We camped in the newer section. The trees are too little to provide shade but the sites are awesome. It is a pricey park but for a weekend with the kids, it is awesome. Don't get the breakfast buffet. It is what you would normally get for free at a motel and is not worth the price. Candy Bar Bingo is great fun and the waterpark is nice. The fish are pretty easy to catch with some hot dog on your hook. Paint ball is pretty good also. It is a fun weekend. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We used North Texas Jellystone as an overnight stop. They have one section of about ten mostly level concrete back-in sites suitable for an overnight (or a few days) stay. These are the first sites in the 400's. The rest of the park appears to be occupied by long-term guests. I personally wouldn't consider anything below #400 as a viable site for a traveling RVer. The pull-thrus between #'s 19 and 120 are not suitable for travelers. While technically a pull-thru, the sites look to be more trouble than they are worth. The site surfaces are gravel, dirt, and somewhat undefined. The remainder of the campground looks dated and not well maintained. At the time of our visit, the park was occupied by mostly older, junky trailers with considerable "stuff" sitting around and a lot of trash scattered throughout the park. This may not be the case in the summertime; perhaps they are trying to maximize revenue in the winter. The park is easily accessible from Burleson and South Fort Worth; all utilities worked, and the kids working at check in were pleasant. There was no trash pickup; the dumpster was sitting in a big pit of mud, making accessibility difficult. That's sad because there are young employees constantly driving around on golf carts, but they aren't motivated to pick up the trash. We would stop here again if assured one of the lower 400's. It's just not a resort by any stretch of the imagination. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

Extremely large family friendly resort that isn't very pet friendly. I was disappointed to find they don't have a dedicated pet walk area or enclosed dog run. The area noted on their map is an unkempt field of knee high grass that backs up to woods. Other than that, you have the small areas between sites. There are quite a few long term residents and on-site construction workers (who live in trailers that don't meet park guidelines). Also beware that apparently there is a pet policy in the paperwork that is not disclosed on their web page. Stray cats being fed, constantly overflowing dumpsters and off leash pets on the grounds and in the buildings was the last straw. That was my first and last stay at this "resort". We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Travel Trailer.

We have site 42. Don't use this one. One inch of rain and you are flooded, and it stays around when every one else is dry. They advertise a pool; it is not usable - like 55 degrees, they advertise a water park. Suppose to be open on Saturdays - not open. They did not want to heat the pools. Said they would wait for the sun to warm them . Called Jellystone twice and no one has responded, We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Travel Trailer.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this park. There were lots of activities for the kids, and more so than the usual for a Jellystone park. The large water park was closed, so we were only able to use the small park. My kids (8,10,12) did not enjoy it. They said the slides did not have enough water in them so you got stuck all the way down. I noticed the life guards didn't roam around and just stayed right next to the pool, even though there were two of them. Kids running and breaking rules by the slides were not noticed. We only used the water park one day of our 5 day stay (that's how little my kids liked it). The employees were courteous, and we didn't have any problems. What made the stay less pleasant was the large amount of dust generated by all of the golf carts and the firetruck driving around. We were right next to the dust road by the interior pool and it was really bad. It rained one night and we were stuck with huge puddles by our space. The park is huge though and there was much to redeem our experience. Even though the park is situated next to the highway it just didn't bother us. If you are looking for calm and peaceful, this isn't the place. This is where you bring your kids and dogs and save money on a family vacation. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

First off, our kids are grown and we only stayed here because it was close to a service center for our RV. It was mid week so there were very few people which was good. We checked in but no one offered to show us to our site. She only shoved a map at us and told us the number. This is a very large park. But we found our spot. It barely fit our 35 ft. 5th wheel and there was very little room for our truck. Once out of the truck, we noticed an odor. It was coming from the sewer because the cap was not on it. The person before us must have left the sewer sleeve in and the cap would not fit on it. We finally got it off and closed up. Then we noticed all the trash around. Plastic bottles smashed from running over them, bottle tops, little things but a lot of it. I am wondering why no one goes around and checks each campsite when someone leaves. It should be clean when the next person arrives. Also want to mention there is a lot of highway noise. We were in site 24 right next to all the seasonal folks. In this area, there is junk and tubs and misc stuff under and around all the trailers. The fire pits had trash in them too. I was disappointed. I really thought it would be clean and well maintained. But, it was okay for an overnight. We won't stay again. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy access from 35 if you make it thru ft. Worth coming south. Stand friendly...park was quiet when we stopped overnight on Christmas...would be busy and crowded regularly...many amenities for a family...worked well for an overnight for me, though. Overpriced for what you get, especially in the off season. Woman checking us in was rude. We asked about the discount since it wasn't on the receipt, she said it had been applied. But we are staying Tues - Fri nights and Tues & Wed nights were $10/night higher. She couldn't explain why. All I asked for when making our reservation was a site with a clear view for our satellite dish. We asked her about our assigned site and she said we could get a signal unless there were trees in the way. DUH! We had to move sites, cuz such enough, there were trees over our rig. Will not stay here again. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

If you have pre-teens that you want to keep busy with activities such as a water park, paint ball, tractor rides, and scavenger hunts, then this is the place for you. If you want relaxation, views, or peace outdoors, skip. There are tons of staff members and they are extremely friendly. We were wanting a nice weekend away close to home, and this was not our style. It is an anthill of people racing around in rented golf carts.....I guess people don't walk anywhere and lots of noise from the interstate right next door. Also they had a dance party with Britney Spears loud enough for the entire campground. The site were close together and very shaded and well maintained. Some of the public areas, including the pools were a little suspect. Water pressure was awesome, 100 psi. Make sure you have a good regulator. We visited with our 4 year old and will probably not be back unless we are looking for entertainment for some 10 year olds. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Travel Trailer.

We had a really good time. The water park was great and the kids enjoyed paintball, laser tag, fishing and bingo. Our fire ring was full of trash. Someone took our golf cart by mistake. Apparently the keys work on all of the carts. $100 is a lot to pay for a spot and then have to pay for most of the amenities separately. There was not a good area to walk our dogs. We stayed for about 8 months on a monthly rate while my wife recovered from an accident. The staff is friendly and can be flexible to accommodate requests. There are trees blocking satellite signals in most sites, but on the flipside, most sites are shaded. This park caters to FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN, which fit our needs great. Lots of activities for the kids all the time, and a water park next door that is open in the summer. They are now putting in a zombie paintball course. It's an eclectic place in some ways, and we enjoyed our stay there. They have a limited number of monthly spots currently, but are adding more within the next year or so by expanding the park in the back. Things are constantly changing. One previous reviewer mentioned the poor internet - that has been (mostly) resolved now, and the free public wifi is quite fast and usually reliable. It's a fun place, but is somewhat pricey, and they don't offer a whole lot of discount options. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

WE reserved an Premium RV site one year ago. They put cabins on the RV sites and moved us without telling us to a tight spot in the back. The RV spots are now in the back, no shade and a terrible site. We found out 2wks before arrival for May 2017. WE will save our usual 1000 dollars this year! We cancelled. Terrible owner decisions against RV campers-look out!! The good sites are gone. This is not an RV friendly site anymore!!! We stayed here about six weeks while our home was undergoing repairs from an electrical fire. We were perfectly content here and would have stayed longer, but they have an odd policy concerning long term stays. Seems the site we were originally assigned to is one of their premium sites and is not available for extended stay. We would have to move if someone wanted a premium site and all the rest were taken. Trying to reason that we were paying full pop for 7 days a weeks while weekenders only pay for 2 or 3 days didn't register with them. Since we couldn't be guaranteed a spot beyond May 27, we opted to move to another park.

All that said, if you're looking for a short stay and have young kids, this park is highly recommended. There's two pools and lots of activities to keep the kids entertained. I've never stayed at a campground where the cable or wifi are worth a hoot and this was no exception. What I look for is a site with no overhead trees to interfere with our satellite and site 199 was just fine. We would have stayed longer if we could have been guaranteed a spot for a few more months. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.

Ok. We stay here while waiting to get the motorhome repaired from the hail damages. Staying longer was not in our plans, with that being said the road noise from I 35 is noticeable, the sites need more gravel, and the roads need to be repaired from the utilities that they have dug for the cabin being put in. The WiFii is slow as a snail and drops you a lot. The cable is terrible, they say they have 20 channels - Not! We had to put us on antenna to get CBS,NBC and ABC. Went to the office and complain they sent a teenager to the site and he said there was nothing they could do bout it. The weekends are full of kids that run all over the place with no control from the office or their parents.

We were in one of their premium sites wasn't worth the extra expensive. I will not be back. We camped at North Texas Jellystone (formerly Rustic Creek Ranch) in a Motorhome.
