A beautiful quiet park on the shores of Barkley Lake with views of the lake and beautiful sunsets! The sites vary in size but there are a couple that can accommodate a medium size rig, and several are on the waterfront. Access roads are very narrow but we did not have a problem in a 35 foot class A towing a Jeep. We were in the area researching family history and it was a great base for that. The campground host was very friendly and helpful, sharing some knowledge of the area. The "town" of Bumpus Mills has one restaurant, a small store, post office, and a number of abandoned buildings. The town of Dover has more services and is also the location of Fort Donelson, the location of the first battle Grant won in the Civil war... well worth a visit. Verizon cell voice service is almost non-existent unless you walk to the edge of the water. Verizon data service is slow even with external antenna and booster. We camped at Bumpus Mills Campground COE in a Motorhome.

The Bumpus Meals diner is wonderful for breakfast and lunch, with great food and service... a real surprise considering the location.

Small, 15 spots, beautiful well laid out campground with large level sites. Lots of trees, also has walking trail across small wooden bridge to swimming area which is not located in campground. We loved our 4 day stay here and will definitely be back! Showers and restrooms were very clean, also has a washer and dryer which was nice. Electric and water only, no sewer hookups. Has an easy access dump station. We camped at Bumpus Mills Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

This is a small COE campground. Very well maintained. Without my GPS I would have never found it. A lot of turns on country roads. I would not recommend for large rigs with a tow vehicle. The campsites are terraced on the hill side; everyone overlooks the lake. Sites are gravel and some leveling of your rig is needed. The gate attendant was exceptionaly helpful. Bathhouse a (10). Washer and Dryer, yes. Sites right on the lake were sunny, but the ones on the hill had some shade. We stayed in 29, partial shade. I would return here when I am traveling through Tennessee. We camped at Bumpus Mills Campground COE in a Motorhome.
