Not pet friendly, should have a no dog policy, the women owner approached me and said she saw our shiatsu, at sunrise, walk out of the RV and pee on her grass instead of walking 75 yards to the dog walk area and that was not acceptable, if we had him properly trained he would have waited. ??. Also she observed me placing the dog poo bag in the REGULAR garbage can, not the 5 gallon pail. It's like your under constant surveillance. 50 amp sites are nowhere near level. Quite a challenge to get it good enough to pull out the slides w/o raising the rear wheels off the ground. Feels you're constantly being watched. Pre paid for 2 weeks, left after 4 days losing $300+. We camped at Ballyhoo Family Campground in a Motorhome.

It is clear that you are new to the camping experience. We love dogs and have 2 of our own. All campgrounds have rules that must be followed. ALL dogs must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. It is a state law. For some reason, you seemed to feel that this did not apply to you. You put up a fence in front of the door of your MH and let your dogs--all 3 of them and your other animals go in front of your MH. The urine smell was overwhelming. When it was explained to you that the dog walk area was just steps from your MH, you went out with your dogs unleashed because you said you didn't see anyone else around. We are constantly on the grounds mowing and cleaning. We keep our facilities clean. Our sites are level pull thru's which are easy to navigate. Best wishes.

Quiet, peaceful park outside Crossville. Make sure that you use exit 322 off I-40 for easiest access. I arrived very late, and the staff stayed up to welcome me in and helped me into my pull-through site. Spacious sites with mature trees for shade. Laundry machines worked well. Staff were very helpful and accomodating. We camped at Ballyhoo Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I stayed here for almost a month. It is a fantastic, quiet park nestled in an area between Cumberland Mountain State Park & the city of Crossville. Very convenient to both. If you're going to the state park & don't want to deal with the state park "hullabaloo", then go just around the to the Family Ballyhoo! We camped at Ballyhoo Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is in a quiet country setting with a pretty lake, forest and open grassy areas. The sites have mature trees and ours was a pretty level pull through with full hookup. The owners are very nice and helpful. There is a mixture of RVs, tents and cabins and some people were fishing in the lake. It was Memorial day weekend, so the park required a three night minimum. The owners had a campground barbeque and provided roast pork, hot dogs and soft serve ice cream. We campers brought side dishes and had a great meal and enjoyed meeting other campers. We camped at Ballyhoo Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

My GPS brought me in from I-40 the long way around. I recommend that you call park for directions. Owners were very pleasant and went out of their way to help with next days routing. Park is very large but had few campers. Lots of open grassy areas, with small lake and forested areas as well. Extremely quiet. Site was fairly level although some leveling was required. Noted that several nearby sites were similar in level. Restrooms were clean and appeared adequate. Showers had a door plus an interior curtain with hooks to hold clothing. We camped at Ballyhoo Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for overnight Aug 2016 while visiting family as we passed through Crossville. GPS took us right there. Easy access off main road. Small but very well maintained park in attractive quiet country setting. Very clean. Sites are gravel and level. We have 34' class A RV towing car. Our pull through site was a little tight getting in but no real trouble. A bit short with the car in tow, but we got in OK. All 3 Slides all opened fine. 50 amp service was reliable. Had nice shade trees. Picnic tables and firepits at each site. Nice people. I would definitely stay there again when in the Crossville area. A little pricey at $34 with Good Sam discount but I won't complain because I'll pay extra for a clean, well cared for facility. Didn't use the restrooms so don't have feedback on them. Nice large grassy area to walk the dogs. Small pretty Lake. Playground. Not an "RV resort" but quiet and comfortable. Would definitely recommend. We camped at Ballyhoo Family Campground in a Motorhome.
