There is no wifi, even when they advertise it saying it is free. Make sure you use your hot spot. There is no cable TV and poor reception with your antenna up. The sites are very close together, no privacy. We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park takes no amenities and no-frills to the extreme. They don't even have a map, most likely so that you can't see how many RVs they cram into the small spaces. There are a lot of full-timers here, many who don't treat the area like you would a home. The only garbage reciprocal is two football fields away from the main camping area and they don't offer pickup. The wifi worked good the first day but then they had issues. It would be considered an expensive overnight stay but okay for a last resort. The only good thing I have to say is that the water pressure was great. I wouldn't stay here if the new management hasn't made some serious changes. We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Motorhome.

Very old RV park. Sites extremely close together. Restroom/shower facilities were filthy. Most disturbing was the sewer connection and fresh water hose bib were located in a hole almost side-by-side. To make matters worse, the hose bib was located below the top of the sewer connection. Any overflow of sewage could possibly contaminate the fresh water supply and create a health hazard (see photo). How disgusting. Couldn't wait to pack up and leave the next morning. What do you expect for $50 a night. We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is under new ownership/management. I believe it used to be the Timberline. New owner is upgrading and attempting to make this presentable. Staff is also in the learning stages but found them pleasant. We had originally planned to stay a month but daily and weekly rates are all that were offered. I was quoted $165/week but when we arrived, we were placed on a very long, gravel site and were charged the extra $20 difference. We agreed as it allowed us to leave our tow dolly attached to the motorhome. With tax $199.75 plus electric at 15 cents/kwh. Daily rate included electric and came to $54.63 ~ we needed to stay an extra night. Bath house and laundry available. No cable, wifi, fire ring or picnic table. The site itself was in a graveled area, full sun, with connections for two RVs to sit side by side, in opposite directions. Long term residents were positioned mostly on the perimeter. The positives were the long pull thru site and pool. The play area appeared in good condition. RV parks outside of Nashville are few and mostly COE or state parks. We were waiting for an opening at the campground in Smyrna as my husband was working there. Figuring the monthly cost would be $800 for the site and $150 (conservatively) for the electric, we opted to juggle the state park and COE camps until we could be accommodated elsewhere. We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Motorhome.

Poor quality, trashed, run down, and avoid at all cost. I am not joking, restrooms have no doors, dirty, and run down. Would not recommend to stay here. Go somewhere else. We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park is haphazardly laid out, crowded, and dirty. Most of the guests are obviously long-term. Some of the rigs are in poor condition and surrounded by junk in the site. We had to put up with loud, cursing, and arguing neighbors. Several dogs would bark at every loud noise, in other words, often. The roadways are narrow and often used for parking by guests. The trash dumpster was overflowing with several bags of trash on the ground outside the dumpster. We did not use the restrooms, showers or laundry facilities...afraid to. We thought the rate was outrageous for this place. Obviously, the owners don't put anything back into the park. The way only redeeming factor was the lady in the office. She was very friendly and helpful. We had an emergency and could not find and anywhere else to stay, but we would stay in the Walmart parking lot before coming back here again. This is one of the poorest campgrounds we ever stayed in. We knew we were getting in late, so the office lady said she'd leave paperwork on where to park by the office door. We never found any paperwork. We started looking around and finally found some pedestals with no wiring. After looking around some more, we found one with a 30 amp plug. There were no lights at all in the park. The next morning, the both of us went to the restrooms and found there were no toilet or paper towels. There was a sign on each door stating that due to theft, the management will not supply them. My wife said that there was a lady washing dishes in one of the sinks. We just cannot recommend anyone staying at this campground. We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Motorhome.

This is a resident filled campground with a million kids. There are few pull throughs for overnights, most of which have no power boxes, which they say they are working on. Services are OLD and broken, roads are bumpy, too many rigs that are partially covered with tarps. Water smells funny. Tight turns and small spaces. One night layover only. We would not return. Not a very attractive place at all. We had stayed here before for a night and had a site near the front of the park. This was ok for one or two nights. This trip, all the front sites were taken by long term residents. We were directed to the back of the park and told to take any place available. The first four sites did not have any outlets in the power boxes. Of the 50 or so rigs, we appeared to be the only over-night campers. This campground has gone downhill, no it has gone down the sewer. We have been full time RVer's for 10 years, and this is the second park we left as soon as we could. We should have looked around. This park has been taken over by ??? (campers living in tents packed like sardines). At 2:30AM our neighbors started to have a fight, yelling screaming, fighting, banging car doors, trailer doors. I was hoping my property wasn't damaged. I didn't get any sleep after that. This was our worst over night stay in 8 or 9 years. Campground was dirty with lots of full-time users with lots of stuff. The staff was friendly and the Passport America rate of 11.50 made it an acceptable overnight stop. We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Motorhome.

At Passport rates this is a decent overnight stop. Yes, there are plenty of truck and lots of long-term residents with lots of stuff. But the person in the office and other guests we met were very friendly and helpful and we felt perfectly safe staying here. Plus it is very close to plenty of shopping, food, and a good truck stop. We would stay here again. We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very unkempt, dirty grounds. Have been here 3 days and dumpster is still overflowing onto the ground. Looks like mostly full-time construction workers staying here; big trucks coming and going all day long. Very narrow pull-throughs with the sewer hookup. Couldn't even put awning out without hitting bus next door! It is a Passport America campground so price is 1/2. I have stayed at this park several times it is OK for a overnight stay. The sites up front are very noisy. The sites in the back are OK but dusty and have a lot of permanent RVs . We camped at TN40 RV Park & Campground (formerly the Timberline Campground) in a Motorhome.
