Beautiful grounds with a mix of wooded areas and open fields. Arrive during daylight. Use toad to select/find a site before bringing in RV. Lots of narrow winding roads. We camped at Natchez Trace Thousand Trails NACO in a Motorhome.

The roads in the park are in bad shape with broken pavement and holes. The common areas are nice put the sites need grass cutting. We had a full hook up pull through site. The sewer was raised above ground (6 in) so had to make a bridge so we were not dumping up hill. Now the good part. The staff were very nice and check in was fast. You find the spot you like then tell office were you are. My ATT service was good enough for phone and internet. This is a very large quite park with a lot of seasonal campers who have taken all the spots around a very pretty lake. The pool was not open but the staff were working to get it ready. We camped at Natchez Trace Thousand Trails NACO in a Motorhome.

First of all the grounds have really been improved around this campground vs last year. The only caveat is the lake beach. It needs raked daily to get rid of goose poop. I've never seen it raked. The activity staff is great! The front gate staff is ok and the rangers I have encountered are awful and mean. This is not a prison camp but it seems that is the rangers want to treat you. Haven't they heard about hospitality? One more final word- the number of yearly residents are taking the prime locations and are adding dock, awnings, patios, decks and storage buildings are not becoming of a recreational campground. We camped at Natchez Trace Thousand Trails NACO in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for four nights. We were very impressed pulling into resort but soon our outlook changed. Front of resort is very nicely paved and landscaped but the back part of campground needs new pavement. Had trouble navigating some of the roads. There is a really tight turn coming into Phase 2. This area needs campsite repairs and upgrading to more full hookups and 50 amp service. Campground was very quiet and cell coverage for AT&T was very weak. Will not stay here in the future even though we are Thousand Trails members. We camped at Natchez Trace Thousand Trails NACO in a Motorhome.

What a wonderful surprise this was! We were surprised it was here and that we could even get in over the Memorial Day Weekend (and with short notice too). We got a great "beach site" with full hook-ups. The price averages out the weekday & weekend (28/32). They had all kinds of activities for the holiday and the staff couldn't have been nicer. We aren't members, so it's open to the public. Huge park and right off the Trace. No TV reception where we were (hard to say about other areas tho) and WiFi & cell service was sporadic, but this place is worth the inconveniences. We camped at Natchez Trace Thousand Trails NACO in a Motorhome.

Stayed with the Oliver Rally with about 35 other trailer owners. Found the whole grounds needed some TLC. Showers were ok, but not convenient to use. My water spicket at campsite leaked badly. Electric was hard to reach because of too far back from camp slip so had to move trailer closer to electric post on #15A. We got a large group discount of 20% supposedly, but the office could never figure out my true price. Paid $54 then $20+ for a third day, then $5.73 when I entered the campground even though my paper said Refund! Then they wanted $5.71 more to complete my 3 night package including taxes. I didn't ever pay the last one as the new gal on duty had not been left any notes. I spent too much time in the office trying to satisfy them. This campground is owned by a corporation (Thousand Trails) with headquarters in Chicago. Roads have been repaired somewhat, need more work. Not too bad. It rained the first night and day we were there adding to the inconvenience. My main point is camping should be a straight forward affair. Reserve, pay, camp, leave. Don't waste my time and give me my money's worth. This campground wasted my time and even though we had a good time it was because of the Oliver Travel Trailer Company, not the campgrounds. I'm pretty new camper, but asked some professional and expert campers and found they agreed that the campground on a 10 scale was a 2 or 3, very poor comparatively speaking. Sure the absence of local TV and lack of Wi-Fi added to it's being out of touch with the modern camper. I loved the hills and hollers and the campground employees were very nice. This campground has great potential. Hope it works out for them. We camped at Natchez Trace Thousand Trails NACO in a Travel Trailer.

Large park (800+ acres) must be great in season. Few pull thru's. Temps (this was January) hit 10 over night. Too far from interstates for short stay. Stayed 6 nights. Town of Hohenwald 30 minutes. No cable, no air TV, no Wi-Fi. Our own MiFi had 1 bar, and sloooow. You are in the deep woods here. We camped at Natchez Trace Thousand Trails NACO in a Motorhome.

Large TT RV resort with paved roads and gravel, grass sites with concrete patio and table. More of a campground than a RV park. Wilderness is the correct title. No cell service, no cable tv, wi fi only at rec center, 10 miles to small town and hr to super w-mart. Both w & e and fhu sites but only 30 amps. Both shade and open sites. Very large park with different sections quarter mile apart and half mile from pool and boat ramp. Access to lake partially limited by private RV sites. No cell service and no cable TV. Nice pool and several playgrounds and swimming beach. Nice small store at park. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice for a family weekend but too isolated for us, will not return. I stayed in a "deluxe"cabin for 3 weeks while I had some repairs done, then a week in a regular RV site. The location is just beautiful -- rolling hills, lush and green, picturesque farms. The park itself is large and sprawling, well-maintained except for the potholed roads, which are clearly a challenge to deal with due to the hilly terrain. Hopefully ELS will give them what they need to do a complete resurface. The ranger was super pleasant and helpful.
The little store/cafe isn't very well-stocked -- no basics like milk, eggs, juice, etc (the nearest grocery store is 20+ minutes away). The cafe menu is also very basic and doesn't include fresh fruit or salad. But the staff was very nice.
WiFi in my site near the clubhouse was surprisingly good, but in general phone/hotspot reception is poor. We

We were pleasantly surprised by this park after reading reviews on other sites. We enjoyed our stay with full hook up service even though it was 30amp only. You drive around, pick your site then notify staff. We stayed off season and while most of the outer loop are annuals, most were not there until the weekend. Bathrooms were clean & well managed. Sites are large gravel pads with concrete patio, spacious & easy to back into. The pool is very nice, but was closed for season. The beach/rec area looked amazing & well maintained. Good Wifi if you park near restrooms or townhall. Rec Room (Town Hall) has free pool table, air hockey, ping pong, & indoor bowling as well as a fitness center with locker rooms with showers and 2 racquetball courts. The arts director, Karen, is AMAZING!! She is the GREATEST art lady we've had yet at a TT park. The whole ranger staff were friendly and very helpful. There is plenty to explore in this area since it is in the middle of the Natchez Trace Parkway and just minutes away from the Meriwether Lewis Monument. We stayed for 2 weeks in a Fifth Wheel with 2 kids.
**As mentioned in the other review there is a VERY LOW (11') bridge to drive under less than a mile from the entrance. However, they have dug out 5-6 feet of ground off the left side of road under the bridge for RV's to pass safely under. It looks deceiving but at 13'4" we made it with ample clearance above our A/C units. We

I had a pull thru site (one of four) with full hook up, 30amp. No complaints of the site. Staff is very friendly. The roads are blacktopped with so many patches it's long overdue for a resurfacing. Three sides of this park is surrounded by water and like any other park this is where the permanent campers park.
There was a lot of sites I wouldn't of liked. The amenities are old and worn. The bridge coming in is still 11ft clearance with a area dug out on the east side of the road to 13ft. There is nothing to see or do nearby.
If you want or need anything, bring it with you. It is quite at night. We

We stayed here during the Father's Day Weekend and as most reviews have stated the park is in need of some serious repair. With all the "annuals" living there it looks more like a mobile home park than a campground. We stayed in site 182b which was a large corner lot. But across the road from us was, as some Google reviews have stated, the "Strickland Hee Haw Gang" About 90% of the campsites on one of the roads is occupied by a member of the Strickland family and with the "home base" being the corner lot across from our site we got to enjoy constant, endless, never ending golf carts back and forth and forth and back. I am serious when I thought I was back in my suburban neighborhood. The folks were nice enough but gimme a break. There is no chance for a camper to get a lakeside lot as they are all occupied by annuals. The trading post is sparsely stocked with not the most friendly of staff. The rest of the staff seemed very friendly. The big draw for us was the really nice pool which we spent at least 8 hours in during the weekend due to our five year old. But the parks infrastructure is substandard at best. The recreation hall is aged in need of some serious upkeep. The roads are navigable but strewn with potholes and some of the sites are downright scary to back into due to erosion. Now don't get me wrong, our stay was pleasant, minus the golfcart 500 which began around 0800 and ended around 2200, and we would more than likely stay again. You definitely feel like an outsider though with all the annuals but we were not there for them. The surrounding area is awesome and offers tons of exploration due to the Natchez Trace Parkway. Our fee for our stay was zero based on Thousand Trails Membership. We camped at Natchez Trace Thousand Trails NACO in a Travel Trailer.

Typical Thousand Trails park. Run down roads barely paved, most sites are not full hook up, lots of annuals with most full hookups including 50 amp service. Most sites are 30 amp with no sewer hook ups--water only. We changed our reservation from 4 nights to 2 nights. Could be a nice park, but needs more attention and better management. Rate reflects Thousand Trails member rate. IMPORTANT: as noted in other reviews, you need to be very careful getting to the campground from the NT Parkway as we saw 2 folks have issues - when you get off the parkway there is an 11 foot overpass that has many RV roof marks on it... It is super simple to avoid though as just to the left is a dirt "bypass" with 13 foot+ clearance. The campground itself is a typical NACO park in that everything is rustic and spread out. The roads are worn-but-paved. There are nice facilities including a pool and mini-golf that has been refurbished, tennis courts (too worn to use), camp store, and other facilities. Also there’s a nice facility called the “Town Hall” which is where a lot of activities happen. Many of the campsites are unsuitable for large rigs but we did not have an issue as it was not very full. We camped at Natchez Trace Thousand Trails NACO in a Motorhome.
