Really enjoyed our visit. Renovations are great. Clean new laundry room with comfy seating. Quiet except for road noise but turn on fan and it never bothered us. The management was awesome. Very convenient to downtown, shopping and the airport. Easy trip to bike path as well. Look forward to getting back in a few months. We camped at Tower Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We are a 45' motorhome pulling a truck. Check in was easy and the person who checked us in was helpful and friendly. Be advised - if you are coming off I-29 you will need to turn left to get in the campground, BUT there is no left turn in front of the campground. You either need to make a U-turn at the next intersection (we were too long for that), go around the block (which is what we did) or get off an exit before the campground. This campground has an older section and a newer section. Older Section: Lots of trees (not easy to get satellite reception). Around the perimeter are several pull thrus easily long enough for a big rig and tow vehicle, or long back in sites. In the middle are shorter back in sites, with two rigs back to back. The sites on the east end abut I-29 with lots of road noise. There is lots of room between sites. Newer Section: Numerous pull thrus. Some in the middle are completely black top. Others have about three or four foot strips of grass/dirt between sites. Along the perimeter are back in sites that can accomodate 40-45 foot motorhomes/5th wheels. There is slightly more room between these sites, but right now there is just dirt. I suspect that in the future they will try and grow grass. In the new section some of the sites had the sewer pipe down far enough that there was no problem for sewage to go down hill. Some of the others though, had the sewer outlet 5-6 inches above ground level. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

I recommend this campground for RVers who don't mind staying in the city. The staff was extremely courteous, helpful and pleasant. It is a spacious park with plenty of tree shade in the back and offers level asphalt sites. The grounds were well manicured and the bath house was exceptionally clean. We camped at Tower Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park does have grass areas with trees and decent sites but almost all are taken by permanent campers. So the rest of us get to camp on the asphalt parking lot that they have converted into a campground. Yes it's an asphalt parking lot! The thing is, by the time we went to bed it was packed. The website does not say anything about this as your campsite, but does promote how close it is to everything. The park does seem clean. Hey, but the cicadas as so loud you don't hear the highway. Don't know if that's good or bad! Did get our dish up and running just to have a woman that lived here knock on the door and tell us that if we left it out it would probably be stolen. Well we put that away and got the remote they offer for their cable. It didn't work. So we watched the two channels we picked up with our antenna. Only stayed here two nights and was glad of that. So if you are here for a longer stay, I would ask for the grassy tree spots inside the park when making your reservation. We camped at Tower Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park. A lot of road noise. Try to get a site on grass. The only one they had available was a paved pad which is extremely hot in July. We camped at Tower Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I have no idea why this park has such poor ratings. We weren't going to stay here due to them, but we're glad we stopped. It is right off the freeway, but due to the cicadas, you don't much hear it. The sites are large, with nice grass patches between sites and lots of shade from the trees. We had no trouble whatsoever getting a signal for our satellite T.V. No complaints; would absolutely stay here again. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

One night stay to enable us to visit the Falls. Closest campground to them but not easy to get to the Falls due to construction. This is an older campground that needs a lot of improvements. Roads and sites are paved. Many seasonal and semi-permanent residents. Located just off the interstate in a business area but little highway noise. Main restroom very clean and modern, the small restroom nearest our site old and in need of replacement. There is cable - you are given a remote and specific instructions for operation. If the remote is not returned on departure, you will be sent a bill. Would probably return. We camped at Tower Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

About 3 miles from the Sioux Falls. Definitely worth the difficulty getting to the Falls related to highway construction. Photographs don't do them justice! If you plan to go to the restaurant at the Falls, call to check hours of operation.

This park is more expensive than it should be, given the small number of amenities. Otherwise, it is a good place. The sites are spacious; everything is clean; the self-checkin is simple and well-organized; the maintenance staff were very friendly and helpful (gave us good advice on where to get our trailer repaired locally). We were happy with everything but the price. We camped at Tower Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great people at the front desk. If you are visiting SD to establish residency these guys know how to handle it and do a good job. Sites were nice, a lot of trees so if you want satellite be sure to let them know early as not that many good spots for reception. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

Despite having reservations, the park was Closed. While the sign of the office said, "will return at 2:30" no one was ever in the office. We looked at the boards and signs and found a note for assistance to call a number or see the camp host. No one answered the number and kept just getting a recording of no use. Went to the specified site number to contact the Camp Host only to find a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the camper door. We took an envelop from the box for late check in (even though we arrived early afternoon). The information on the envelop was not accurate and none of the codes worked. We drove around the campground for a while before finding a spot we could get into. Most were ice/snow covered or very muddy or flooded. We were finally able to talk with someone on the phone who seemed to be put out we were there and asked for correct codes, remote for the TV, etc. He came to our spot with a TV remote and several little paper slips with updated codes. He said they were changed the first of the month and guessed "no one changed out the envelopes in the late check in" The Ice was so bad a our entry door we had to go through an entire bag of ice melt just to avoid slipping and prevent falling. We finally were able to get into the bathrooms only to find them in terrible condition. Not sure when the last time they were cleaned or trash emptied. This is on the most expensive RV Parks we have stayed and found to be one of the worst. The WiFi was very infrequent and unstable. The picture of the provided cable TV was terrible. At least during this time of year, the park is not kept up and friendly for overnight visitors. Most campers were older and setup for monthly longer term use. Do yourself a favor and do more checking and find a better campground and avoid this unfriendly and run down park. We camped at Tower Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The grounds were OK but not well kept, it seemed like a long term camp ground, not a RV park , spaces for people traveling were limited to as few as 6 . WIFI was not working , strong sewer smell throughout campground. Very disappointed! Just didn't feel safe. We camped at Tower Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park just off I-29. Paved roads and sites. Roads are in just OK condition. Site in good condition. Most sites have at least some shade. Not great space between sites, but OK. Picnic table provided. No wi-fi or cable. Very clean bathrooms. Plumbing is very old, but bathrooms have been remodeled with new tile floors and showers. Overall very good condition. Entrance is on main drag just a few minutes from downtown. Make sure to visit Falls Park. Lots of shopping just a couple of miles down I-29. If you are coming from the north on I-29. get off at exit 80 and take the back roads around to the park. The road at the entrance has a median. If you are heading south and you get off at exit 79, you'll have to do a very tight u-turn. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We picked Tower Campground as a one night stay during a pass through travel to Black Hills. The only positives I can say is the office staff was very polite both on the phone and check-in. The location provides a convenient off interstate, easy in and out. Our site was a tight site in the west campground between two units that looked like they were permanent residence. We were concerned that our three slide-outs would invade their "space." We apologized to one neighbor explaining that we would only be there one night. His response was: "We are used to it."

The sites and road are dirt. As another stated, for the cable tv you must have a remote from the office. A return box is provided for leaving in the AM when the office is closed. The bathhouse nearest our site was old, dirty, and creepy. It was quite a hike to use the nicer and cleaner bath house in the other campground.

Overall, the $40.00 rate is a rip-off for the site we had, and we would not stay here again. The other section of campground is a bit nicer, but ours was the pits. We camped at Tower Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to stay, as others have indicated, to establish residency. Easy in and out. Extreemly helpful staff. Road noise not an issue for us. Hookups convenient and worked well. CATV requires their remote but worked well and numerous channels to choose from. Our site had no satellite due to trees. Not sure many sites in the park have access unless you use a stand alone dish. Lots of space between us and neighbor. Level site. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.

Couldn't even check in, despite 'new management '. Had made reservations with guaranteed long term stay site, had advised office of delayed arrival. In actuality, charged for 'late arrival', and site changed with no given reason. Also was told had to sign 'agreement' that said Campground held NO liability for ANY situation during entire stay WITHOUT exclusions. Had to sign before could go to site. So we drove right back out. Would NEVER stay at Tower Campground again We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.
