Nov 2018 - $40.00
We liked this park. First impression is the staff and they were great. Showed us to our site in a golf cart. Hook ups are weirdly located at the rear of the site which causes you to park at the very back of the site in order to reach them. Huge, level concrete site with good separation between neighbors. Good Verizon and AT&T signals. Park wifi spotty, kept going in and out. We were in the back so not too much traffic noise but there were train whistles nearby, several per night, each whistling at a lot of crossings. Interior road navigation was super easy, again plenty of room. I do think they are WAY overpriced. They should be 10-20% cheaper. We stayed four nights but at this price, if we stayed again, it would only be for one night. - Julie and Ray
May 2018 - $35.00
Good basic campground for overnight stay. Full hookup pull through with cable & wifi. Very small pool. Some sites have trees but not all. Somewhat noisy business next door but couldn't hear it with A/C on. - AJShelton
Jan 2018 - $37.00
This is a very basic campground/RV park. There are concrete back-in and pull-through sites that are angled for easy in and out. All sites have full hook-us, including 37 cable channels for your TV. There is a constant background of traffic noise from the adjacent US highway (59). Most of the tenants appear to be here long-term, mostl likely oil industry workers. The restrooms, showers and laundry areas were clean, modern and orderly. If you come in when the office is closed, they leave a set of envelopes with the open spaces in a box near the door and you can pick your own spot, then settle up with the office is open. - Flamingo_Road_Trip

Don't stay here, all permanent residents, not an option. - cottonwood
Jun 2008 - $26.00
Very nice park with great managment. Very clean and well done shower and toilets, laundry, store, and office. Road noise is low. We would definitely stay again. - Greg Luckett
Sep 2006 - $11.00
Green Acres RV Park is a motorhome/travel trailer and fifth wheel friendly park with good access to other nearby towns along S.R. 59 between Nacogdoches and Marshall, TX. The manager/owners are good folks, good rates. Beware of parking near permanent Mobile Homes due to the lack of space between each MH. Good laundry facilities. Well maintained landscaping. Unpaved roads in the hot season are dusty, real dusty. I'd stay there again for a few days/weeks. - Landman

Martin Creek State Park is fairly clean. The sites are fairly wide. Sewer not on-site but dump station located up front. There is no wifi but AT&T and T-Mobile both have great service. - TJ13802
Apr 2018 - $18.00
Loved this park! During our stay (in the middle of the week) it was very quiet from the perspective of other campers. We also enjoyed the few miles of walking (biking) trails. However, because it's a state park that sees lots of traffic during the weekend, it does have places that need cleaning (mostly near the shores of the lake near the island). An interesting thing about this campground is that there is a power plant across the lake which has a continual humming (machinery) noise coming from it. For us it was basically white noise that actually helped us sleep. Also, there is occasional train noise coming from the plant. Honestly though, this did NOT distract from our enjoyment of this park. - Wandering With Us
Aug 2016 - $17.00
Rate reflects no access fees due to Texas State Park Pass. We don't normally give 10's to parks without FHU, but this park deserves it. This is a gem of a state park! Quiet, clean and well kept. This is the nicest state park staff we have ever come across. The park manager is present and active; the office staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Ranger staff, maintenance and camp hosts were all visible and friendly. They welcomed us and went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Power was steady at 122V and 55PSI for water. No sewer, but there is a double dump station. It was very clean and provided a trash can and water hook up. They have an island you can access by a walking bridge with picnic tables and trails all thru it. Great bird watching, large boat launch and numerous places to fish and enjoy nature.
There are 2 camping loops, one is 30 amp only, the other is larger, but they only offer about six 50 amp sites at this time. Staff told us they are updating their electricity to the park and hope to have more 50A in the near future. Most are fairly level. The park was quiet while we were here. There are some camping shelters for tenting and a couple of cabins. We plan to return to this park in the future. - Fixn2gocamp

Jun 2017 - $20.00
There were 2 travel trailers here when we pulled in. They both look like long term. Park is very simple, no frills, perfect for an overnight stay. We appear to be the only visitor today, but it is Wednesday so that may have something to do with it. There are 10 back-in sites and 10 pull-through sites. There are 2 available back-in concrete pads and 2 available pull-through concrete slabs. We are in a 34 foot motorhome with a toad and to get the toad out of the drive way we had to pull forward so that the front wheels of the moho are off the slab. Longer rigs would definitely have the front wheels off unless they park their toad in front. Also the park is right next to Highway 59 so the truck traffic is pretty noisy. However, these things are not meant to be negative. Frontier RV Park is perfect for an overnight stay. Verizon non-existent, but AT&T is strong. - FnEJ
Feb 2016 - $20.00
We stayed one night. The park has 10 pull-thrus (3 with cement pads) and 10 back-ins (4 with cement pads), all w/FHU. Internal roads were dirt. It had rained & there were deep ruts on the dirt and around our site. Pad was level but too short for our 40' motorhome & tow. Water pressure was high - need pressure regulator. No shade yet, trees are too young. US 59 is busy at all hours so there was regular traffic noise. There's no park office. One of the full-timers who lives in the park will greet you (if he's there) and collect your money. If he's not there, just park in a site and he'll collect the fee when he gets back. We paid cash but they also take credit cards. It's a bare bones campground - no off leash dog park, no playground, no cable or wifi. No picnic table or fire ring on the sites. A trash dumpster isn't readily obvious either. The price is great for an overnight. I'd stay here again. - Flippitti
Apr 2014 - $20.00
Stayed here a week. New concrete pads with excellent utility hookups. There were 3 full timers friendly but kept to themselves. Excellent location with easy off and on access to US Hwy 59 between Shreveport and Houston. - M Masters

Mar 2018 - $15.00
We pulled in late and the office was closed. We called the late-arrival number and it was answered immediately. We were given the number of our assigned campsite, which was next to the office and pool, and texted us the entry code for the restroom/laundry and WiFi. She told us WiFi was probably not available at our site but could be accessed from the office. The sites are all grass with ruts after recent rain and are not very level. There were few occupied sites so we had lots of privacy. There is one bathroom, one shower, and a room with several washers and dryers at the back of the office building. The facilities were clean enough. There's a small playground for kids. Only a very few sites have picnic tables. There are no shaded sites. Everyone we spoke to was helpful and friendly. This was a good value for a one night stopover in the area where there are few alternatives. - leorah

This little spot is about 1 mile west of Marshall city limits off of I-20. Most of the sites are permanent residents. It is run down looking but is great for an overnight stay. It has a payment drop box. The electric hook-ups are great and is one of the few campsites where 50 amp means 50 amp. The second interior road is in terrible shape so enter on the one on the right. We were happy to find it late on one scorching hot night. I didn't count the sites or have a brochure. It is a guess. - Iris

Pulled in here to stay over night. Easy pull through sites. Nice laundry room, bathrooms and showers. I did not use any of these amenities, but did walk through. Great dog play area. Our puppy enjoyed it very much, two paws UP! Power and water were convenient, sewer connection was not further from my home than I wanted so we did not do a dump while there. This was easy to get off of and back onto the highway there. About two thirds of the park appear to be seasonal or annual, with the rest for travelers. I paid with Passport America. - TekManiac

Great place to spend a night or two. All gravel, but that's an improvement over all mud that we've been seeing lately. - John McK
Oct 2018 - $32.00
This park was all gravel. It rained all night on us and gravel was much appreciated. New trees were planted. Management very helpful. Easy access to hwy. will stay here again. - JoPal
