beautiful Park. Gravel pull through was mostly level and very long. Lots of grass and trees. Tailgater had no problem getting sat signal. Staff was very friendly and informative. Lake was about 100 feet from coach. Very quite. Only noise was ocassional boat on the lake. Hookups were on very good condition. Paved interior roadway looked very good for bicycles. There were only three rigs in our section of the park but when we called to register a few days before arrival there were no spaces avialable for the labor day weekend. Plan ahead for holidays. Overall a great park especially for the price. - Retiredrvr

This campground has a variety of sites, ranging from long full hookup pull-throughs down to no-hookup tenting sites. This campground accepts reservations and also offers weekly and monthly rates. There are both 30 and 50 amps sites and we were charged a couple of dollars extra for a 50. Many of the sites offer great views of Lake Kampeska. The pull-through sites are near the lake, but the hookups are shared so you end up back to back and face to face with your neighbors. Considering how long the sites are, that's probably not much of an issue. Another section of full hookups are back in, shady sites, but not along the lake. That's where we stayed. Several water/electric sites are close to the lake, really, some of the nicest sites in the park. I think it would have been a piece of cake to get satellite in any of the pull-throughs, a bit tougher in the section we were in. My Verizon signal was good, offering fast data speeds. Being that the campground is around 12 miles west of I29, it's probably not a good candidate for an overnight stop for those traveling north or south on the interstate. Still, it's a pretty nice campground if it fits your travel plans. - nazpaz
