Oct 2018 - $1.00
Beautiful grounds with a mix of wooded areas and open fields. Arrive during daylight. Use toad to select/find a site before bringing in RV. Lots of narrow winding roads. - Todd Fogelberg
Oct 2018 - $1.00
We had a beautiful waterfront 50 amp site. Quiet and clean. Toured historic sites in nearby Franklin. - SusanMG
May 2018 - $1.00
The roads in the park are in bad shape with broken pavement and holes. The common areas are nice put the sites need grass cutting. We had a full hook up pull through site. The sewer was raised above ground (6 in) so had to make a bridge so we were not dumping up hill. Now the good part. The staff were very nice and check in was fast. You find the spot you like then tell office were you are. My ATT service was good enough for phone and internet. This is a very large quite park with a lot of seasonal campers who have taken all the spots around a very pretty lake. The pool was not open but the staff were working to get it ready. - roaming around

Dec 2012 - $15.00
Nice park, nice owners, propane on site. Sites are spacious. Slow WiFi, and on weekends it get loud because of the tavern across the street from the campground. Not the owners fault. - bailmanFTRV
Jun 2012 - $20.00
Sites were gravel and mostly flat. Most of those there were seasonal it seemed. This campground is 22 miles from I-65 which we did not expect. And of course 22 miles back to the interstate. You have to use the Highway 64 address for your GPS. Minimal shade. We would not stay here again as it is too far off our I-65 route. - Sunne
May 2012 - $14.00
Passport rate for one night in a travel trailer. Would stay again, pull throughs, quiet, hookups readily available. I did have trouble finding it, my GPS didn't cooperate, so I called for directions. I left this review as it's been awhile since someone left one. - knhllh

Good clean area. It was raining a lot at our stay. It was level pad and good OTA reception. - gmccullers
Oct 2017 - $25.00
There are two campgrounds in this park. Campground 1 was closed during our visit. We stayed in Campground 2, which is about a mile into the park. The sites are heavily tree covered. We were lucky to find a very small hole in the cover for our portable dish to get satellite for DirectTV. The most notable thing about the campground is that almost all of the sites are very sloped. We were fortunate to get a site where we were able to level. Many RVs were not able to level in their sites. The sites are also narrow with crumbling asphalt pavement. There is decent spacing between sites, but no vegetation for visual privacy. The campground was full on the weekend, but it was pretty calm and quiet at night. Strange, even though it showed two to three bar Verizon, the speed for data was very, very slow. It came up a bit with our booster and outside antenna. The dump station is very strange; you will be blocking the one lane of the entrance road as you dump. There is also no place to hookup as you leave. We are not for sure why others rate this campground so highly. We stayed at this campground because of its proximity to the Natchez Trace; we would likely pass it by next time if passing through. - TheJim
Jun 2017 - $24.00
The facilities are dated, but everything functioned just fine. The park itself is gorgeous. There is a huge, clean swimming pool. Some of the lots are on fairly steep hills, so if you have little kids, look at the pictures or call before you choose which lot. I give it a 7/10 strictly for how dated everything was. - Melissa Faires

Looks a lot better on the website. They have no one available in their office. The bathrooms are nice and big but very unclean. The showers look moldy and the toilets aren't clean. They have a laundry room on site but it'very dusty, hot, and floors are filthy. - Simple living
Jun 2016 - $35.00
This park is now called Heritage Campground and RV Park. Most of the sites were taken up by workers. This place looks good on the web site, but is in need of much work, it has a lot of potential, but is sadly lacking on completion of projects started. The power was good as was the water quality. The water hook up is in a box at ground level. The sewer hook up was acceptable. If you look at the photos at the redirected website, it looks like two rows of sites..there is only one, the "back" row has no hookups and sewer pipes were laying around on the ground. It is definitely not worth the price charged per night. - Teacher's Pet
Mar 2014 - $25.00
We planned to stay at this park for a month till we arrived and saw it in person. It is 'big rig friendly' as far as the length of the pull thrus. The pull thru sites are narrow and you step off into dirt/mud. There are young trees planted in the narrow strip of dirt between sites. Due to placement of the young trees, we could not pull up far enough to hook up to the sewer and also have our slide room out. We connected to the electric and it had no problems. This park is trying to update, but unless they get some width to their sites, it will not be truly big rig friendly. - Camground surveys

May 2016 - $30.00
Two thumbs down. The bathrooms are filthy and the campsites are uneven and narrow. The electric boxes were going out no one around to fix them. Very disappointed that KOA is associated with this place. - Snoopzq
Aug 2015 - $1.00
First of all the roads to get there are a challenge with a bigger rig. Lots of hilly, narrow, and winding roads. Like many Thousand Trails parks they are not easy to get to. Once again, you arrive and hope for good luck finding a site since nothing is guaranteed. You may have a 40' rig and all that's left is a 30' site and that's just your tough luck. The office staff was very friendly. We start through the park looking for a site and within a short distance come up on huge steep grade hills. We unhooked our tow vehicle just because I have never had to climb such a hill with our RV and had no idea what to expect. But, I will say I had no problem going up, but all the interior roads are terrible, lots of pot holes. We found a pull through site that was just okay but it was level. 30 amps only through out the park so you better hope it is not too hot outside. Our picnic table was rotted and warped wood and the concrete patio was broken and cracked all over. Electricity seemed weak, but I did not test it. They have a lake and beach area, but they were out of kayaks or canoes the day day we wanted to rent one. We left early as there was nothing about this place that was fun for us. We did meet the new manager that just arrived, and after speaking with him felt comfortable that he was going to do all he could to improve this park. I would not return to this place. - Highway Star
Aug 2014 - $26.00
Natchez Trace KOA is not a typical KOA. It seems like they have partnered with Thousand Trails who sells camp sites in the Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve. KOA people check you in, give you a map that shows the section where they have 81 KOA sites of the advertised 653 sites, and they tell you "take any one". It is a mile or so over broken, pot holed asphalt. Up on a ridge. Far away from the lake, store, facilities, amenities. Sites are water (20 PSI) and electric (106 volts under load), concrete patio, table, and grill. Wash-outs are common and can make site access difficult if not impossible. You can see that the effort to develop this place was a long time ago and nature has taken its course since then. As an overnight stop with laundry, it was acceptable for us, with no car. To stay here for any period would require a golf cart, car or truck. In this way you could get to the good stuff to offset the negatives. - BbTrombone

I spent a great 6 days there. Although I didn't have a horse to ride their trails, there were many day riders and campground people that did and raved about them. I spent my time in two of their cabins and enjoyed my stay a lot. They offered a breakfast which I tried and enjoyed. Good place to check out if you are in the area. - James2000

Oct 2017 - $1.00
This National Park Service campground is at mile 385.9 on the Natchez Trace Parkway. A previous reviewer noted a detour on the Parkway north of this campground; we encountered no such detour, only beautiful roads. This is a shaded, well-treed campground, so no satellite for DirecTV was possible. We had very weak Verizon signal; with our booster and outside antenna we could get voice and slow data. I would not call this a big-rig campground as the internal roads and sites are fairly narrow. The internal roads and sites are paved. Some of the sites are fairly level, but others have quite a bit of slope. The sites are well separated but there is little vegetation for visual privacy. Generators can, and were, run anytime between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. There are no hookups and there is no dump station, but there is a water spigot available for filling fresh water tanks. There was a site with a trailer for a camp host, but there was never anyone present. In fact, we saw no official presence at all during our four day visit. Most people seemed to stay one or two nights, but one site was taken by a long-term camper. As noted, the campground is free and, although there is a 14-day limit, no one was around to enforce that limit. We enjoyed our stay at this lovely campground and would stay again if in the area. - TheJim
May 2017 - $1.00
What a gorgeous FREE place to stay! Sites are large and pretty level. Fire ring and picnic table. Beautiful, quiet surroundings. And Natchez Trace is a superior park. Gravel sites. Easy enough to maneuver our 30 foot trailer with 21 foot tow vehicle. Pretty sparse for campers. This is the largest and best campground on the trace. No hookups or dump station but who cares when you have this great ambiance! - arizona drifters
Apr 2017 - $1.00
We stayed here from April 27-May 1st. There is no charge to stay here. The campground is absolutely beautiful. The sites are large, well spaced, allowing for a great deal of privacy. There are no services, but water is available, though not at the individual campsites. There is very little light, so you can enjoy the natural night sky through the trees. There is plenty of shade at each site as well. The grounds are well maintained, and heavy metal trashcans with well fitting lids are scattered throughout the campgrounds. In the short time we were there we saw staff empty the trash twice, though they may have come more often and we missed it. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. The restrooms were very clean. - FatSadieLou

May 2018 - $40.00
Great disappointment. Good Sam's rating (appeal = 8) is way overstated. Entry sign says a "resort" - they offer nothing. The owner wouldn't even share the wifi password. We asked for a 30 amp site ($30); couldn't get into it - so upgraded to 50 amps for ($40). They couldn't deliver so we paid. Trees hung over the road to scratch your unit. Sites were unlevel. - TuckerTucker
Apr 2018 - $40.00
The campground office was located in the restaurant at the front of the property, which smelled wonderful by the way. Check in was quick and friendly, led us to our "site". It was just a spot in the grass. There were some gravel-dirt type spots as well. You can see the Trace from the park. The "grass" needed mowed. It was FHU, however... was at the back of the "site". We backed up to a FEMA style permanent trailer, rental? We couldn't reach the sewer. The sewer hose was next to the rental. The 50 amp plug was at the front. We backed in far enough where our '32 fifth wheel could fit without unhooking. There was no way we could have hooked up all services. We used our '30 extension for power. The water was literally in a hole (some type of connection box stuffed with insulation) in the ground, about '35 from our coach. The road was close, but didn't bother us. Bottom line, if the rate was in the $25 range, we would have expected the more "camp" feel... the $40 price should have included some upkeep. The camp ground host site was very junky. Ultimately, we felt safe and was very convenient, but just way over-priced. We won't return. - Texanmark
Nov 2017 - $40.00
We have come here since 2015 because we visit with faily in nearby Duck River twice a year. Over the years, this campground has steadily improved. It is a campground and not to be confused with a resort. The facilities are basic but well kept. For the past 2 years they employ a camp host who assists with getting you to your site. They have 4 50A sites and 6 pull-throughs. We travel in a 45ft motorhome towing a 25ft trailer. Easy in and out for us. The remaining sites are back-ins/pull-ins. Some sites are occupied by workers staying in 5th wheels, working on nearby construction projects. Campground very quiet at at night even though it is adjacent to the highway AND the entrance to the Natchez Trace Parkway. The on-site restaurant is open Thursdays-Sundays serving country style dishes. I did have the BBQ baby back ribs the last night we were there. Delicious. There is a 1 mile walking trail on site as well as a creek with fresh, clean water. We will come back here for sure. The sites are faily level with gravel and hardpack mixes. - Olivia Las Vegas
