Feb 2019 - $45.00
Stayed overnight at this park. Several long term residence but have nice pull thru's of short term guests. We found the staff nice and helpful. The spaces are spaced nice, and long. The interior roads are good except for the speed bumps. We would stay again when in the area. - JDR
Dec 2018 - $38.00
Pros: Convenient to I10, Nice location outside of the city, Excellent staff and service, level sites, good utilities. Cons: Gravel sites, wifi never worked, LOTS of road noise, lots of full-timers, low appeal to overall site. We stayed for a few nights while visiting family and it was fine, but we would only stay here again if there were no other options or for a single overnight stay. - PBW
Dec 2018 - $40.00
This park is in a very rough part of town along side the I-10 and next to a very low cost run down hotel. Check was quick and helpful with no escort to site. Roads and sites are sharp rocks with 1/2 mph speed bumps which makes leveling not easy, I-10 runs along side so lots of noise all night. FHU's worked well no problems. Beautiful pond to walk around but no dog park, leash laws are strictly enforced with $5 fine and the city of Brookshire has $500 leash fine. Large rock roads make walking difficult, I will not return. - Tahoetom

Jan 2019 - $20.00
Our second stay here. First was in 2014... so we did return. Not much has changed in those years. Same funky sewer connections at each pull through site (in the RV area). Same roads, same mowed lawns, same openings in the woods... and same deer? Eh, maybe not. Staff was friendly, easy to set up. One thing that is changing is the remote feel of this park. Shipping centers and warehouses are getting closer and closer as Houston and Katy expand westward. Soon, San Felipe will be swallowed up by the sprawling thing known as Houston. This state park will soon be an island of trees in an urban sea. Sad to see. We will camp here again as it is a convenient stop a day's travel from our home. - The Happy Traveler
Aug 2018 - $15.00
This is a nice little state park. All the RV/trailer sites are pull through and have full hookups. We love the hiking trails. They are not difficult, which is a relief since we have two elderly dogs and we, ourselves, are getting older. The one trail that goes along the Brazos River is off limits due to flooding but the rest is just fine. It is quiet, it has plenty of shade and for those who love to golf, there is a private golf course right next to it (not part of the park). If you just want a small, quiet area and plenty of walking, this is it! - Cirrus
Jul 2018 - $25.00
We stayed at this park overnight only on the way home from a trip we took in June. The park was so nice that we wanted to return, so we did. We stayed two nights in July. I would recommend a cooler time, but the extreme temperatures are not the fault of the park itself. The park features half-moon pull through sites. You get the benefits of a pull through and your camper door faces the wooded area. Sites are mostly shady, but they do get the full sun at times. All RV sites are full hook-up (water, electricity, and sewer). There is a concrete patio on one part of the site with an uncovered picnic table. Women's restrooms didn't look like they were used very much. They weren't clean, but they weren't horrible either. There were resident spiders in two of three stalls; showers had some dirt on the floor from another camper, and it had dried (meaning it had been awhile since the restroom was cleaned). Men's restrooms were very dirty (as reported by my husband, who isn't overly choosy). The park itself was clean. Sites had grass that was cut low, likely so that one could spot any slithery creatures that may or may not be venomous, and we greatly appreciated this. We did not see trash on the ground. Although we did not visit the playgrounds, they appeared to be in good working order. This park is rich in wildlife. We saw deer every day, and we saw deer during our last trip as well. We saw an armadillo running through our site as well. The animals are wild, but they do not appear bothered by our presence--except the deer to some extent. Deer seem to recognize that humans often come equipped with rifles, even though hunting is likely not permitted in the park. Park rangers are friendly, informative, and helpful. The San Felipe de Austin Museum, located outside of the park, is awesome. It opened recently, and it's a special treat if you have even the faintest appreciation for Texas history. - Amanda L

Apr 2017 - $20.00
The Katy Elks Lodge is located 1/4 mile north of I-10, so access is easy, although the turn from Katy Fort Bend Rd at the Lodge entrance is a little tight. There are four sites available at the rear of the lodge. 30/50E&W is available at the rear of the sites. On the day I arrived three of the sites were in use by rigs that appeared to have been there for a while. The lodge opens at 5pm and reservations are not taken, so a call ahead is advised. There is space available for dry camping should the sites be full. The lodge is very active and friendly. They are planning to add more sites with sewer hookups in the future. We stayed one night. - 15243

Nov 2018 - $24.00
Pronounced koo'-shetty. RV Park is located 6 miles outside Bellville, 5 miles out on Coushatte Rd and one mile on Nelius road. There is no playground or pool. No store in the office, but town is 6 miles away. There is a Brookshire Brothers supermarket in town that has pretty much anything you may have forgotten to bring in regard to groceries. We had a pull-through with full hook ups so we didn't have to unhook the trailer. There are several pull throughs by the office for short stays. They have oak trees and squirrels. They have gravel and sand driveways and gravel and grass pads with grass between the sites. They do not have have picnic tables, BBQ grills or fire rings. They have drop-in sewer connections. Water pressure was adequate. Electrical is 30 and 50 amps. There are a lot of long-term campers workers camping here. However; with over 400 sites, you can choose your spot and neighbors. There is no cable TV; only OTA channels are available, 110 digital channels and sub- channels with about half in Spanish. There is free, passworded WiFi that is pretty much worthless at times. You can connect to the local router, but it can't get out to the internet except every now and then. Verizon Wireless was 5 out of 5 bars; ATT wireless 2 out of 5 bars. You can pick up about 36 FM radio stations and about 20 AM radio stations depending on your radio. There are two trash dumpsters by the office and in other places around the park. There is no trash pick up; you walk it up yourself. There were flies and mosquitoes after 2 29-degree nights in November. - RVTravelerToo
Mar 2018 - $24.00
Great showers, very large-used them when I left. Stayed part of March and April '18-one month total. Awesome people run this place. They take care of the place and don't pester you..I loved it! Hassle free pricing WITH ELECTRICITY, simple. Propane on site-great price -same as COSTCO. Great location-far enough away from I-10 and rail roads - quiet, peaceful. Love the trees, had my choice of where I wanted to park-once I parked then I checked in. No hassles, no funny looks, no WTF are you doing-you're in my park-why didn't you check in first..just good a ole Welcome and once you get settled we're here for you! Grass parking, some spaces had trees and some without them. If you have satellite choose wisely. Larger rigs keep to near the office/bathrooms/meeting area...go around the lake-veer left of office THEN turn right-either right at the office or go past the grill/smoker at the meeting hall turn right. Use your common sense-if they had a map THERE'D be one. They easily have 450+ spaces. Just show up and stop whining about a map. Pay VERY CLOSE attention on how to get there-there's a load restricted bridge. Details are SPECIFIC and CLEAR on their website-The route keeps you on hardtop roads to the park. IF HOWEVER you are on gravel road-with a RV hooked to your rig you are on a road with a load restricted bridge. I suggest you stop, back up, pull your head out and LOOK at their website, then get to the right road to the campsite. Cars, trucks,mc's are okay on the bridge esp if you like dirt roads-just not trailers/5ths/A's, B's or C's. Have fun and enjoy chillin' out and watching' the stars at night. Bring CASH or CHECK - NO CREDIT CARDS. Best rate is monthly or best yet 6+ Month Lease . They do have Military disc for daily rate. - iameric

Great place for a rally, not much reason to go there other than that unless your looking for a inexpensive place to hang out for awhile. Owners are very friendly. - Dave Krobath

Aug 2018 - $59.00
Great park for kids, lots for them to do. With school being out it was very crowded, especially the weekends. Staff was great and very helpful. Some of the water slides were shut down during certain times of the day because of staffing shortage. Only one of the large slides were open at a time all week. The staff took turns opening one for a few hours then the other, which we didn't like. The lazy river was overrun with kids being very wild during the weekend, but it was fine during the week. Kids loved the train ride, golf cart parade and all the activities-so many we couldn't do them all. We got a premium site and it was large and had plenty of room. We would return to this park, kids had a great time. Summer weekends this park is packed. - mrkd
Jul 2018 - $83.00
The rate of $83.25 per night includes arm bands for three people and our campsite fee for a Sunday through Thursday stay. We stayed in site #90, a preferred pull-through. We liked our site. We found it to be a bit more spacious than others. It had a view of horseshoe lake and was still close to the pools. It was very close to the activity center, play ground, and one of the laundry rooms. My family members were in site #91, and people kept driving golf carts through their site since it was larger and on the end. I don't know if they thought it was a public access or were just being rude, but it made us concerned for the safety of our children so we blocked the path with our trucks. We would book our spot of #90 again, but will remember that #91 won't work for us. The restrooms needed to be cleaned more often, but they weren't horrible. You could tell they were cleaned regularly, but it is a campground with water features, so a shower or toilet area gets dirty after one or two people use them. Our kids loved the pools and activities, especially candy bar bingo. Our little one liked the playground and the Jellystone Express train. Older one liked the movies they play at night on the big screen outside. Employees are very nice and helpful, particularly the ones working in the ranger station store. They are great about enforcing their rules here, which we appreciate. It keeps the little ones safe if people are required to drive within speed limits and control their anger. This park is very family friendly. They do serve food at their food bar by the pool, but we brought our own. It saves money, and we prefer our familiar food anyway. You can spend a lot of extra money here if you want to, but you don't have to. We bought a t-shirt for each of the kids and some refrigerator magnets. Some people rent golf carts; we rode our bikes. Mosquitoes were not a problem. We plan to return, and we recommend it. - Amanda L
Aug 2017 - $70.00
The park's water features are fairly nice and offer a variety of options for children from 2 - adult. However, we noted black algae growing in the entrance of the lazy river and the bathrooms were totally nasty. The camping/cabin facilities are awful. The roads are too narrow and bumpy, there is absolutely no signage instructing ways to enter or exit the park, the RV sites are mostly dirt and not maintained and all the sites are too closely spaced. They advertise that they accommodate big rigs, but the roads are almost too narrow for big rigs to navigate. When the park is fully occupied, there is no room on the roads for big rigs to move through the park. I am surprised they are allowed to associate themselves with Jellystone Parks. They fall well below the Jellystone Parks standard and are not worth the premium price they charge. - PBW

Oct 2018 - $40.00
Tricky to find; long driveway alongside storage facility. Our camp packet was at the coded entry (office is closed on Sundays). Lots of residents, but nice resort feel with walking path around the central lake; rocking chairs next to gas fire pit is a nice touch behind clubhouse/laundry. Sites are level. Even though ours was pull-through, we still had to disconnect toad. We'd stay here again. - Txgranni
Aug 2018 - $29.00
Full hookups, AT&T good, open sky for satellite. Parked on concrete. Better signage from street is needed, very nice staff, nice lake too. - walt662001
Jun 2018 - $49.00
A lot of full time residents. Although the park was paved, the maneuvering area is tight ... this is because most sites are 90 degree backins, so jackknifing was necessary. There is a nice area to walk around the centrally located man made pond/lake. - Ron N Janice

Jan 2019 - $27.00
We stayed here for a month which allowed us to pay a monthly rate instead of a daily rate which is why the nightly rate came out to be on $27. This is a very clean and will organized facility. A private lake and close to grocery stores and resturants. We will stay here again. - Mnolasco
Jun 2018 - $48.00
We stayed in a pull-through while traveling though Houston and didn't use any of the facilities. Appears to be mostly permanent residents although the lots were all neat and tidy. It is a very clean park. All concrete roads and pads with some grass at each site. Nice place to walk the dogs just outside the gate and they have a dog wash if you need it. It is behind the Uhaul storage place. It's about four miles off I-10 and there were some trees along Baker Cypress Rd that gave us a little brush that we didn't like. Pricey for an overnight but we needed electric because it is so hot. - thekites
Mar 2018 - $43.00
This park is AWESOME. All paved roads, paved sites, very professionally run. Paved patio space with picnic table. Very conveniently located to lots of shopping and restaurants. Excellent dog park. The laundry is of professional grade, and clubhouse was beautiful. Pool tables free popcorn...while you do the laundry... Never stayed at a more delightful place. grounds very well maintained. Stainless steel dog wash station, air station to pump up bike tires, propane on site,, reasonably priced. - Wanda Page

This is not a vacation campground. This is a "functional" RV park for those looking for long term stays. Mostly working folks or long term residents. Wifi, Power and water included in rates. Access to laundry facilities a plus. Great People. - MSSTEPMOM
Oct 2012 - $35.00
Mostly permanent residents with some campers and sites in dirty condition. There are trees but some make entering site very hard. Not a good place for large rigs. Campground grounds are not well kept. Sites are very close and one side of campground is very hard to drive into to occupy site with no outlet sign and no turn around. - dagopapa
Sep 2012 - $35.00
Most residents are long term. I called this campground by mistake because I wrote down their phone number instead of the one I intended to call. The manager stated that they do not take reservations, but then proceeded to take my information and let me know we would be expected. Access is good and our site was level. There is no disconnect for the 50A electrical outlet - I don't like connecting/disconnecting "hot". Previous reviewers indicated no shade, but some sites are partly shaded. Also, a previous reviewer indicated no big rig access. We had no trouble with a 40 ft. coach and many sites would accommodate any big rig. My only issue is that this is not a $35 per day park. - 2005-Fulltimers

The park roads are terrible, deep pot holes along the main entrance. People drive on the grass. Campers are allowed to have house furniture in the camp area and garbage on campers' sites. Overall run down. - Nenajean
Mar 2017 - $30.00
This is a basic, no-frills RV Park, just off busy Hwy. 290 (some road noise). Gravel interior roads, gravel & grass sites. No shade, no picnic table, concrete slab, grill or fire pit. Good antenna TV reception, plenty of grass to walk my dogs, and clean restrooms & laundry area. We would stay here again. - FranM
Oct 2016 - $32.00
Plain Jane isn't always bad. Park is off the highway enough for quiet. Easy pull through spaces on gravel. No dhade yet. Small trees. All hookups except cable but I got over a dozen channels with my power boosted antennae. Reasonable rules. Large laundry and rec hall. No ice machine. - TX Sr
