We stayed here several night waiting on a grand baby to come. It was a great location for us. Very easy to get to from the interstate. The hosts were very knowledgeable and welcoming.
The website was very accurate in describing the level vs slight incline of the site.
The office staff were great in helping us move reservations around to different sites. This park is very popular, make reservations ahead of time if you want to stay, especially on a weekend!
If you have children, the playground is good in the park and another near their office. Our 2&4 year olds enjoyed the Storybook walk, owl and hawk that they have in a pen.
Only negative, don’t tow your dingy from the office. The roads have some trees near them.
Don’t expect antennae tv or Satellite. - Msu jg

Beautiful park with shaded, spacious sites with water and electric. Restrooms were clean. The only complaint was the showers had shower heads that did not move and were against the wall making it difficult to shower. The trails were easy and well marked. They have an Inn and Restaurant across the street from the camping area. Hours of the restaurant were limited during the week - 11-2. We were there before Memorial Day weekend so they may change. The pool was also closed the week before Memorial Day but looked very nice and refreshing. Nashville is about an hour from the park and Jack Daniel's Distillery was about 45 minutes away. - MarcyB

We really like Henry Horton. We stay here every year right after school lets out. The camp hosts are always very friendly and approachable! They were super-willing to help out any time. The sites are all very shaded and spacious. Especially 13-25. They are all on asphalt. The bathhouses are very well kept and up to date. The camp store is small but is very well equipped with things a camper may have forgotten...or trinkets a camper might want for fun. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The trails are nice and easy to take. Deer and turkey are everywhere. - Tennessee Teacher Camper

This is a quiet out of the way park.. But not quite what I expected. The website made it look like a busy equestrian park.. I expected to see campers with horses.. but there were none. It's a good idea but wasn't working. This place was just okay.. No cable, no over the air tv, no Sat tv because of the overhead trees. If you are going to Columbia, TN I would not stay again as it was to far away. On the web site I should have noticed the following: "Photos are indicative of the area, not necessarily what you will see at the park." and "Large graveled semi-level lots." What the website didn't show is exactly what this place is like. I felt safe in this out of the way park but other than that.. I can't say anything else. - Dom A.
Mar 2018 - $30.00
This is an old campground. A lot of mud. 100% monthly rentals. Open year round. Pool has not worked in years and appears to be no plans to fix it. Quiet. Pretty setting in trees. Unfortunately almost impossible to get a site. Very high demand so looooong waiting list. Sites are spacious. Stayed two months. - traveler7576
Aug 2016 - $30.00
More of a trailer park than a RV resort. Stayed in August and pool was being repaired and had been for months. Water pressure is poor, can't take a shower if your neighbor is. Playground is from the 70's and no entertainment. Not even during Mule Week. Staff was friendly. Neighbors watch every move so nothing will be stolen. - Dyna
May 2016 - $30.00
Wow, this campground has gone through many positive changes this year. Very clean and well maintained grounds. Bathrooms always kept fresh. Only clean, mostly brand new high dollar rigs here. Look forward to seeing this place progress and improve even further. Staff was friendly and had their stuff together. Will be returning soon. - Rv fan
Jul 2019 - $39.00
The drive to the park is interesting. Signage is poor. We camped next to the lake in a pull through. We tried two sites and took the one that was more level. Electric and water good the staff was wonderful. - workcamper64

We were able to book a waterfront site at Cedar Point CG on Normandy Lake in TN. The site was indeed on the water with a beautiful view..the lake being only about 75 feet from the camping site. Pluses: 1. All sites we saw are gravel and pull thru of the "swing around to the right" type. 2. New electric pedestals and new looking water spigots 3. Clean & easy access dump station with a nice wash out hose at station, & the station was LOW, making dumping easy and the hose had a cut off valve, making washing up very simple. 4. A bath house was reasonably close to the sites [<100 yds] 5. Very attentive & pleasant staff 6. lots of old shade trees for most of the sites, especially along the waterfront. Minuses: 1. We found 3 fairly large piles of dog poop in our site ,near the picnic table, when we pulled in 2. The quality of the lake water was below par for what we had been led to expect... a lot of red muddy water near shore, even in the roped-off "swimming area" where we found the beach sand about 50% red mud. We elected not to go swimming, tho it was a hot day. 3. The campground bath house had only one toilet [for the mens], and a urinal. My wife said there were two toilets for the ladies. The bath house had only one shower stall for the mens and one for the ladies, which were old and in poor condition. 4. the old showers were the terrible "push button" type which only stayed on for about 30 seconds per push and there was no hot water when we went to shower around 10pm. No exhaust fans, lots of biting bugs and mud on the bathouse floors made using the bathouses a pain. 5. The cost was high..we had to pay $38 for one night..which was $10 more per night than we paid at a FL State Park, with great beaches & amenities. - Fred762
Jul 2019 - $36.00
First time to stay here but for sure not the last. We had a long gravel site that was fairly level. All hook-ups were placed in good locations for us. Cable had a limit amount of channels but we were visiting family anyway. The Wi-Fi was better that most places we stay so very positive. We will return in the near future. - bigdaddy and bigmama
Jun 2019 - $35.00
Nice campground right off the interstate. There was road noise but not too bad inside RV. Layout was good. We didn't have neighbors during our stay but I could see where it would've been a bit cumbersome. Pleasant people and nice doggie area. Very well maintained. Only downside was the check-in took wayyyyy too long. Not fun when you've been on the road all day long. Take note: DO NOT park on the grass, walk on the grass, lay a rug on the grass, sit a chair on the grass. STAY OFF the grass. Or the camp Po Po will come for you. - freedmskr

We enjoy this park and stay here anytime we are in the area to visit friends and family. - you-me-thedog-andcat
Aug 2019 - $32.00
Friendly staff, clean pool area and play ground. The campground seems to be a majority of permanent campers. The sites are gravel and somewhat level, however, very tight, when your slide is out, close to your neighbor. We chose this campground due to location being close to our travel sports team event. It would not be a destination spot for a week, but we would definitely stay again 1-2 nights should we have another event in Smyrna. - BTR007
Jul 2019 - $68.00
This place was an absolute nightmare. The site was not even close to level. It was so unlevel that even though we chocked our trailer wheels, when the trailer unhooked from our vehicle it rolled forward bending our brand new quick jack. The site also wasn't long enough for our 30ft trailer and tow vehicle. Our neighbor was parked right in front of where our trailer door opened, because they also didn't have enough room. Lots of shirtless old men lounging around. Pet area is not fenced in. Way overpriced and I would never stay here again. - Parents of Malamutes
Jul 2019 - $32.00
Campground looked to be 3/4 permanent residents in run down trailers. While staff was nice enough, site was very small. Also, they dug right next to our site trying to fix a water issue. Definitely not a resort. Might use again if only needed a 1-night stay. - DebGA
Aug 2019 - $31.00
Given a large fantastic pull-through site (1 of 70) on the waterfront (1 of 11) when we pulled up without reservations for the night. Mostly seasonal occupants with elaborate temporary camp set-ups (large canopies, pontoon boats, bass boats, grills, golf carts etc.). Showers are all tiled and clean. Lake front was clean with a great blue heron stalking back and forth in front of us. Nice sandy swimming beach. Would definitely stay here again. - Appleknocker
Oct 2017 - $73.00
We needed a place to stay for one night, but had to pay for two nights. We understood that coming in, so this is not a complaint. Our campsite overlooked the lake that was lovely. Our site was oddly shaped, so that we had to park right next to the road in order to reach the utilities. We had a huge amount of space that we would have liked to have used to get away from folks driving on the road. The campsite across from us had a motor home, 3 cars, 2 trucks, a boat on a trailer, and a golf cart parked along the side of the road. This meant that vehicles driving through swerved to our side of the road. - ShoreXplorers
Aug 2017 - $29.00
Stayed here two nights. Exit 105 on I-24 and take signs to Normandy Dam. Check-in is easy and camp hosts are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Paved interior roads easy to navigate and gravel sites. Our site PT faced the water with partial shade and is not level but manageable. Water and electric worked well. Zero (ATT) reception. A lot of green space with oak trees and pines to walk your dog. Most sites are occupied by locals with trailers and 5th wheels that reserve for thru the summer season. Very elaborate setups with canopies, outdoor furniture, smokers, etc. Everything is neat and clean. Boats are available thru the CG and locals bring their boats and park them on the shoreline. Great place to get away from everything. - RTM

My family and I have been here for a year while we've been waiting on my husband's transfer. I hate to leave because we've had such a good experience here. The owners have only been here for a couple of years, but they've been making improvements. There is a playground, clean pool, large field for playing in, and the owners live on the property and are always available. We keep to ourselves and don't require a lot, and we've never had a problem here. For instance, on Christmas Eve, the owner brought all the last minute packages we got (and there were MANY), during a storm, and he had the best attitude. They always offer to help, and I've never seen a bad attitude in the staff. The place is still improving, and I know it's just going to get nicer each year. It isn't fancy and big, but for a place to stay or live for a while (if you aren't needing anything more than a place to stay) it's great and has all the necessities. There are bathrooms, showers, and a dumpster that's easy to get to. if we come back here to TN again, we'll stay here. There is a mix of full time and overnighters. - akwright04
Jun 2018 - $54.00
Campsite in front of us had a truck with a flat tire and another car that looked like it had not been started in years! Other sites were run down and surrounded by dead plants. While there were a few newer campers most sites looked really "lived in." Thought it might be ok after the lady at the KOA recommended this place to me after I could not get a site there. I even talked to the manager here before I book and questioned him about some of the poor reviews. He assured me improvements had been made and those bad reviews were from people that had been asked to leave. Our site was not very level but we did finally get our RV leveled. We were able to get our slides out but unable to get our awning out due to site being so narrow. An old grill was left on our site. Should also have turned around and left when I saw the disarray of the office. It was just horrible. Thankfully only staying here one night. Will not be returning here!! Gave it 2 stars because it at least had full hookups. - Beth Cornwell
Jun 2017 - $35.00
Perfect for an overnight stay. Off the interstate under the trees, level sites. Welcome rest spot after a long day on the road. I read earlier reviews and it seems they were taken to heart. Pikes of gravel are being worked into the sites, restrooms looked recently painted. Pool was busy. They were having a family reunion and those folks seemed pleased. Sites are very long. - Champ203
