The good: - well maintained park - great location for exploring DFW area - extremely nice people in the office - the deluxe and super deluxe sites are well spaced and very nice The bad: - entrance from Cooper street into the park is horrible for big rigs. Watch the turn in from Cooper Street with a big rig - very tight and you will have to either run over the curb with your rig's front' wheels or your rig's back wheels - no way around it. I don't see why the owners don't expand the entrance. - the standard sites are very tight (as with almost all KOA's) - horribly loud and obnoxious music coming from the neighbors to the RV park near. pretty much ruined our stay. - We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Couldn't ask for a better campground. Staff, grounds, pool, sites are great. I would have given it a "10" but we had a tree limb in the way of our awning and the median in the center of Cooper Street made entering and exiting a pain. We will stay here again. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We parked in a space which was supposed to be for a 60' RV. Our 42' Fifth Wheel barely fit and there was no place to park our truck except on the grass. The neighbor unit was so close. There was a water leak in a utility box on the curb side of the coach so that when we extended the steps, they sank in 6" of mud. The site is sloped such that my front levelers were at full extension. This is a place to park but it's not worth the money they charge. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed one night in 30 foot RV with tow. It was a little hard to get into. Also there was no left turn out of park. It was clean and quiet at night. WiFi not secure but we would go back. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Motorhome.

Stopped through on our way from Big Bend NP to Nashville. We’re not typically KOA’ers, but we needed a clean, nice stopover to recharge after being in the desert for a week. After reading the reviews, we decided to stop... So happy we did! This KOA exceeded all expectations. It’s super clean, bathrooms and showers are on-point, folks are really nice, the park is pretty (with great trees!) and excellent storm water drainage. A massive storm came through during the night... No flooding or water issues the next morning. Despite being on a main road, the park is secluded, safe and relatively quiet. We will absolutely stop here again. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I stayed at this park for 6 weeks, while waiting to leave the state. Staff was friendly and helpful. And you would never know you were in the middle of the city. Its another world once you pass those gates to the park. Lots of nice amenities. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We had difficulty seeing entrance in time to make turn. Had to drive past and turn around. Once inside, spacious registration area. Sites are close and short (33 ft. 5th wheel and F250 Crew cab). We did have a family with several dogs and they were quite vocal. Other than barking area was some what secluded with minimal road noise.

Great location in Arlington near great shopping. Also close to Ft. Worth and Dallas so plenty to do. The speed bumps are a pain. Several long term sites that were an eyesore. I will say the staff is very friendly. Wi-Fi - good signal; T-Mobile - 4 of 4 bars; Electric - no issues; Water - no issues; Sewer - no issues; Satellite - no issues. Overall Rating:

Fully functional little park, right in the middle of town. Sites are all gravel, with small grass next to them, but very level. The sewer hook up was all the way in the rear of the site. Lots of mature trees, but none interfered with our rig. Sites not large, and if there were more people it would feel cramped. We were just there for an overnight stop, so we didn't mind. The back portion has lots of long-term campers. They weren't too messy, but had that settled-in look. The bath house was being remodeled, but they had put nice enough temporary toilets and showers in place. Satellite good, cell service good. Fenced dog areas. Didn't check out the office, pool, wifi, or cable due to our short stay. One thing I didn't like was there seemed to be more trash than I like to see, especially in the creek that goes through the grounds. I saw plenty of big rigs also. For a convenient location right in town, it was great. Quiet, too. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Lots of trash in the ditches in this campground. Sites are very close together and if you show up after hours, make sure you know that next to the back door there is a bulletin board that holds your reservation information. Very hard to get into the campground with a bigger rig. It is close to amenities though as it's right in town. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Travel Trailer.

What other campers say about permanents is very true - that area can be cleaned up a lot. We were assigned #6 which was a deluxe site in the front row. This one site had the sewer/electric on the other side so you were supposed to go around a tight corner between two trees. The employee taking us to the site said he would direct and watch the sides -he didn't and it caused $2000 worth of damage to our truck from turning too tight. The manager said it was clearly our fault because we booked in as 25' - I showed her the receipt saying 33'. There were several pull-through sites that remained empty during our stay so not sure why they would risk that at our expense. Other than that the park was fine - very convenient to shopping and the interstate. Lots of shade; bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Wifi & cable worked fine and site was level with a nice patio, chairs and BBQ. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I never saw a staff member since the office is only open until 5:00 on Sundays and I arrived closer to 6:00. Very neat and well-maintained with lots of trees providing shade. Grass was so lush I almost couldn't find the sewer hook-up. Great dog park for both small and large dogs. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We booked this due to being between Dallas and Ft. Worth. There are many full timers here year long. That is ok. The Wifi does not work. You can be on it and it just stops and you have to start from scratch and re-log in. I asked at the office and they said,"it has been working fine...maybe many are on it?" We were situated by the pool which is nice for my children. The first night we were here the pool was very dirty but we needed to cool off as it was almost 100 degrees out. After that the pool has been cleaned. I have not personally used the rest rooms/showers but my family has said they are small and not many of them. Will use my camper's. The road are very close as are the campsites. Getting to the KOA is dangerous as it is a "one way" main drag and we needed to go up several blocks with the camper and do a U turn to be able to turn into the KOA. Not KOA's fault just the location. The gate is locked after hours which is safe. The gate is a bit tight pulling the camper through but don't think much can be done about that. Everyone here, however, has been super friendly: workers and visitors/occupants. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

In Dallas: Where JFK was assassinated. In Ft. Worth, need to see the Old Stockyards and the world's only cattle drive which takes place twice daily at 11:30 am and 4:00. We did the 4:00 but it was VERY hot. A bit touristy too. People drive REALLY fast around here so just be warned too.

Rules are definitely not enforced. Long-term residents are supposed to keep their site looking like they are not long-term. We were in the long term section and there was a dishwasher, dryer that was being used and an open trailer full of junk, plus at least two AC units in the yard. The spot behind them had animal skins hanging from their tree along with misc. junk underneath their trailer. I have photos that I hope I am allowed to post. Grass cutting is not a priority. Pool was brown for a few weeks before it was drained. The best part of this park is the location. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This campground was a little hard to rate. It is kind of 2 campgrounds in one. When we arrived the Deluxe site we reserved was not available because the previous person hurt his back and needed to stay another day. At check in they assigned us another site that we found out was not deluxe but was the same price as the deluxe. Kind of funny since the deluxe site had a cement patio and was quite a bit larger. The site we got we had to put our chair between our neighbors slide outs to site and watch TV. We decided that since we were here for 6 nights that this was not acceptable. The campground had just completed 6 super deluxe sites at the entrance to the campground which are about $25 dollars more per night but they are beautiful so we decided to move and pay the extra charge. As I said the sites are beautiful, large, have table and chairs, swing, great grill, fire pit, and patio. Problem is that they are right along the entrance road and since the campground has a large portion of full timers the traffic early in the morning and late afternoon is very loud. The other traffic noise comes from the highway near the entrance. On the other side of the entrance road are businesses that seem to repair cars so the pneumatic air guns are quite loud along with the music they play. Final note on noise is that there is a fracking operation very close to the entire campground that has it's water pump going 24/7. We setup our a/c to run at night at least until we could get to sleep. I guess you could tolerate the noise if you are here long term. The campground could be much cleaner if they imposed some ground rules on the long term campers. Many of the sites have lots of items stored all over them. WIFI and cable were very good. If you are looking for a campground between Ft. Worth and Dallas and can put up with the noise this is well placed. We would however probably try another campground if in the area again. We camped at Dallas / Arlington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
