Lack of basic maintenance is starting to show here. Yes, the B and C loop sites have electric but does it work? Be careful, Several sites only had 20 amp or 50 amp. Plus, some did not work at all. Yes, the bathhouses have hot water but how much? Yes, there is a dump station but does it work as well as it was intended to? Plus security was lacking some. I only saw a ranger maybe 1 time in 4 days. This place has went downhill fast. - mudhound

Yet another wonderful visit! We were in site number B9. Our site was VERY level and clean. - mudhound

Great park if you can get one of the sites that has electric. Many of the sites are quite sloped. It was tough to get the camper level. Our site was right across from the bathroom which was convienent. Other than the slope of the sites they are very nice and roomy. Get there early if you want an electric site. We would definitely stay again. - John Borajkiewicz

My parents have a camper in this campground and we visit on a regular basis, this campground is amazing!! If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, restful place to camp this is it! The owners are amazing and friendly and make you feel at home when you are there! There is a great swimming spot which my teenager loves as well as great spots to fish! The sites are great and are great places to sit and enjoy time with family around the fire and enjoy the river! I highly recommend this campground! River road, the road into the campground road is your typical country back road, its narrow, it's barely wide enough for two cars but it is what it is, if your going camping in the backwoods it's what you should expect! But it leads to this amazing campground on the river that is so worth the drive in!! - mousesmom3122

We were thrown out on day 4 of a 7 day stay because our dog was classified as 'barking & menacing' by the owner because she barked when someone passed by, usually kids on the way to the adjacent swing set. The owner will dispute this, saying we left on our own, but after reading a review from a camper who was evicted from the campground on Christmas morning by the sheriff, we decided to leave, with no refund. I don’t know why they placed us--a retired childless couple with a dog--right next to the playground. And it didn't occur to us to ask for another site away from the adjacent playground. And the owner didn’t offer moving as a solution when he approached us on Friday. In fact, we asked him what he would like us to do and his only answer was "It's your dog, you decide", which is why we decided to leave. Not sure why they waited until Friday to announce that the barking was a problem when they had visited our site both Monday and Tuesday (and she barked at them then, too). Beware of the lengthy list of rules here: On day 2 we were told NO lights could be left on if you were away from your site. AND we were told not to use/recycle WalMart grocery bags for our garbage, that we'd have to use purchased trash bags instead. The campground is clean & nicely landscaped. The sites are adequate in size with FHU; none of the sites have picnic tables. There was ongoing construction (new sites being added, trees removed, etc.) 3 of the 4 days we were there - a backhoe went back and forth past our campsite, moving rocks and dragging trees that were being felled. There are 2 baths with showers. The showers are the pull-chain type. There's no opportunity to adjust the preset water temperature. Watch that you don't get locked in the bathrooms...there's a lock on the OUTSIDE of the bathroom door (a block of wood on a screw). And be sure to take a light with you because there are no lights inside or anywhere near the bathrooms. There's good wifi but poor cell phone service. There is a 911-only emergency phone available for use. The campground is located on the Powell River, which is a nice backdrop. There is a narrow, winding back road to get in. Last ½ mile is gravel. This was not a pleasant experience. I can't recommend it and I doubt we'll
return. - Threequeensmom
