Camping is free if you use the Camping World Service Department during your stay. That's the reason for the 'Value' having an Excellent rating in my review. I would not have paid to stay here. Our site was narrow, trees in area and a narrow road made it difficult to enter site. Site was mostly dirt, some gravel and very little grass. Water spigot was not two inches above ground. If I didn't have a 90 degree elbow with me I would not have been able to attach my water hose to the spigot without removing dirt from around the spigot. Water pressure was good, but within an hour of arriving water was turned off for about an hour. Picnic table was very old, weathered, warped and splintered. Campground has cable TV, with SD channels only, channels are weak and 'snowy'. No WiFi in campground, WiFi is available in Camping World store. Parts of campground heavily treed. Our site was not that heavily treed, but our satellite antenna could not 'see' any of the Dish satellites 61, 72, 77, 110, 119 and 129. There are a few sites near the Service area the might get satellite reception . Campground is mostly seasonals, quite a few RVs were dirty and visually in need of repair. Interior roads are paved, but still lots of dust. Pool was closed during our stay with no reason given. Overall campground is clean. We were only here to use the Service Department otherwise we would not stayed here. The old saying 'You get what you pay for' applies here. - ETB

An old park but the price is right. It's used throughout the day by Camping World Sales and their service dept. It quiets down after they all go home at 4:30 p.m. We were here with out 42' 5th wheel so we had to unhook and park the truck off to the side. There is vehicle parking by the pool. The staff all seem very friendly. - JCZ
Oct 2017 - $22.00
Gravel site with cement patio, lots of trees. Full hook-ups. Lots of static/snow on cable. Many sites are used by customers that are there to have service done on their RV and in some cases service was being done in the campground. - MarkandMarty
Sep 2019 - $45.00
Large park with lots of permanent residents, the pull thru was long and the utilities where well placed. Check in was easy as was the short drive off the freeway. The interior roads are one way and narrow but we had no problem coming in or leaving. The park is well located to see Chattanooga where there is plenty to see. We would return if in the area. - sjones
Aug 2019 - $41.00
A very nice park if you are looking to stay in Chattanooga. Nice grounds with a nice pool. Friendly staff, and they even gave us a refund when we had to leave a day early. Sites were gravel and long enough to park our Motorhome and tow vehicle. - Moo1966
Aug 2019 - $51.00
Stayed for three nights while in the area. Staff very helpful and friendly. They charge a bit more than other places in the area plus an $3 for each person over 2. There are some permanent folks, but in expensive rigs. Very clean and worth the extra money. - Ugly SAM
Aug 2019 - $50.00
This is a very nice and quickly accessible campground from I-24. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The dog park was awesome too! The cave by the campground was pretty neat. - The Egners
Aug 2019 - $43.00
DO NOT book this place for just one night, fantastic with so much to do cannot see and do everything in a few short hours. A bit difficult to find but large bill boards will get you here and this place is well worth the effort. Office staff could not do enough for me, escort to site. Gravel site pull thru no need to unhook but you will need your car, lots of grass and very wide, concrete patio with table, fire ring and near level. Trash pick up twice a day at your site, propane available. Large "Bark Park" all grass and water. Wonderful hiking trails, panning for crystals, cave and cavern tours, work-out room (small but you can work up a sweat), basketball court, large pool and that is just on property. - Tahoetom
Jul 2019 - $62.00
Explore the caverns. Quiet at night. - DebGA
Dec 2017 - $28.00
Some of the interior roads are not big rig friendly. Last year we drove through 1 of the areas on the island that were pull through...they must only be for small campers and tents. We had to remove our ladder to squeeze past a tree. This time we knew where to go! Right on the lake, quiet & peaceful in the winter. We only saw 1 other camper in the area. The rest seem to gravitate towards the area by the entrance. Nice big playgrounds. Con is there's no sewer and some spots are uneven. - Ontheroamagain
Nov 2017 - $30.00
PROS: Beautiful lake. CONS: Excessive slope. High-crime? - Not friendly. Huge park. Not one park employee or camper said "hello". Glass window and cop car at entrance made it seem like a high-crime area. - Website said site 183 could accommodate a 57 foot motorhome. The site could barely handle a pop-up trailer. Our motorhome is 34 feet. Utilities too far away; had to extend our electric cable. - Excessive slope. We could have broken our necks getting out of the rig. - Website should be updated to show which sites are sloped before laying out 100+ dollars. - tdrager
Oct 2017 - $30.00
Great campground with numerous lakefront campsites! Pros - level sites, fishing, water activities, great scenery Cons - Not full hookup, A bit crowded and close sites, checkout is noon. - RandyP
May 2019 - $35.00
Clean campground with four large camping areas. We stayed in Area C in site #19 and our site was nearly level. We walked or drive though the other three camping areas just to see those conditions. Most sites are small to medium in size and most are close together and some looked difficult to access. We noticed a number of sites that were not very level and watched some campers work hard to get their rigs set-up. No sewer service but there is a dump station near the camp office. - CroweTravels
May 2019 - $20.00
Harrison Bay SP has 4 camping areas. We were in section C. Our site was somewhat level, with shade and on the corner so not too close to our neighbor. Some sites were very close to each other. Our site was on the entrance to the loop near the main road so during the weekend there was quite a bit of traffic going down to the lake. It appeared all campsites are walking distance to the lake. The lakeside sites in section C are very nice but there are only 5 of them. The pool will open Memorial Day weekend and is large with also has a kiddie pool. There are 3 hiking trails, two under a mile and a 4.5 mile lake trail. We found many ticks on the dog after the hike so beware. Area C has 4 private bathrooms for 40 campers. The shower heads in the shower do not move so they are very close to the wall. Bathrooms were clean even on a busy weekend. TV reception was good and we got many stations and complimentary WiFi was a plus. - MarcyB
Jan 2019 - $35.00
Use to be a great park until they decided to redo campsites and making them less attractive and the restrooms are designed without thinking about campers. The restrooms are designed where an individual shower and commode are together and and that they are only six restrooms available for a section that has 40 sites so their is going to what to a wait especially is people are taking showers. - Halloweenguy

Next to I-75, so if placed in monthly rental section, traffic noise is terrible. Didn't sleep at all due to very busy interstate noise all night. Sites gravel. Not level. Did not use facilities so can't comment on those. No longer a Good Sam campground. Very convenient to restaurants and Chickamauga battlefield. Many apparently long term guests but that was not a problem for us. - otternebr
Sep 2018 - $35.00
Okay for an overnight stay as it is convenient off the interstate. Campground has a lot of full time campers which makes the place look trashy. Had a light that shined in camper all night. Absolutely no hot water in showers and complained twice about it. - Mri7853
Jun 2018 - $36.00
Let me start by saying we didn't spend the night here. We stopped for a quick overnight and as soon as we pulled into our spot the power went out. Nothing anybody could control, but we all knew it wasn't going to be fixed at 7:00 on a Saturday night. They quickly refunded us our money (why stay if we didn't have power) and we were on our way. Pool looked great and campground seemed nice. - RebaDee
Oct 2015 - $40.00
We had a water site and it was not worth the $40.00 it cost . As stated before, water is a scum pond. Lots of noise in morning. A lot of long-term sites. - This Old Man
Oct 2015 - $31.00
Not sure if I should even give this park a 3. Lots of long termers that live full time. If you want to sleep in, forget it - there's motorcycles and loud trucks leaving early in the a.m. There is NO cable unless you want to make a $100 deposit for the box. And you don't pick up anything over the air.
By the time we realized the paper the office gave us didn't have a WiFi code on it, was too late for us to go to the office and ask. Couldn't call as there is NO cell signal in the park.
The restaurant is only open on Saturday nights.
This part of the lake needs attention. Green algae way out in to the water.
The putt putt course had caution tape all around it. The pool was closed. The roads are not in good shape. No picnic tables at the sites. Odd layouts for hookups. You could tell at one time this park could have been a destination with lots to do, but it's worn and thread bare now.
Be very careful driving in and leaving as the road is basically single lane with ditches right on the edge.
Why did we stay here? The park where we wanted to stay was full, and we needed to be in the area. We would not stay here again - if we needed to be in the area & could not get our preferred park, we'd stay farther away & drive more. - 3catstravel
Jul 2012 - $30.00
RV Park is set back away from traffic, very very quiet, sites are spacious, cable with zillion channels, long termers are nice, water front sites are for overnites in summer, but river view still there for other sites inside rows. Staff are excellent, Joy in particular!! Pool is nice, marinas on the river, with boat rentals and cabin rentals. I had a problem with a work contract there in Chatanooga and the manager was gracious enough to give me a refund, they didn't have to do that, but they did. Sure the geese are around but all you have to do is hose down your site, they stay on the river and come ashore to walk around. Some of the sites don't yet have the new cable connections in but the staff are in the process of completing this. All in all its a great place with mountains on each side of the marina, so cell coverage is scanty, but I had no problem with their WIFI and I was pretty far back, its an issue they try to work on constantly. I definitely will try to come back just to relax!! - Ms Mary

The Pros: Pet friendly, wi-fi available, great view, peaceful. The Cons: No bathroom or shower facilities any closer than the 1/4 to a 1/2 a mile walk from camping area, no public telephone, no food, beverages, or ice at location, must drive 8 miles for anything. No cable or satellite access. Management is very unprofessional (a woman running around half dressed). I was there for Valentines Day, and any respectable persons do not care for such behavior. Most residents or visitors were men, so we guessed its acceptable to most there. This park is geared for hang gliders only apparently, at least now. We were there several years ago and it had different management, public restrooms, showers, public phone, and served food at campsite area via a concessions unit. It was obvious to us they neither cared or wanted private individuals in their park. It appeared the park has many permanent residents in it, hang gliders we assumed. - Jerry & John
Jan 2007 - $69.00
A very clean, and well cared for facility! Staff was courteous, helpful and responsive. The park is nestled at the base of Lookout Mountain in a delightful rural setting. It is located next to hang gliding landing field and caters primarily to those who come for hang gliding but all are welcome. Chattanooga is an easy drive with many activities available in the area. It was fascinating watching the hang gliders being towed up for their flights or watching them glide gracefully to the ground. All the people we met during our stay were warm and friendly. I strongly recommend you consider staying at this safe and family oriented facility. - Rowbear
Aug 2019 - $30.00
Love, love their new Bathrooms. Ya go in & lock the door - All by yourself - shower, sink, toilet - perfect !! We stayed here in 2015 & as the years go by it gets better & better. The pool is so inviting. If ya didn't bring a swimsuit - believe me you'll go buy one. We stayed in site #13- close to special patio sites, a little crowded (If they had been rented) next time we will chose one of the sites on the wooded side .. #22 or 20. - MobileMurphy
Aug 2019 - $58.00
Secluded site, quiet, friendly staff, ample camp store for supplies. All you really need. Only downside was wi-fi and cable were weak. - Chris Desselles
Aug 2019 - $62.00
A nicely wooded campground with very tall trees. Sites, unfortunately, are pretty close together. Site 39 has a significant downward incline once you are parked. I had to put pads under my front wheels to somewhat level. Internet was surprisingly fast. You could hear occasionally hear trucks on the interstate. I would return. - RVStudent
Aug 2019 - $45.00
One of the nicest KOA we have visited. Sites are nicely graveled and mostly level. Water pressure was good. Electricity steady. Road traffic behind our site slowed dramatically after 10 pm. Good spacing between sites. Pizza delivery to the office or pavilion by the pool. Giant boulders mark the ends of sites and roadways. Pool was squeaky clean and just he right temperature for a refreshing dip. Lovely pool area. Definitely put this one on our "return to " list! Only downfall was a HUGE bump when exiting the campground. Teeth-jarring for sure. - DebbieT in Alabama
Jul 2019 - $44.00
This was an overnight stay. The road to the campground and the roads within the campground were curvy. The campground had some rocks for ornamentation that made it necessary to pay particular attention when driving through. Oddly, the rules said "no laundry allowed" because of their septic system but they had a laundry room. Not sure why an RV washer would be worse? Overall, the campground was quiet and peaceful in a wooded setting. We would stay again. - lce3
Mar 2019 - $40.00
Very convenient stop off of I-75 north of Chattanooga. Well maintained grounds; clean facilities. Fair number of pull-through sites. Mix of full hook-up, E/W, and E-only sites. Cable TV, dog park, laundry room, Lp-fill station, pool, etc. much appreciated amenities. Definitely bring leveling blocks, as some of the spots are more challenging than others. Dump station is in an odd location in one of the camping loops that could be hard for a large rig to turn into. - aowcarol
