This park was in disrepair and trashy. It was an emergency stop and we had no other place to go. I would not return. There was trash and the restrooms closed. There was nothing good about this park and it should not be allowed to operate under the condition it is in. It was very hot out and we were having problems with our generator and needed electrical hook up or we would have not stayed there. Too many burrs and the dogs got them in their paws. What a scary place to stay. - ranchlady

This was an overnight stop for us. The pluses for this campground are that they are close to "Cattleman's Steakhouse", and the full hookups that work for $25. But, I think $25 is too much for this park. The bathhouses are closed, the grounds have trash all over, sites are narrow, and Wi-Fi does not work at campsites. There are only 5 campsites with 50 amp power. The rest have 30 amp and all but one of those sites are taken up with permanent residents that don't need 50 amp. I am being generous with a 2 rating. Walking a long haired dog in this park is a challenge because of the burrs. This park has seen better days. - RV4fun15
Nov 2009 - $25.00
This was the worst park that we have stayed in in a long time. The showers were dirty, no hot water in the womens shower and only warm in the mens. There were picker all over the ground ,so you could not even walk outside. We will never stay there again and advise everyone else not to stay there. - ironworker025
Jan 2019 - $42.00
The park has a lot of permanent residents which effectively makes the wifi useless (poor signal and very heavy network volume). I wish I would have kept driving. The park is safe and clean but very noisy as it is next to a busy freeway exchange. For the price I expected more. - WITeardropper
Dec 2018 - $40.00
It's a cluttered looking RV park with a lot of highway noise. The cable did not work at all and wifi was marginal, it kept cutting out all the time. Next time I would look for a different place, but if you need overnight, this will do. - Louis Rychtarik
Nov 2018 - $45.00
This park really does not deserve the 9.5 rating that Good Sam gives it. It is full of what looks to be long term folks, which is not always bad, but unfortunately most of these units are not kept up very well. From our site we have a view of big metal shipping cartons and the freeway. Our site is nothing but dirt and there are no trees. Sites are a decent size. Also quite noisy from the freeway. Very disappointed. - Hgtyd
Jan 2019 - $30.00
This is primarily a mobile home park in a not so good section of town. I had difficulty using power as there is no breaker on the box. The management person finally got power to it using a breaker box a couple of sites down from where I was at. No sewer and no dump station apparent. - Michael_T
Jan 2017 - $26.00
Stayed one night while passing through El Paso, rate was $26.00 - no discounts offered. Several of the previous reviews I believe are for "Mission RV Park" a different non-related park in El Paso. This facility is a very basic 60's style park located in a mobile home park. There are no amenities, no pool as previously discussed and we did not find any showers. The electrical hook-ups are very close to the ground and do not have a circuit breaker to turn off the power. The interior streets are paved and have lots of speed bumps. This park is located in an older part of town. Within a few miles we found the landscape to change to a more current and updated retail environment. Beware - if you are troubled by noise, this park is close to railroad tracks and a train whistle can be heard throughout the night. The sites were large enough for our 35' MH with patio space and parking for our toad. The management was very friendly and helpful. As we only require basic services when we travel, we would stay here again for the value. - ECM1
May 2015 - $21.00
Stopped here for a one night stay as we were passing through. It is on the west outskirts of El Paso. There has been some road improvements lately so it's kind of a weird way to get there if you follow your GPS.
Gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. He was a fountain of information for things to do in El Paso.
The campground itself is mostly gravel, both pull through and back in sites are available. Level sites, neat and clean. Bath/shower houses were clean as well.
They do have any indoor pool and laundry, both of which we did not utilize. They also have a small dog run.
It is close to the highway, but with the heat and the air conditioner running constantly we did not notice it. - Kgtraveler
Dec 2018 - $40.00
We stayed at Roadrunner for the Christmas holidays while visiting family close by. Roadrunner actually gave us the weekly rate because it was less than the daily. We will stay here each time we come into El Paso to visit family. You can still see part of the old unrenovated portion of the park (no one stays there). The remodelling job is superb. Pros: Friendly staff Clean sites Level sites Easy in/out to I-10 All pull through sites Cons: Sites are very, very close together. No shade at all for the summer months No picnic tables at the sites (see too close together) - Robert Dunaway
Jan 2018 - $26.00
I stayed here for two weeks. They were working on updating the park and had nice level gravel at all the sites with newer utility poles. The WiFi was great. The bathrooms were functional and clean but had not been updated yet. My rate is based on the weekly rate. There is no dog run but there was plenty of room for me to walk my dogs. The park is kind of in a residential area and it was very quiet. I was expecting a package the morning I was supposed to leave (was supposed to be guaranteed delivery by 10am) but of course there was a delay. The owners were very accommodating in telling me I could stay as late as I needed to while I tried to track down the package and when it would be delivered. My package ended up getting there about 3pm and they brought it to my site as soon as they got it (I got the delivery notification and was just opening my door to go to the office and get it and he was just walking up to my space). I will definitly stay here again when I am in town. - Jen W
Jan 2018 - $1.00
We stayed for over two months and we were very happy with the park. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any needs that we had. The park is close to everything you need stores, movies and malls. The park is kept clean and they are still making improvements. We will stay here again when we come back to El Paso. - June Estrada
Oct 2013 - $30.00
We only stayed one night just passing through, but the campground was well maintained as far as we could tell. Would stay here again. Staff was courteous and the price was right! - Retired and Ready
Dec 2010 - $20.00
OK for a quick overnight but I wouldn't want to spend long. $20 is the normal rate. Lots of long term older units. Showers are an extra $5 per. - Valhalla360
May 2018 - $16.00
Our site was $16 per night plus $14 per day entrance fee...so netted $30 per night. The park is pretty wonderful. Yes, you must watch a video before entry, but it helps to put it into perspective what the land is all about. We took a guided tour that was only about 1.5 miles round trip. However, we climbed rocks (up to 400 ft in elevation according to the ranger that checked us in) to get to the cave to see some fabulous pictographs. My understanding of 'climbing rocks' was perhaps switch-backing up the mountain.....it wasn't. We actually climbed up rocks that put us in some physically demanding positions. A suggestion might be to outline the need for pretty good physical abilities to make this climb for those who are not familiar with rock climbing. The tour guides were very informative and helpful. There are also self guided tours that have chains/poles to help guide you up/down the mountain, but you kind of miss out on the history of the park without the guides. - locatjl
May 2018 - $15.00
Park is unique as it is limited to how many people may enter each day. You also have mandatory movie to see about the park. To get to the campground you must get out and open a gate. Sits were extremely nice, elec and water at each site. Great views. Park is out a bit from El Paso but you could drive in if needed. Park has many restricted trails that can only be visited with a docent or ranger. Several trails are open to the public. - Wandering
Nov 2017 - $12.00
This is a well maintained State Park and Historic Site, with helpful and friendly staff at check in. Interior roads are paved and big rig access is good. We had a very spacious, paved and level back in site, lots of privacy between the sites, space for our towed, and a lovely covered picnic table. The mountain views all around our motorhome were truly spectacular, and it was very quiet and peaceful day and night. All the bathrooms were very clean. The park has tight security and is very highly regulated. Gates are locked at 6pm and you have to be back in your site by 6pm, well worth it to protect this wonderful and unique Park. Pet friendly with restrictions, they are allowed in the campground but not on trails. Wifi was poor and AT&T marginal. We would stay here again, but it's too far from the main highways to be an overnighter, but perfect for a few days or more. - tobyjug
Dec 2018 - $17.00
Located in Northeast El Paso, TX. This is a model (top notch, well run) DoD FAMCAMP: modern, clean, and friendly staff. Ft Bliss senior leadership/MWR is doing this right. 60 foot pull-throughs with 50 amp power, water and sewer.
No reservations, first-come, first-served with stay limitations. When we arrived mid-day Monday, in mid-December 2018, there were initially ~ 10 spots available.
Immediately adjacent AAFES mini-mart and Subway sandwich shop with gas and diesel at good prices, with adequate maneuvering room for RVs and 5th Wheels. Is near freeway (noise), occasional high winds so those with slides be aware and have straps available to protect slide top-covers: to prevent billowing/de-spooling/snapback. - Azmilvets
Mar 2018 - $20.00
Nice facilities with pull through sites close to highway. Very loud traffic noise in the first few rows of park. Would stay here again. - boomerlee
Apr 2017 - $20.00
Sites are level and concrete with large patio and metal picnic bench. Lots of shade trees. Two nice dog parks but not enclosed. - SuenDave
