Sunset is a nice looking park with trees, grass, and flowers. The Blue Bonnets were blooming when we were there. We never met or saw the owners. There was an envelope on door with instructions to our site and info about the park. The best way we found to communicate with them was by email. The park is mostly long term but the sites were all neat and tidy. The spacing between sites varied from very spacious to nearby. Our gravel site was plenty long enough for the motorhome and tow. It was level front to back but not side to side. Our DS wheels were just off the ground. Interior roads can be a little tight maneuvering in larger RVs but doable. The WII FI didn't work - we could connect but almost immediately kicked off. DirecTV worked fine in our site but it wouldn't be possible in all sites due to trees. Verizon was 4g 4-5 bars which was great as we used our hot spots to get on the internet. It is quiet at night but traffic noise starts up early on Hamilton Pool road and continues all day. The park is about 25 minutes to Austin. There is tons of traffic no matter what time of day. There is a mall about 10 minutes away. We truly enjoyed Austin. We expected another flat, dry Texas town but Austin is the opposite. A very nice surprise! There are no lack of restaurants to choose from - we fit in as many as we could. There are also lots of parks around and opportunities to get on the water abound. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed 3 nights and the stay was attentive and courteous. They were fantastic. Site was level and paved. Most other were level too. Very pretty surroundings. Would definitely stay here again. Only 20 miles to downtown Austin and in quiet hill country. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a NICE CG. It's got plenty of space between sites and most sites are of a good size. The park is very well groomed with good roads grass, trees and good utility placement. My only complaints are they don't provide cable and don't allow fencing. We have a metal fence we like to set up and put our chairs in and let our dog have some "free" time while we enjoy the outdoors. And "no", we never leave her unattended outside. My site is a pull-thru and is plenty long but the pavement is a bit narrow, to do over I would ask for a back-in, they all look much wider and are mostly gravel. Most folks here are full-timers but everyone's site is kept tidy. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

It's Austin, go eat bar-b-q. County Line: it's good but not great like it used to be. Franklin's: supposed to be great but the line was massive so we gave it a miss.

Very, very quiet, big trees, easy access to sites. Ours was a back-in site, great internet service, nice folks in permanent spots, very helpful, owner was very friendly and helpful. Next to Bee Cave, Texas, nice town, plenty of restaurants, gas and stuff to see. This park is close to Austin, very busy hwy, but folks in Austin drive pretty nice compared to the loonies here in Midland, Tx. Big showers and bathrooms with security locks both into and inside. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Needed one night while attending a wedding in the area. This is a small park and fills up quickly; because we only needed one night (Friday), the person taking our reservation was hesitant because of weekenders. But, since we called a couple of months in advance we were given a site. So, thanks for that. Were told we'd have a pull-through site but when we arrived, we were assigned a back-in. Arrived early afternoon and no office staff on site but they had our information ready for us in an envelope. The inner street is paved; the majority of sites are not. Lots of oak trees. We had site 8, which was very shaded and the trees allowed more space between us and other trailers. The site was gravel and was not level so used leveling blocks. The park was quiet; however, Hamilton Pool Road is very busy so you can hear road noise. Park well kept. Close to shopping, restaurants, etc. THE BEST WIFI of any park we've ever stayed in! Ever. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Motorhome.

One of the best rv parks we've stayed yet. Clean and quiet. Wifi was outstanding. The laundry was immaculate and, although we never investigated, I'm sure the showers were as well. Only thing missing was a dog run. Most sites are occupied by permanent or seasonal, but not ratty like trailer park residents. Owners aren't there much, but they bend over backward to take care of you. If we ever have a reason to return to Austin, this place will be at the top of the list. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Sort of in the country, but just a quick jaunt across Bee Caves Rd. to Austin. Or, about 12 mi. south to Dripping Springs.

Great people giving you that special Texas feeling of hospitality. It's really convenient to all kinds of places near and around Austin. Quiet, with a country feeling. Only complaint would be the Internet could be stronger, but otherwise we love it. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a solid RV park with a few drawbacks. Turning in off the Hamilton Pool Rd is a little tricky simply because the traffic is fairly heavy. I would recommend better visibility for their signing. Our site was a bit uneven, causing one of our front wheels to be off the ground. Not a serious problem for a 3 day stay. The restroom/shower is clean and okay but not handicapped equipped. There are several tighter turns, got half way a turn and had to stop and unhook our toad.

One of the other reviewers mentioned the host - he is a real bright spot for any RVer. Accommodating and eager to help in anyway he could. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Had a lovely asphalt pull through site, with large grass area and new round picnic table under a shade tree. Lots of room on the pad to serve as a large patio area. Really could get comfortable, all hookups worked great, and the wireless was outstanding.

The most gracious host you could imagine. There are mostly long term rentals, but the park is meticulously kept up, quiet and clean.

Short drive into Bee Cave for shopping, and lots to do in the area. We highly recommend. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Motorhome.

What a gem! This is in the hills of Austin. Sites are level gravel or asphalt. Some are pull-thru; some are back-in. Ours was pull-thru. All sites are large. WIFI worked well. Service was outstanding. It's near a road, but our site was back aways so we heard no road noise. Sunsets are beautiful. There are a number of long-term residents but rigs are upscale and well maintained. Park, laundry, and restrooms are very clean and nice. Propane is available. We enjoyed it so much we ended up extending our stay. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for 2 weeks prior to Christmas. Small campground, semi-spacious sites. Lots of full-time residents here living in RVs. Very clean restrooms with showers, great laundry room. Excellent maintenance man who helped us with our every request. Located off of a 2 lane road which was very busy, so lots of traffic by day but very quiet at night. Enjoyed our stay here immensely. We stayed here for over a week. This is a no-frills park: no rec hall, no dances, no pool etc. Nevertheless we felt this was great park; large sites, easy access, level etc. Some shaded. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Austin offers some visitor attractions plus easy access to the "Texas hill country"; which is more attractive than most of Texas. I am birder and the birding in the park and in the nearby National Wildlife Refuge are good.

We stayed here because it is so close to Star Hill Ranch. It is a nice Park with very nice, and helpful management. There was an attendant that took us to our space. That really means a lot after arriving at any park hot and tired. The spaces aren't paved, but are gravel and level. The trees and bushes are trimmed so as to get Satellite and not scratch your rig trying to park. The attendant even helped us unhook our toad. That means a lot! The Texas Hill Country is so pretty. LBJ ' s Ranch and birth place was very interesting. Also, Verde's restaurant and Carmela's were with 3 miles. Great places to eat. Heads up - it's 20 miles to the nearest Walmart. We would definitely camp here again. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice park but sites are a little difficult to park in. Trees need to be cut because one branch was so low that it cut the top of our camper and we needed to pay a lot of money for repairs. We camped at Sunset RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
