I guess there is give and take to almost anywhere you stay, and this describes our stay at Little Arrow. THE GOOD: Great location right next to the national park, and away from the tourist traps around Pigeon Forge. Nice level site with a great view of the river. Very family-oriented, and the staff were great! THE BAD: The sites were just too close together for my taste, with our fire pit being only 6 ft from our neighbor's sewer hookup. The price! And it's going up next year to $90/night (before taxes) in-season. Almost every sq ft of the place is used for something, with campsites, glamping tents, etc stuck anywhere they will fit. Maneuvering the roads can be a challenge with people parking everywhere. This place is sort-of geared to the yuppie crowd with the tiny homes, glamping tents, and airstream rentals. THE VERDICT: We're still in our first few years of RV camping and finding our favorite campgrounds for the areas we visit, and will look around for somewhere with more space and better pricing. We may not find it, and in that case we'd probably come back, but it won't be every year at these prices. We camped at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort (formerly Tremont Outdoor Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoyed our stay at Little River. The campground stayed full on the weekend and cleared out some during the week. Sites were adequately large but not much space between. Turns were tight but manageable for us in our A class and for my brother in his 5th wheel. We would stay there again. We camped at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort (formerly Tremont Outdoor Resort) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bear- and other wildlife-spotting at Cade’s Cove and Roaring Forks Loop at Gatlinburg. Tons of tourist attractions at Pigeon Forge. Water activities in Townsend were shut down for the season but there’s lots to do there in spring/summer. Lots of hiking trails. It’s about an hour’s Drive down to Cherokee.

This was our first stay at Little Arrow. The renovations that have been made are excellent. The bath house is probably the nicest I've seen. The spots were very nice and while we had no trouble getting in (our TT is 24') backing in could be tight for some. The WiFi was excellent. Only complaint would be the location of some of the firepits. We had a lot of smoke come into our camper a couple of nights due to the neighboring pit being close to our camper. Stayed here previously when it was Tremont Resort. Park is better staffed now and better maintained. Although they advertise big rig friendly, my 40 foot Fifth Wheel was too much for the park, I camped with two other 5th wheels (36 foot, 42 foot) and we all agree the sites are big enough, just not enough maneuverability in the park. Upon entrance we had to ask neighbors to move parked vehicles and upon exit we waited again for parked vehicles to be moved or leave altogether. Very clean park, sites are close together. This is a great place for those that want to tube the river, the sites are shaded, most of the park is gravel, although some pavement exists on entry and exit road. Sites are level with very nice fire pits and picnic tables. I would recommend this park, just bring your A game when entering and exiting the park if your RV is over 36 ft long. Tube the river. Campground is just below the drop off point for most tube rental places, so you can rent a tube, run the river, and stop by your campsite for lunch and get back on the river.

Beautiful spot right along Little River and very near the entrance to Cade's Cove, Smokey Mountains. They had probably the cleanest and fanciest restrooms I've ever seen at an RV park. They had fresh rolled up cotton hand towels by the sink for park guests. Very clean and nicely decorated. The park itself was very kept up; lots of trees but not difficult to navigate through the park. Tight road at entrance; we were in the "A" loop so it was necessary to enter the park through that part of the road. Best spot in my opinion would be B33...it was up against the creek, had its own little gazebo on the creek and far enough away from any road noise. Since our site wasn't quite long enough to get our tow vehicle off the park road they let us park it in an adjacent site until it was needed. Thankfully, this seems to be a slower time of their season so we were able to use it throughout our stay. Nice folks! First time staying since the transition to the new owner and the Clayton Homes investment. The upgrades are really good and much improved over the last few years. Lots of kids activities, really nice hosts. Good overall experience. The only negative is the road noise and some concern that the infrastructure growth may exceed the facilities soon if they keep expanding. There was plenty of space during the week but the campground was full on the weekend and felt a little strain with the cabins, glampers and regular RV crowd. I can't imagine that the pool and deck area could support it all during peak summer. Also be alert to the big price change that runs from late spring till fall ($90!! Ouch). Always been a great location now has the amenities to match it. Close to Cades Cove..pigeon forge, Gatlinburg We camped at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort (formerly Tremont Outdoor Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

We had stayed at this park many times when it was Tremont Outdoor Resort. It was already the best overall campground in the Townsend area as it was, albeit a little dated. However, the transformation since the new owners took over goes much deeper than the name change. The entire park has had a major facelift. The bath houses and camp store are the nicest you will find in any campground. A coffee shop, yurts, and tiny houses have been added. Section A has all new lighted power posts with 50A service and the voltage was steady throughout our stay. The sewer system has been replaced. All the campsites have new patios and fire pits. The staff is much more friendly than the old staff. I didn’t like the name change at first, but after seeing how much money and effort has been invested, it’s easy to understand why it had to have a new name as well. Our site was riverfront, peaceful, and easy to back in. Cable is clear and the WiFi works all over the campground, although it slowed down some during the peak traffic days. We already recommended this campground to others, but even more so now. We camped at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort (formerly Tremont Outdoor Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Camped for 3 nights last weekend and LOVED IT! Facilities were wonderful and clean. Patios and fire pits were awesome. So much to do on site and location is perfect for all area attractions. Great playground for kids and fenced area for dogs. River access is great. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Bath houses are beautiful. Going to be hard to beat this place! Booked again for next month! Worth every penny! We camped at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort (formerly Tremont Outdoor Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

New owners have made this place amazing. We camped here years ago and always said it was the best location for a campground, but the facilities were not very nice, and the staff was not friendly. When we heard that the campground had been sold and completley redone, we had to go stay again. I have to say, it is probably the best campground in the smokies. Bathrooms are amazing, grounds are perfect, staff is wonderful, and amenities are fantastic. We will be back! If you are visiting the smokies, this is the place to stay. The Good: Staff is super friendly, lots of things going on for the kids, nice grounds, clean facilities, a lot of new or remodeled items on the grounds, and easy to get to. You feel like you are in the mountains. The Bad: The pool 'deck' is VERY Slippery. I saw two kids and one adult fall just walking normal. When it is wet, I bet I could slide 15 ft + in my shoes with a good start. The paint/surface is very slick when it gets wet. Maybe a paint with sand mixed in or something else on the surface would fix this. Someone is going to get hurt (busted head, etc) on this surface. None/spotty cell service, our spot had little to no WIFI (B10), and the spot we were in was advertised as a 40' spot (it is 33' upon measuring from back of pad to where the grass starts - 35' total from back of pad to shade tree) and we had to hang several feet behind the pad to really fit with the slide (and my truck still blocked just about the entire road when unhooking and hooking back up). There are also two random giant rocks across from that site that make it pretty hard to back up a 33' camper with a Ram 2500. Maybe a smaller camper and tow rig would be easier. We camped at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort (formerly Tremont Outdoor Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

If you stay a week, the 8th night is free. Quoted price was for full hookup site NOT on the river. Most of the river sites have a covered picnic table overlooking the Little River. The new owners have put a LOT of money and work into improving this campground. WiFi was very fast, although the campground was sparsely populated when we stayed, before Memorial Day weekend. Campground was very nice. Codes for bathroom to keep non-campers from using restrooms. Roads were easy to navigate for big rigs. Called on short notice and was offered premium 50 amp sites. I should have asked but was not offered other options. Campground is scheduled for auction on October 20th. There is a campstore onsight as well as a pool in the summer. Sites on river have covered picnic tables. Includes cable. We camped at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort (formerly Tremont Outdoor Resort) in a Travel Trailer.
