An uneven experience. Signs everywhere read "Don't dump fish waste in dumpsters." From the smell, this injunction was pretty well ignored. The park had nice trees and grounds, and was on a pretty lake created by an earthquake in the early 1800s. This is a very popular place with local folks. Wonderful birds here (and eagles, we heard). Level sites; we didn't need to unhitch. A little awkward beginning as we went to find a campground host, finally gave up and moved into a site and later learned it was the host's day off but she'd be back the next day and we could pay then. - PeterCC

Nice clean campground. Sites are level, we stayed in 11; no need for leveling. Site was long enough for our 26 foot camper and our truck. - Joe Morris

We stayed a week in a back in spot #8. It was paved and deep enough for our 32" MH and tow vehicle. We used it as a base camp to visit friends and see sights. We went to Discovery Park, a must see if you are in the area! It is quiet during the week and full on the weekends. We would stay again, when we are in the area. - NYParsels

Seawall comment from earlier reviewer is not accurate if arriving from the north. Follow GPS to front door and pick up signs for RV Parking. Be prepared to do a loop to the right to make the left into the park. Park is all grass and concrete. Do not think site 19 had a sewer?!?!? We shared with one other RV. Broke even at tables. - dragonsix

We stayed here just for an overnight stop and thoroughly enjoyed the stay and restaurant. Neither were busy. You drive to the lot and pick your spot then go to the Casino desk straight back and pay for your spot. Ours was $38 with Good Sam discount. The sites were concrete, level, no shade, and the grounds were nicely done. I only used electricity which worked great (it was in the upper 80s outside). Trash was picked up at your site and Security regularly patrolled the grounds which is typical of most casinos. This included the RV park even though it was only three of us there. My only issue is the water hook-up was the type below ground in a box so access was a small issue so I didn't bother. We were pulling a toad and did not disconnect. - Land of Nor

We had a fairly level, pull through, FHU site that was satellite friendly. We did not bother with the cable TV but were able to get on the internet for about half an hour before losing the connection. Once again the bathrooms were not clean. This, along with check in at the hotel, "iffy" cable, and unreliable cable TV make the $40 full price way too much. At least they knock off $5 for Good Sam members. Finally, not allowing reservations is another negative. - Jerry S

Incredibly clean restrooms and individual showers with unlimited hot water. Super nice staff. All pull thru sites. Strong WiFi and phone signals. Spacious, clean laundry room with 4 washers and 4 dryers. Would have given a 10 but some traffic noise and not much nearby.
No tow vehicle with us but plenty of room for one. Good place to recharge ourselves. Been on road for ~3 weeks. Did laundry, cleaned our MH and relaxed. Quiet, small-just what we needed! - Lcpjax50575

First let me say, don't go by this parks overall rating. Several bad reviews are from 10 years ago. The park changed owners 2 years ago. This park is easily a 8.5 to 9.5 park. Very peaceful despite the fact that I-55 is close. Spacious is the word I would use to describe it. Lots of room between sites. Each shower is its own private room. Gravel and grass for the sites. All pull throughs. The caretakers are gracious hosts. My site was long and level. No need to do any leveling. Absolutely love this park. - 70 Nole

This was our first time to stay at Bootheel RV Park. I requested a long pull-through with no trees and they accommodated us just perfectly. We had a nice end spot #41. This is a nice stop over, a very quiet park, good water, electric and sewer. The office was closed when we arrived but had our envelope ready for us. On departure, no one was in the office so we couldn't get our credit card receipt. The park is surrounded by farm land and was very pleasant, we would definitely stay again and recommend it! There is a slight bit of noise from the interstate traffic but it didn't bother us. - MarkG.

Rate reflects senior discount. There are two sides to this park, one is South Campground which is where the park offices are located. This side is Airpark, it is about 15 miles from the main park site. Airpark Campground has 14 campsites, all 30 amp with water. There is a dump station. There is a restroom and shower located in the old air field building, the restrooms were clean; we did not use the showers. Currently there is demolition of the old Airpark Inn and Restaurant going on so you have to come to the end of the paved road and use the dump site as an entrance and exit. The sites are level, spacious, gravel with nice patio areas. We were a little disappointed that on arrival, we found the fire ring to be so full of ash and trash, we filled a 13 gal trash bag to get it clean enough to use. The campground has 7 sites in each "loop". Airpark is very quiet, secluded. The campground has a lot of grass area for games and play. It is 10 miles to any services, gas, store, restaurant, etc. Bird watching is great; there were some rabbits and squirrels running around. There is a little trail that goes through the woods, some areas nearby to fish and a boat launch about ½ mile down the road. Very level for walking and biking. Staff was friendly and park was kept clean. We would stay here again. - Fixn2gocamp

Great place to stop for the night. No frills here but it looks like the owner is making improvements. Nice, level, full hookup sites. Brand new laundry/shower/restrooms. Fast WIFI. Room to walk the dog. Everything we needed to wait out 2 rainy days. - CJVJn1Doug
Sep 2016 - $30.00
Big rig friendly with level sites. Traveled on I55 south and then I155 using our GPS. Then we had to take a ferry across the river. Suggest you check to see the difference if you stay on I55. Only bathroom and shower is in the office. Laundry was good. No dog park but grass to walk dog. Staff was very friendly. - Fulltimersrv
Mar 2016 - $30.00
Good overnight stay. Convenient to highway. Would stay there again. Sites are decent with adequate room. Did not use the WiFi. Decent cell phone coverage. Surge protector would not turn on using the 50 amp connection but worked fine with the 30 amp connection. - wv2tx

We are full-timers and on the road. Pulled into Union City and planned on staying at this park. The park was full except for 1 site. Looked to be full of people living there. It is basically a parking lot, but would have been fine for an overnight stay. The 1 open site was already booked. This is the first time in 4 1/2 years of full-timing that we have ever stopped somewhere that had no site available. I wouldn't recommend stopping here unless you call ahead and reserve "if" there is anything available. - User2260
