7 RV Parks near Chapel Hill, Tennessee
Apr 2010 - $20.00
This is a quiet out of the way park.. But not quite what I expected. The website made it look like a busy equestrian park.. I expected to see campers with horses.. but there were none. It's a good idea but wasn't working. This place was just okay.. No cable, no over the air tv, no Sat tv because of the overhead trees. If you are going to Columbia, TN I would not stay again as it was to far away. On the web site I should have noticed the following: "Photos are indicative of the area, not necessarily what you will see at the park." and "Large graveled semi-level lots." What the website didn't show is exactly what this place is like. I felt safe in this out of the way park but other than that.. I can't say anything else. - Dom A.
May 2019 - $28.00
We stayed here several night waiting on a grand baby to come. It was a great location for us. Very easy to get to from the interstate. The hosts were very knowledgeable and welcoming.
The website was very accurate in describing the level vs slight incline of the site.
The office staff were great in helping us move reservations around to different sites. This park is very popular, make reservations ahead of time if you want to stay, especially on a weekend!
If you have children, the playground is good in the park and another near their office. Our 2&4 year olds enjoyed the Storybook walk, owl and hawk that they have in a pen.
Only negative, don’t tow your dingy from the office. The roads have some trees near them.
Don’t expect antennae tv or Satellite. - Msu jg
May 2019 - $32.00
Beautiful park with shaded, spacious sites with water and electric. Restrooms were clean. The only complaint was the showers had shower heads that did not move and were against the wall making it difficult to shower. The trails were easy and well marked. They have an Inn and Restaurant across the street from the camping area. Hours of the restaurant were limited during the week - 11-2. We were there before Memorial Day weekend so they may change. The pool was also closed the week before Memorial Day but looked very nice and refreshing. Nashville is about an hour from the park and Jack Daniel's Distillery was about 45 minutes away. - MarcyB
May 2019 - $32.00
We really like Henry Horton. We stay here every year right after school lets out. The camp hosts are always very friendly and approachable! They were super-willing to help out any time. The sites are all very shaded and spacious. Especially 13-25. They are all on asphalt. The bathhouses are very well kept and up to date. The camp store is small but is very well equipped with things a camper may have forgotten...or trinkets a camper might want for fun. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The trails are nice and easy to take. Deer and turkey are everywhere. - Tennessee Teacher Camper
Mar 2018 - $30.00
This is an old campground. A lot of mud. 100% monthly rentals. Open year round. Pool has not worked in years and appears to be no plans to fix it. Quiet. Pretty setting in trees. Unfortunately almost impossible to get a site. Very high demand so looooong waiting list. Sites are spacious. Stayed two months. - traveler7576
Aug 2016 - $30.00
More of a trailer park than a RV resort. Stayed in August and pool was being repaired and had been for months. Water pressure is poor, can't take a shower if your neighbor is. Playground is from the 70's and no entertainment. Not even during Mule Week. Staff was friendly. Neighbors watch every move so nothing will be stolen. - Dyna
May 2016 - $30.00
Wow, this campground has gone through many positive changes this year. Very clean and well maintained grounds. Bathrooms always kept fresh. Only clean, mostly brand new high dollar rigs here. Look forward to seeing this place progress and improve even further. Staff was friendly and had their stuff together. Will be returning soon. - Rv fan
Sep 2019 - $34.00
The space was long enough that you do not have to disconnect your toad but you might want to. Easy to navigate with big rig located just off the Hwy. 30 / 50 amp service, water/ sewer and cable but we used our Satellite. Long level pull through sites. Office staff very friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give them a 10 was lack of fenced dog park and paved roads/ sites. They do have a big area for your pet but not fenced. The roads are gravel but very little dust. The park is exceptional clean and cared for. I would stay here again you should check it out and visit some of the surrounding sites! - JEFFREY V
Sep 2019 - $36.00
Nice long PT site. No food at this exit. Great overnight stop. - Beastmaster
Jul 2019 - $36.00
First time to stay here but for sure not the last. We had a long gravel site that was fairly level. All hook-ups were placed in good locations for us. Cable had a limit amount of channels but we were visiting family anyway. The Wi-Fi was better that most places we stay so very positive. We will return in the near future. - bigdaddy and bigmama
Jul 2019 - $39.00
The drive to the park is interesting. Signage is poor. We camped next to the lake in a pull through. We tried two sites and took the one that was more level. Electric and water good the staff was wonderful. - workcamper64
May 2018 - $38.00
We were able to book a waterfront site at Cedar Point CG on Normandy Lake in TN. The site was indeed on the water with a beautiful view..the lake being only about 75 feet from the camping site. Pluses: 1. All sites we saw are gravel and pull thru of the "swing around to the right" type. 2. New electric pedestals and new looking water spigots 3. Clean & easy access dump station with a nice wash out hose at station, & the station was LOW, making dumping easy and the hose had a cut off valve, making washing up very simple. 4. A bath house was reasonably close to the sites [<100 yds] 5. Very attentive & pleasant staff 6. lots of old shade trees for most of the sites, especially along the waterfront. Minuses: 1. We found 3 fairly large piles of dog poop in our site ,near the picnic table, when we pulled in 2. The quality of the lake water was below par for what we had been led to expect... a lot of red muddy water near shore, even in the roped-off "swimming area" where we found the beach sand about 50% red mud. We elected not to go swimming, tho it was a hot day. 3. The campground bath house had only one toilet [for the mens], and a urinal. My wife said there were two toilets for the ladies. The bath house had only one shower stall for the mens and one for the ladies, which were old and in poor condition. 4. the old showers were the terrible "push button" type which only stayed on for about 30 seconds per push and there was no hot water when we went to shower around 10pm. No exhaust fans, lots of biting bugs and mud on the bathouse floors made using the bathouses a pain. 5. The cost was high..we had to pay $38 for one night..which was $10 more per night than we paid at a FL State Park, with great beaches & amenities. - Fred762
Aug 2019 - $32.00
Friendly staff, clean pool area and play ground. The campground seems to be a majority of permanent campers. The sites are gravel and somewhat level, however, very tight, when your slide is out, close to your neighbor. We chose this campground due to location being close to our travel sports team event. It would not be a destination spot for a week, but we would definitely stay again 1-2 nights should we have another event in Smyrna. - BTR007
Jul 2019 - $68.00
This place was an absolute nightmare. The site was not even close to level. It was so unlevel that even though we chocked our trailer wheels, when the trailer unhooked from our vehicle it rolled forward bending our brand new quick jack. The site also wasn't long enough for our 30ft trailer and tow vehicle. Our neighbor was parked right in front of where our trailer door opened, because they also didn't have enough room. Lots of shirtless old men lounging around. Pet area is not fenced in. Way overpriced and I would never stay here again. - Parents of Malamutes
Jul 2019 - $32.00
Campground looked to be 3/4 permanent residents in run down trailers. While staff was nice enough, site was very small. Also, they dug right next to our site trying to fix a water issue. Definitely not a resort. Might use again if only needed a 1-night stay. - DebGA
