We stayed for 10 days. We have stayed here numerous times over that last 3 years. Some of our stays were for as much as 3 months at a time. Great campground the new owners as well as the old ones are all great to work with and very friendly. This is the place to stay when visiting the area. - Dana61704

Small but very nice campground. Owners live onsite and were very helpful and accommadating. We booked in Dec under the previous owner who never passed on our reservation to the new owner. Luckily he had room and honored the booking. Site was level and well maintained. Services worked great, wifi and cable included. Very little shade but it was cooler during the day so no problem. Close to main road but very little road noise. Would stay again. Only issue could be the roads coming in and out, kind of narrow. - John Borajkiewicz

This is a really well run campground, very tidy. Best WiFi connection I've seen at a campground. The owner met us even though it was 8:30pm and led us to our site. Very easy to work with, everything in good shape. Would definitely stay here again. I will say the back in sites were a little tight for our 30' trailer and full length truck. - joshjack

As far as an RV park, the facility is not that great, actually probably the worst I've visited. Many if not most of the hookups are on the wrong side of the sites (as is the dump station). One site I looked at had the water hookup at least 30' from the gravel pad, on the opposite side of the picnic area. Many sites are extremely small and extremely slanted. I have a very small (16') camper, and I still don't think I could have leveled it on some of these sites without lifting both tires off the ground. Fortunately it was very cold when I was there, so I had the place to myself and was able to pick the best site. All that being said, there's a lot to recommend this park. The bathhouse was clean and well-maintained. The campground is on a hilltop, with pretty nice views if sparse shade. The lake and cabin area are a short walk from the campground. There's an unusual, interesting bat tower and playground inside main campground loop. Trail access from the campground is excellent, and the trail system is outstanding. If I were rating the park exclusive of the campground, I'd give it a 9 or 10. - Groenlo

We took a 32' Motorhome and found a couple of sites we could use. However, they recommend no more than 25'. This park has hiking trails that are beautiful and a nice pool, within walking distance. The park people are very helpful. - morrison

We got to campground for a 3 day stay. The road going to the campground from Oneida was interesting to say the least. It wasn't hard, but extreme curves and steep up/down hills. That being said, the campground was worth it in my opinion. Upon arrival and check-in at the ranger station gate, he gave us layout of campground and told us about visitor center across the road. It has multiple loops. It is a fairly good size campground that a larger rv/camper could maneuver in.Loop A is tents(no elect/water on sites),Loop B-D is rv/tents (elect/water), and Loop E is group camping only. We stayed in Loop C 13, which we liked a lot. Honestly, we didn't see any sites that were bad. Most sites were shaded fairly well and a decent amount of room from one another. The sites that were shorter in length had wider concrete pads so you park vehicle next to camper, unlike longer sites that you could park vehicle in front of camper. The wash houses were clean and well maintained, but a little older. There was one sewage dump station on site and was easy to use. They had a seasonal pool, volleyball court, and numerous playgrounds throughout the campground. If you are into hiking and/or horseback riding this campground is for you. They had stables across the street with a camp store also, but the store is only opened certain days of week. We hiked every day we were there and never came close to hiking all trails around it..Overall, We will would stay there again and plan too. - kycamper02
Aug 2018 - $13.00
Excellent park for both tents (loop A) and RV's (loops B-D). Swimming pool in park, but we did not use. Mostly covered forest, but some sites get more sun than others. We had some direct sun in the afternoon. The park visitor center is close with a very small camp store nearby, too. They have ice and soft drinks, but not much else. Huge motorhomes may be challenged getting to the campground from the east (hairpin turns), but from the west should be no problem. Beautiful natural area with lots of trails (arches, view of Angel Falls) and access to the Big Fork River at the Leatherwood Ford area for swimming and kayaking. Stairs and wooden walkways have been installed for walking close to the river. - bmiller-photo
Nov 2017 - $11.00
Peaceful and quiet park, electric/water only (some 50A), direct access to hiking trails and short drive to many more. We stayed in sight B11 and were able to lock on to satellite from our rooftop system from this site.
Park entry is from Leatherwood Rd and I cannot stress strongly enough that big rigs should approach along a west to east route from Jamestown. Do not attempt to take the route from Oneida to the campground unless you just want to test your skills on off camber switchbacks with close rock outcroppings. I am not saying it can't be done as I am sure many frequent users know the proper line to take to navigate it. If you are visiting for the first time in a 40 foot plus rig arriving at dusk in the rain, heed my advice.
We stayed a week and had one of the three loops to ourselves. I am not a horse person, but this place is set up well for that. We bought firewood from the park's self-serve near horse barn #4. The leaves were changing the first week of November and it was a beautiful place. Recommend to wear bright colors if hiking this time of year as hunters are in the woods. - Gpndavid

Obey is located on Dale Hollow Lake only minutes south of Byrdstown TN on Tennessee Highway 111. All interior roads are paved, some sites are paved (19), all have picnic table and fire pit. 86 sites have water and electric. There is a dump station but some maneuvering is required.
We stayed in site 73 which was a pull in. It is directly on the lake with a great view next to the boat ramp . I would bet the ramp is busy during the summer. The grass needed mowing and our fire pit wasn't clean. Not the usual COE maintenance we have experienced. - Tom and Patty

This out-of-the-way park has a rustic charm and lots of trees. Campsites are close, but the park is small enough that you don't feel like you're in a crowd. Best part of the park was the host, who was more than amenable. He and others made sure my rig was level and situated to my liking. I'm a woman traveling alone, and the host checked in on me in a way that made me feel comfortable and secure. The surrounding area is beautiful, and I wish I could have stayed longer. Good wi-fi, too. - OmakMary
May 2015 - $27.00
It was peaceful and away from all hustle and bustle. We had full hookups, clean water and a level space. The owners were very friendly and helpful. In fact, I ran out of propane in both of my tanks and the park owner took my tanks to town with him, had them filled, and when I returned to my RV, he had them both hooked up for me. I would recommend this place, in spite of it being 26 miles from where I had to do some business in Cookeville. - Don Self

One of the best kept secrets in Allons, TN! The hosts are wonderful! Why, one night the weather dropped to 50 degrees, and one of the owners asked if we needed blankets. The other owner helped my son perfect is badminton stroke while we relaxed during the evening. The trout farm is only 200 feet from the campground. Dale Hallow Lake Dam is 15 min. and Lilly Lake is onlly 20 min. from campground site. Price is quite a bargain, and it is away from all major traffic. Great family spot with a pavilion that houses many family games to play at night. - Mscamperreview

Jun 2018 - $27.00
My daughter and I stayed here for two nights for a mother-daughter weekend. We loved this campground. The roads right before you get to the campground contain some very tight turns and are narrow, so make sure to take your time! Once there, though, we just loved this campground. We were within a quick walk to the beach area and did lots of swimming (make sure to wear water shoes, the ground under the water was very rocky and not great for bare feet), and we did visit the bathrooms a few times and they were clean and nice. The showers, though we didn't use them, looked very nice! Our spot was roomy and easy to back into. We had water and electric hookups at our campsite and there was a dump station at the campground that we used. The hosts were super friendly as well! We had a great time at this campground! - The Glamper Campers
Jun 2009 - $12.00
We had a beautiful waterfront site, with water & electric, as many are. The bathrooms & showers were clean & funtional. The roads into this out of the way park, are an experience in themselves, but no problem if you take your time, many hairpin curves, just watch out for the Crazy garbage truck driver, who nearly took us out on one of the 15 mph turns at over 50. This park should be rated at 10, but because the folks that have the current contract aren't real big on grounds maintenance, grass hasn't been mowed for at least 3-4 weeks, great for ticks & chiggers, also don't seem to be up on rules enforcement, as we observed teenagers swimming in unautorized areas, dogs not only Not on a 6 ft. leash, (one was on a 20ft leash), but also watched the attendant drive by one man with his dog not on a leash at all, and just wave at him. - bukhrn
