We stayed here for 2 weeks in our fifth wheel. We have stayed at many parks in the area and this is definitely one of our favorites. Cannot beat the views and the spacious sites. We loved Honeysuckle Meadows. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Spectacular views... right off a post card. In the heart of the Smoky Mountains, this is a great park. FHU and 100+ channel Comcast cable with the (included) box. Strong wi-fi. Very quiet. Very large, gravel spaces spread far apart. A scenic drive to nearby Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We passed some parks closer to the action but rolled our eyes at how stacked on top of each other the sites were with questionable views in a busy location. Very, very glad we stayed where we did. The last six miles of the road in from the Maryville side is not for the faint of heart. It's a narrow, newly paved - but mountain - road with curves and two switchbacks. We did it three times - there's a neaby RV wash - with a dually and a 40' fifth wheel and lived to tell the tale. Coming through Pigeon Forge is an easier road, but you have to come through Pigeon Forge 3-lane, stop-n-go traffic. Rates are $5 more in July and October due to the colors. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

First let me say that the view was incredible. We did not want to leave every morning. The birds chirping are the only sound you hear. My site was very unlevel. Most are level. My site has the best view in the loop I am on. Now for the other side. The site they originally gave us in January for an April arrival was not one my 41 fifth would fit. Upon arrival I was assured that we would fit . No escort to site. We almost turned over the trailer trying to make a turn we should not have had to make if we would have taken a different route and still could not get into our site. It was too small. The owner was very accommodating and put us in another spot. I have talked to him and anyone coming into here for the first time should get somebody to take you to your site first before bringing your trailer in. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our second stay at this campground. For us it's a good location away from all the craziness in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Easy access into the National Park from here. The sites are spaced apart pretty well but most are not level. Some are excessive and we couldn't level the coach so we had to move. The staff is very friendly and will help in any way they can. Utilities all work well including the cable tv. WIFI is outstanding. Verizon signal is good. Interior roads are good but a little tight in spots for big rigs. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Motorhome.

When we stayed here it was still called Cove Mountain RV Resort. We truly loved the place. In the evenings after our adventures into the Smokies or other areas, we would love to sit out in our lounge chairs and take in some of the most beautiful scenery we've experienced. The sites were huge. This one will be a delight !! We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Seiverville were all within a short driving distance. There was an entrance to the Smokey Mountain Nat'l Park less than 3 miles from the RV Park. We truly enjoyed our stay here, and can't wait to go back.

I reserved and paid for a particular site in February for labor day week. I drove 700 miles to hear sorry we gave that one to someone else. I have an e-mail confirming the site and date. when i explained this to the girl at the counter i got no response except sorry we only have one site for your time frame, the site i was given was so small that we had to put the table outside up against the entry steps or it will fall down the slope. Even the fire ring is not level enough to set up a chair. The sites they advertise on there website are for long term guest so don't be fooled. ***Park is now marketed as Honeysuckle Meadows, but signage still says Cove Mountain. We spent a very pleasant 2 weeks here. Sites are very large with good drainage, fire pits, and picnic tables. The park is built on a hill - there are no sharp turns in the road, but be aware that not all sites are level (mostly front/back). Most sites are gravel, a few have covered wooden structures for the patio. The drive is big rig friendly, and a number of spots can accommodate a Class A & toad. With our semi truck pulling a 43' 5th wheel, site #2 was perfect for us. Casual country hospitality here - no big rule book. Great place to stay to be away from the noise of Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. There are also rental cabins on the property. No laundry, but there are laundromats in Pigeon Forge, about 15 minutes away. There's a great grassy area just behind our site where we could play fetch with the dog (important for us). ***If you're driving anything larger than a Class B/C, make sure you drive in from the Northeast, from the Pigeon Forge area. Wears Valley Road (321) is very twisty but it's much worse if you come through Maryville and Townsend. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Take an early morning drive to Cade's Cove. Visit the GSMNP Sugarland Visitor's Center. Buy a fresh loaf of bread from the Valley Bake Shoppe and Cafe just 2 miles to the east. The larger markets (Kroger, Publix) are 15 mins. away in Pigeon Forge, but there's a small country market just a half mile west on 321 for the basics. Propane is available about 6 miles to the east on 321.

Very nice park in close proximity to the National Park entrance. We stayed in Wears Valley to get away from the congestion in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Staff is very friendly and laid back. No problem washing the rig and toad while we were there for a week. We arrived after hours and they left a welcome packet at the office for us. We had site 2 and it was very spacious. It was a bit unlevel but we managed OK. Hookups worked great including the cable TV. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We stayed in site 55. Very spacious sites. Full hookup. Excellent water pressure. We were fairly level. The campground seemed very well maintained .

Biggest drawback was probably due to our particular site location which was right next to edge of property including a house and a road so lots of motorcycle / truck noise when outside. Drove around other sites and they were much further removed and would have been much quieter. For a night or two this site was acceptable any longer and we would have asked to be in one of the sites on the large loop . We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Travel Trailer.

New owners are in the process of changing the name of the campground to Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park but the sign at the entrance still says Cove Mountain Resorts RV Park. This campground is a very peaceful place. The sites are very large and all have full hookups as there is no restroom/shower building. There is a nice pool area and snack bar that is open in the summer. You will need reservations during summer and the early part of October. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Stayed 1 month (nightly rate based on monthly rate). Very large site with lots of space between sites. We pulled our MH straight in and hookups were on the left side which was fine for our hookups but if you had a trailer or fifth wheel and backed it in the hookups would be on the wrong side. There were other sites that had the hookups on the correct side so make sure you ask about the site. Our site was so long that we could have probably gotten 2 motor homes into it and it was easy to get into from paved road. There was a mix of seasonal, monthly and nightly. Very well maintained and mowed regularly. WiFi was standard campground speed (sometimes medium slow and sometimes agonizingly slow) and signal was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I don't think they had a shower/restroom building but we almost never use them so I never looked.

Would recommend staying in this park. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Location was very convenient to get into the Smokies without having to go through the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg mess. Grocery store was about 15 minutes away and you did not have to get into the high traffic area and the same for laundry.

There's no resort here just a RV Park. Staff is helpful, sites are quite large but not very level. All sites are gravel. No laundry or restrooms. They do take Good Sam although it's not noted on their web site. Several of the sites have the hookups on the left side requiring you to pull in instead of backing in. Nothing exceptional just average facilities except size of sites. Nothing much for kids to do. Cable TV requires an adapter box be installed in your TV coax input to access all the cable channels. If you only have HDMI connections then you're going to have problems. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We've stayed in some very expensive RV resorts over the years, but this was absolutely the nicest place we've stayed at a very good price. I was in a slot that had to be close to an acre in size. The landscaping was superb and with no hesitation in saying the quietest and most serene location you can imagine. The office personnel was SO nice and helpful. No doubt if ever this way again, this is where I will stay. We camped at Honeysuckle Meadows RV Park (formerly Cove Mountain RV Park) in a Motorhome.
