Big camp sights. New bath and showers. good cell and dish. - geo cong
Dec 2018 - $10.00
Staff were excellent and enthused. Grounds were superb. bathrooms and showers were new and therefore very clean! Sites were well situated and comfortable. The campground was quiet at night and one could see the stars for light years. Laundry needs some upkeep. I despise coming into laundries where the lids have not been cleaned for months. When looking down move the tub and you will notice lots of guck on the rim. Clean washer are a critical success factor for customer satisfaction. However, I have been to two Thousand Trails since purchasing my passes a month ago and they both had laundries that were less than satisfactory. We do our wash so the clothes are clean. The lids need to reflect the attention to detail necessary for customers to feel their clothes are clean. - michaelsutton

Beautiful park easy access off and on hwy. Just relaxed and enjoyed watching all of the deer. Staff was more than helpful also. Would stay again. - Lostit41

Nothing fancy, just a clean place to stay with mostly pull throughs, $20 PA. Clean laundry and toilets, albeit older. Wi-Fi was strong and good AT&T cell service. Highway noise was not an issue. - Syncro
Mar 2016 - $20.00
This place has a new owner who is very friendly. He has only owned it for eight months. He is obviously working hard to improve. New trees, electrical, road topping etc. Will be interesting to see how it works out. There is road noise, but it is a steady hum.
Lot spacing is nearby with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface is grass. - Tworetired
Oct 2015 - $20.00
Park needs some tender loving care. Sites very close together. Park was 95% full of oil field and railroad workers. All hook-ups worked, Very close to I-10 and road noise. Probably would not use again. - corky506

Oct 2017 - $30.00
Clean park, cleaning up after flood, small park, stayed one night, staff friendly. - Cursan1
Apr 2017 - $35.00
This is the unfriendliest, trashiest RV camp imaginable. Poor amenities: WiFi is horrible, men's bathroom is horrible, some of the hook-ups had problems like the cable line was bad, waited 3 days and no one showed up. I would go to the office and they said each day they would be down to fix it but would not show up to fix it. I finally got a neighbor to fix it. The park is run poorly, a lot of abandoned RV's that needed to be hauled off sitting around with stuff taken off or out of them. The place looked more like what some would call "trailer trash". The roads were once asphalt but are now mixed with gravel with a lot of potholes. The site's themselves are kind of flat, but where you would park had deep ruts in them where water would stand. The so called rec room is locked 24/7. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only good thing there was the pool. That's it in a nutshell. - freddiemer49
Feb 2017 - $30.00
This campground is right off I-10 and is easy off easy on for overnight camping. The campground is not large, but the laundramat was the biggest I have seen for a campground this size. Only stayed two nights as we were just passing through. - Inigomontoya

Very nice park. Big rig friendly. 85' sites, level, wide, and nice grass at the site. New owner working hard on improving the park. Paved roads and gravel sites. Hidden gem on I-10 between Houston and San Antonio. - HolyMackrelAndy
Mar 2018 - $34.00
Nice park with roomy, level sites. Management is great! Our pug enjoyed the Dog Park. I would highly recommend this RV Park. - CJVJn1Doug

That was 8 months ago so don't remember too much. A little freeway noise but we didn't hear it inside. Great laundry facilities. Friendly people. Dog friendly. - horseylady

Nov 2018 - $39.00
No WiFi signal in campground, must go to office area for signal. No cable. Treed area for backing ins. Waterpark is closed for seasons so I think it is over priced for grass /hard packed gravel sites. It had rained so water standing in many places and in gravel streets. This is a kids and family themed campground. Many ATVs driven about grounds at night.. grounds spotless and beautifully maintained. - Oooooooo
Sep 2017 - $75.00
We went to Splashway so that the kids could have one more outing before school started up again. This spot was easy to pull into and actually roomier than some of the other ones in the park. What was also nice was that we were only 60 yards from the entrance to the water park. (NOTE: Entrance to the water park was not included with the RV Camp Site) The kids had a blast. They were there from 10am to 6pm only coming out for lunch. Our only complaint was that the mosquitos were crazy around the dog park! Be sure to spray on some DEET before heading over there during the morning or evening. In closing, This is not my sort of RV site. I like them heavily wooded and ideally completely unable to see any neighbors. But, for some place a take a young family in the middle of a Texas summer... This place is hard to beat. - Warkog
Sep 2015 - $51.00
Personally I thought $50.82/night (Labor Day holiday with Ray Club discount) w/ a 3 night minimum was a little steep without offering cable or wifi. The park was nice. Sites were large. Staff was extremely friendly/helpful. I booked late so no shaded spots were available. Also, it costs $25.19 per person (with Ray Club discount) each day you want to use the water park. So basically It cost the 3 of us $90/day for the water park that closes at 6 PM. Again, family had a great time...I just keep comparing it to LoneStar Yogi in Walker, TX where you pay $7/$8 per day for water park...only thing Yogi doesn't have is wave pool. Unlike Yogi, we were able to bring our golf cart to Splashway so that was nice! - Soonermikel

Pronounced koo'-shetty. RV Park is located 6 miles outside Bellville, 5 miles out on Coushatte Rd and one mile on Nelius road. There is no playground or pool. No store in the office, but town is 6 miles away. There is a Brookshire Brothers supermarket in town that has pretty much anything you may have forgotten to bring in regard to groceries. We had a pull-through with full hook ups so we didn't have to unhook the trailer. There are several pull throughs by the office for short stays. They have oak trees and squirrels. They have gravel and sand driveways and gravel and grass pads with grass between the sites. They do not have have picnic tables, BBQ grills or fire rings. They have drop-in sewer connections. Water pressure was adequate. Electrical is 30 and 50 amps. There are a lot of long-term campers workers camping here. However; with over 400 sites, you can choose your spot and neighbors. There is no cable TV; only OTA channels are available, 110 digital channels and sub- channels with about half in Spanish. There is free, passworded WiFi that is pretty much worthless at times. You can connect to the local router, but it can't get out to the internet except every now and then. Verizon Wireless was 5 out of 5 bars; ATT wireless 2 out of 5 bars. You can pick up about 36 FM radio stations and about 20 AM radio stations depending on your radio. There are two trash dumpsters by the office and in other places around the park. There is no trash pick up; you walk it up yourself. There were flies and mosquitoes after 2 29-degree nights in November. - RVTravelerToo
Mar 2018 - $24.00
Great showers, very large-used them when I left. Stayed part of March and April '18-one month total. Awesome people run this place. They take care of the place and don't pester you..I loved it! Hassle free pricing WITH ELECTRICITY, simple. Propane on site-great price -same as COSTCO. Great location-far enough away from I-10 and rail roads - quiet, peaceful. Love the trees, had my choice of where I wanted to park-once I parked then I checked in. No hassles, no funny looks, no WTF are you doing-you're in my park-why didn't you check in first..just good a ole Welcome and once you get settled we're here for you! Grass parking, some spaces had trees and some without them. If you have satellite choose wisely. Larger rigs keep to near the office/bathrooms/meeting area...go around the lake-veer left of office THEN turn right-either right at the office or go past the grill/smoker at the meeting hall turn right. Use your common sense-if they had a map THERE'D be one. They easily have 450+ spaces. Just show up and stop whining about a map. Pay VERY CLOSE attention on how to get there-there's a load restricted bridge. Details are SPECIFIC and CLEAR on their website-The route keeps you on hardtop roads to the park. IF HOWEVER you are on gravel road-with a RV hooked to your rig you are on a road with a load restricted bridge. I suggest you stop, back up, pull your head out and LOOK at their website, then get to the right road to the campsite. Cars, trucks,mc's are okay on the bridge esp if you like dirt roads-just not trailers/5ths/A's, B's or C's. Have fun and enjoy chillin' out and watching' the stars at night. Bring CASH or CHECK - NO CREDIT CARDS. Best rate is monthly or best yet 6+ Month Lease . They do have Military disc for daily rate. - iameric

Great place for a rally, not much reason to go there other than that unless your looking for a inexpensive place to hang out for awhile. Owners are very friendly. - Dave Krobath

Apr 2018 - $29.00
Park could use some "freshening up". Grill rusted out. Site not cleaned before we arrived (the person before us cleaned fish on the dining table so lots of flies until we cleaned and sprayed). Water connection leaked so surrounding area wet the whole time. Toilet area stocked and relatively clean. Shower areas nice and big but could use some cleaning. Paths to lake and fishing area overgrown. They did empty garbage can each morning but that's about all. Didn't see much wildlife. Pretty small RV camping area. Would not return. - Greyghost Traveler
Mar 2016 - $25.00
The park is not policed after each camper. We found our site dirty and trash in the fire ring. The people working here are very unfriendly and do not seem to do anything.
The people across from us left and their fire was not completely put out and it began to smolder. The camp host drove by and did nothing, we went and put it out ourselves. Don't think we will return here. - Texan58
Apr 2015 - $26.00
Stayed one night the second weekend in April. The site was very level, had a picnic table, fire ring, grill and pole for hanging a light. The site was shady and clean but the bathrooms were not well maintained. - Texas_P_Pod

Jan 2019 - $20.00
Our second stay here. First was in 2014... so we did return. Not much has changed in those years. Same funky sewer connections at each pull through site (in the RV area). Same roads, same mowed lawns, same openings in the woods... and same deer? Eh, maybe not. Staff was friendly, easy to set up. One thing that is changing is the remote feel of this park. Shipping centers and warehouses are getting closer and closer as Houston and Katy expand westward. Soon, San Felipe will be swallowed up by the sprawling thing known as Houston. This state park will soon be an island of trees in an urban sea. Sad to see. We will camp here again as it is a convenient stop a day's travel from our home. - The Happy Traveler
Aug 2018 - $15.00
This is a nice little state park. All the RV/trailer sites are pull through and have full hookups. We love the hiking trails. They are not difficult, which is a relief since we have two elderly dogs and we, ourselves, are getting older. The one trail that goes along the Brazos River is off limits due to flooding but the rest is just fine. It is quiet, it has plenty of shade and for those who love to golf, there is a private golf course right next to it (not part of the park). If you just want a small, quiet area and plenty of walking, this is it! - Cirrus
Jul 2018 - $25.00
We stayed at this park overnight only on the way home from a trip we took in June. The park was so nice that we wanted to return, so we did. We stayed two nights in July. I would recommend a cooler time, but the extreme temperatures are not the fault of the park itself. The park features half-moon pull through sites. You get the benefits of a pull through and your camper door faces the wooded area. Sites are mostly shady, but they do get the full sun at times. All RV sites are full hook-up (water, electricity, and sewer). There is a concrete patio on one part of the site with an uncovered picnic table. Women's restrooms didn't look like they were used very much. They weren't clean, but they weren't horrible either. There were resident spiders in two of three stalls; showers had some dirt on the floor from another camper, and it had dried (meaning it had been awhile since the restroom was cleaned). Men's restrooms were very dirty (as reported by my husband, who isn't overly choosy). The park itself was clean. Sites had grass that was cut low, likely so that one could spot any slithery creatures that may or may not be venomous, and we greatly appreciated this. We did not see trash on the ground. Although we did not visit the playgrounds, they appeared to be in good working order. This park is rich in wildlife. We saw deer every day, and we saw deer during our last trip as well. We saw an armadillo running through our site as well. The animals are wild, but they do not appear bothered by our presence--except the deer to some extent. Deer seem to recognize that humans often come equipped with rifles, even though hunting is likely not permitted in the park. Park rangers are friendly, informative, and helpful. The San Felipe de Austin Museum, located outside of the park, is awesome. It opened recently, and it's a special treat if you have even the faintest appreciation for Texas history. - Amanda L
