Overall Rating:

Stayed here 2 nights in a 26 foot TT at site 20. All sites are pull thru and gravel with full hookups with grass on each side of gravel. Call for directions and use old TN -111 highway. Beautiful view of the Lake/pond. Nice dog walking area near lake/pond. Site 28 has best view of lake/pond. Good access to showers and bathrooms. Bathrooms are amazing as each one is a totally complete private entity. Open the door and each one contains a big modern shower (with pretty shower curtains), a toilet and a sink. Also there is a handicap one that is very handicap safe. The laundry room has many newer appliances and open 24/7. All spotlessly clean. On our 4 week trip consisting of 14 RV parks, most all the campers at the 13 other parks had very large RVs or 5th wheelers as compared to our 26 foot TT; This park was the only one on our trip that had some smaller travel trailers; pop-ups, etc. The reason has to be the wonderful private bathrooms and laundry. Free wi-fi and excellent price at $36. Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for 2017. We camped at Mountain Glen RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Great number of things to do in the general area. Chattanooga is close as is a great state park. Follow instructions from Campground on how to get there, many narrow steep roads that would be difficult, if not impossible for a large RV.

Overall Rating:

This campground is a bit off the beaten path, which is why we loved it. No highway traffic noise. The most clean and quiet campground we've ever stayed. The sites are close together, which is something we try to avoid when choosing a campground, but it wasn't an issue this trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would definitely return. We camped at Mountain Glen RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

If you enjoy hiking, Fall Creek Falls and Savage Gulf are great places to visit. There is a local Mennonite community with shops and goods. We were only there for 2 days and didn't get a chance to visit the shops. Follow the directions given. Stay away from 127, I hear there ae severe switchbacks.

Overall Rating:

We had the distinct pleasure of staying at Mountain Glen RV Park 5 - 9 May 2019. Our stay actually wound up being an extra blessing from the Lord as we initially had reservations at a local State Park. We have a 41 foot 5th wheel with a crew cab, long bed truck that ultimately would not fit at the State Park. Mountain Glen RV Park was recommended as an alternate location. My wife called and spoke with the owner who quickly reserved a spot for us and provided us terrific directions to their park. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking with the owners who went out of their way to ensure all of our needs were met. Like other comments, the restroom/shower facilities are the cleanest we've ever experienced. Additionally, the WiFi signal is very strong regardless of where you are in the park. The campground has a park like setting with a spring fed pond and surrounding grounds that are neatly manicured. They even have a picnic pavilion offering ping pong tables and corn hole games. Lastly, our camper and truck both fit into / onto our assigned site. We have since recommended the facility to several of our friends and we undoubtedly will be back. Be absolutely sure to follow the website / owner directions and DO NOT follow anything your GPS tells you. We camped at Mountain Glen RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park is on a mountain. BE SURE TO USE THEIR DIRECTIONS AND NOT GPS! Even my Magellan RV GPS would have taken me up a mountain road with switchbacks. It is a very clean park, with some of the nicest restrooms I have seen in my travels! Nice laundry room too. There is NO cell service, but EXCELLENT free Wifi! They have a cable TV in the game room, but antennae for sites. The interior roads and sites are gravel. They have tried to make the drive area level, but some of the sites slope off and/or have humps in and out of the sites. Fall Creek Falls State park is a short drive away, and there is a small Amish/Mennonite community with stores/nursery/etc. in the immediate area. Nice grassy area around a catch and release pond. Country setting that is quiet except for the logging trucks. We camped at Mountain Glen RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The rate reflects a month-long stay and includes charges for electric. We truly enjoyed our stay at this park in the mountains. Our reservation and check-in process was smooth and the owners are very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of information about local activities in the Park Office, as well as a camp store with necessities. Our site (15) and the surrounding sites were level, but some sites do have a steep pull up that may pose a problem for bigger rigs. We observed that the owners make every effort to put bigger rigs in the flattest sites to avoid issues. Navigating the gravel roads in the park was a bit tight, but manageable. Hookups were in great shape and easy to access. Satellite reception was great, few local TV channels were available. We spent most of our evenings enjoying the fire pit, the night sky (not much light pollution so you can really see the stars), and the cool evenings. This park has, by far and away, the best wi-fi we have experienced in a park. It's fast and reliable. Verizon cell phone service was spotty, but the owners have a phone outside of the office for use if needed. The park is in a remote and picturesque setting, but you're not far at all from the activities at Fall Creek Falls SP (2o minutes), Sparta (30 minutes), and Chattanooga ( 1 hour). The maintenance of the park is top notch. The grass is cut regularly and gravel for the roads and sites is kept groomed. The game room should keep kids busy all day with air hockey, pool, foosball, a large TV, and board games. They also have a ping-pong table and cornhole boards. All facilities are kept spotless. This is one of those places you can relax, enjoy the views, and still be close to a variety of attractions. Be sure to follow the directions on the website to get to the park. If not, you could end up coming up a very steep and windy mountail road with significant switchbacks. Great stay! We camped at Mountain Glen RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed for a week at this postcard pretty RV Park an hour north of Chattanooga. The gravel sites are level, although my site was 'crowned' and my auto-level took some adjusting. No big deal. They have a game room with a pool table, foosball, air hockey and many board games, plus a large screen TV hooked up to satellite TV. They do have a camp store with the necessities. Everything is neat and spotless. This RV Park is in the mountains. It's beautiful but remote. Internet is excellent but no cell phone service, however they do have a public (voip?) phone for local or long distance calling. No cable but the rooftop antenna brought in the basics. We enjoyed a relaxing, quiet week here and would definitely return. We camped at Mountain Glen RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed 2 months, Feb and March and returned for 2 weeks in August. Best park ever, staff super friendly, cleanest park. All facilities are immaculate. Centrally located. Game room, excellent, playground for kids and adults, quiet. Can't say enough good things about this campground. Owners work hard all the time making this place an excellent place for long or short term stays. Will take advantage of their store and stay program in near future. Rate reflects 2 nights PA and 1 night full price. I do not consider this park as big rig friendly, but others might. Sites are narrow and close. Sites by the road are on an angle that puts the front of the coach higher than the rear. If you have a toy hauler, you could have a steep drop out the back of your coach. First site was so unlevel my auto-leveler couldn't level. Second site was not as out of level so the leveler worked. Second site was also longer than first. There was some road noise and it was bothersome at night. A loose dog marked my coach's tires. Never did see the dog, just the spot on the tread. Game room was decent. No fenced dog area. No cell service, but there is a free landline phone by the office. Lots of good, twisty, motorcycle roads in the area. A bit of a drive to Pikeville for groceries or restaurants. Follow the driving directions on the web page. If you go it on your own, the twisty roads will not be kind to your coach. We camped at Mountain Glen RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is an out-of-the-way place to stay. It is truly, out in the country, and the perfect spot for those wishing to avoid the big city noise and hustle and bustle.
Some of the sites are fairly level, but about half of them are so uneven that campers are required to use several boards to get their rigs level. We were lucky in that we had one of the more level sites and had no problem getting our 44' coach level.
This campground is very clean, quiet, and friendly. There is a nice pond on site which is catch and release only, and has been stocked with bass, perch, and bream.
The staff is very cordial and helpful, and works hard to keep the facility clean and in working order. We will definitely stay here again as we pass through the area. We camped at Mountain Glen RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

If you stay here, make sure you bring everything you need. The nearest shopping we found was a small convenience store about 3 miles away. They had the staples, mil, bread, and some canned goods, but if you need more, a Super Walmart is about 28 miles away.

This campground is a diamond in the rough! Very Very Very well maintained! Very clean facilities! Very friendly-helpful staff! Excellent place to sit back and relax! Awesome for kids! We had 4 kids with us - ranging from 7yrs old to 12yrs old...not once did we hear "I'm bored". The game room was very nice and clean! Comfy furniture. The kids enjoyed playing air hockey, pool, and foosball. Can't say enough good things about this place! Very laid back and relaxed campground atmosphere! We stayed over Labor Day weekend, and they were very busy - even with all the added holiday campers, the place was still very quiet and relaxing. This park is about 10 miles from Falls Creek Falls. Yes, the sites are not all that level, and you will need the Blocks on the back end of your RV. But with that said, the other campground in that area, does NOT have level sites either. With this campground, the sites are all gravel, and wide open with only about 4 shade trees. No maneuvering around trees, narrow roads or having limbs rubbing down your RVs. Between the 2 parks, this one is great, hands down. Great WiFi. Cell service is spotty. 2 brothers have just open it and are doing what they can, as they can. We will be back again. We camped here with our Good Sam's group. 6 RVs. Definitely follow the written route to campground available on their site to avoid the switchback road, as written by a previous reviewer, which was the way the GPS choose. All sites are gravel with tables and a patch of green grass. Stayed in site 40, near the entrance and had a beautiful, unobstructed view of the mountains. All sites have fire rings with grates. Catch & release pond. Lots of geese and the night skies are bright with fireflies. Take a ride to visit the Mennonite community, a couple miles away. Fresh produce, bakery goods, plants, fabric, and even 6 foot long, 1 inch diameter solid fiberglass poles for $2.50 that we just had to stow away in the basement of the motor home for a future unknown project. Close to Fall Creek Falls State Park, and if you are in a 4 wheel drive vehicle & are looking for dirt road adventure, take the short cut route on the GPS. Leaving the park, take a right and the gas station on the left a couple miles away has breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Ask for the menu at the office & do call ahead to place order. Do not leave this way in the RV as that road goes to the switch back turns.

Owners very helpful and friendly. For larger units the sites are not level enough in my opinion. Reservation made for 40 ft motorhome and site provided was one of best in park, still was a challenge to level - blocks are needed. Campground is on a slope, consequently everything slightly uphill. On the plus side, beautiful location to explore Fall Creek Falls and surrounding area. Great campground for smaller units. Bathrooms are large and extremely clean (like new). Rate for passport America was $15 night. Sites are close together, but everyone we met was very friendly so we didn't mind. We camped at Mountain Glen RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
