We stayed here while touring Nashville. We couldn’t plan our trip too far ahead due to medical reasons and Grand Ole was very accommodating to us. The park is very clean and well maintained. The sites are relatively close to each other and somewhat level. There is a train right behind the park that you will hear both day and night. People are friendly and music is played on the patio nightly. It’s about a 20 minute drive to downtown Nashville. We’d stay here again as this is a good base to operate from. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ok no frills place to stay if visiting Nashville, 12 miles/30 min to downtown. Gravel roads and sites with some grass and a few trees. Positives - sites level with plastic picnic table, staff real nice and help you park rig, on site small restaurant offering limited breakfast lunch and dinner options, have live music each night. Negatives - most sites are crammed together in odd ways with little or no privacy, WiFi did not work at all, no cable, no pool, no patio, no fire ring, park next to a busy road and train track so lots of outside noise(did not notice in RV). My pull in faced the back of an RV, site was spacious and long enough for my 45 ft MH but had to park my tow in the grass, had to use me extension to get to power pole and a tree blocked access to satellite. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Staff at this Park were the friendliest and most helpful people we have come across. When we had an emergency situation and needed a site for a week at the last minute, they were the only park in the Nashville area that would even talk to us about working something out. Park has live music every night, they serve a different dinner meal every night and have breakfast available 7 days a week .... all at a great price and of excellent quality! Hook ups are all well located, good clean electrical, good water pressure and free WiFi. This is the place to stay if you are visiting the Nashville area! We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Tracks with frequent freight trains on west side and a busy hwy 41 on the east makes for a noisier park than most. All the gravel pads and patios were in good shape and recently refreshed. The park is a mixed bag of site widths and lengths. It's hard to get a feel for them from the online site map and many of the perimeter sites were quite close. The site we had was an easy back-in with parking across the front but very close to neighbors at the rear and off-door side. We were warmly greeted and efficiently checked in. The office also serves as the restaurant, camp store and sometime music venue. Water pressure very good at 40+ psi, 50a electric good, sewer port convenient. AT&T phone and data services were 4 bar good. 30+ OTA channels received. WiFi was okay for light duty use and would slow down regularly. We would stay again. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Johnny Cash/June Carter Cash are buried in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visiting the gravesite and the burned out remains of their home on Old Hickory Lake was a must. Genl. Daniel Smith, who surveyed and named Tennessee, built the Historic Rock Castle plantation. Its legacy dates back to the end of the American Revolution. The mansion tour is very interesting. Whet your whistle with a pint at Half Batch Brewing to end the day.

We arrived March 1st and stayed till April 15, 2019. Love the family who owns this park. It is run by family members who are so very helpful and go out of their way to help in any way. You can eat your dinner at their place, they have nightly or weekly entertainment. Clean showers as well as the laundry room. We had a back in space and spots are kind of close together but everyone gets along really well. A quiet place and an awesome place to stay. Only 20 minutes away from Nashville!! We love this park; it is the best!! We pay monthly rate. Awesome place to stay. This was our second year of staying here to visit with our son and family for the winter. Trains run through the outer part of the park but you get used to the sound. We will visit there for monthly stays again in 2020!! We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a difficult review to write because one bad experience colors my recommendation for this park. This park is one of the best options to park an RV around Nashville because it is away from the busy Opry area (a plus for us, but maybe not for others), a 20-minute drive from downtown and reasonably-priced. The sites are decent sized and the office staff is helpful. There is some road and train noise but we didn't find it to be very noticeable. The reason I can't recommend this park is due to the danger of flooding. A violent rainstorm came up around ten PM last week. We were riding it out when we started seeing water sheeting across the ground. The water rose fairly quickly and we started seeing RVs pulling out of their spaces and leaving. No one had informed us that the park is in a dangerous flash flood zone and no one from park management came around to warn us the creek behind the park was overflowing its banks. We weren't sure what to do, but eventually realized that the water was going to keep rising. Luckily we were able to get out before the water caused any damage to our trailer, but our truck sustained water damage that will be a major insurance claim. We have since learned that several vehicles and RVs were destroyed by a major flood here in 2017. Unless the flood risk is addressed, I can't recommend this park. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here while attending a wedding in Nashville. This is an older somewhat refurbished campground. Owners extremely helpful is setting up and answering any questions you may have. Probably the best thing about the campground is the nightly entertainment, music, which is presented free of charge. The main downside is the crowded sites and water connection being underground. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A nice RV park about 15-20 minutes north of the City. About a $20 Uber/Lyft ride which we used as our main method of accessing the city, especially Broadway. Very friendly staff. Good breakfasts and dinners. Music every night. Sites were a little close but no too bad. Originally had #79 and could not get DirecTV because of the tree beside the site. They moved us to 27. Internet at both was poor. "Cannot Connect to this network", "incorrect password" when reconnecting, No internet most of the times. Maybe for a half hour or so very early, but would then get kicked off. Talked to the staff about it. Normal responses that it was being worked on or someone was coming to check it or "when everyone gets on it is difficult to connect to". They need to fire their wifi company! We had no problems for 3 weeks before this and 2 weeks after. Oh, and a tree limb fell out of a tree beside us in #27. Luckily it hit our roof mount bike rack and fell right beside the care. Pieces of old dead tree limb all over, but no damage we could see so far. Had hoped they would be more sympathetic about this. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Uber/Lyft worked great so did not need to worry abut parking (or drinking). Also, if we want to walk quite a bit did not have to worry about getting back to where we parked. Franklin, just about 45 min south is a fun shopping town and had the Franklin Battlefield, Cantron Mansion and the Carter House. Broadway was a hoot!

Really a large travelled parking lot. Very helpful and friendly staff. Sites crammed together and bordered by a railroad and a noisy road. Reasonably priced for being so close to a major city but atmosphere much like a Walmart lot with showers. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great park, clean & well maintained. Close to Nashville for a day trip. Good food at Cafe and live music. Very poor wifi and had trouble with sewer backing up. Sewer backed up when draining tanks. Be careful and slow the flow. Recommend Tony Cochran's Nashville area tour. He has many stories from when he worked security for the celebrities, like Elvis's secret door into studio B and Dolly Pardon's wall she backed into with her car. This is a no frills RV Park but we had a lot of fun while there. The staff was wonderful and so friendly. They have a live band that plays there most nights. They also serve dinner there every night. It is only about 15 minutes from Nashville which is great. It like being in the country. We had a pull through which was easy to hook up our car from our site. Some of the sites looked to be crowded but others were a little larger. The rates are so much better than if we had stayed right in Nashville. We definitely would stay here again if in the area. Really nice basic park outside of Nashville on the North side. Convenient if you're driving thru I-65 or even like us coming from Illinois. Very friendly staff, helpful, and easy going. Great Verizon signal and OTA channels. Gravel and grass sites but very tidy and big rig friendly. Local music each night. Good value and easy onto I-65 to go North or South. Easy in and out of the park, GPS directions on the phone were good. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
