This park is a gem. Beautiful views is the surrounding area. Incredible night sky as this is a certified dark sky park. There is a longhorn herd that you can hand feed on Fridays and Saturday afternoons. Great hiking trails and an abundance of wildlife to see. - Mark Ford
Nov 2018 - $20.00
We stayed at the Comanche campground for two nights in November. The park is 14 miles south of Quanah. The campground itself has nice campsites with good spacing. The campground was not full while we were there so there were plenty of open spaces and privacy. Each campsite has a picnic table which is under a teepee-like structure. The one bathhouse was clean. There are some nice trails around the area and the park headquarters has an interesting museum. I was able to get a few OTA TV channels but my T-Mobile coverage was very marginal. - Lance 47
Apr 2017 - $15.00
This small park encompasses a lot of amazing scenery and some spectacular hiking trails with interesting geological stuff. Each site has a wooden teepee-like shelter, lantern pole, grill, fire ring and picnic table. Staff is very helpful and friendly. This is a Dark Sky park and the stargazing must be amazing on a clear, moonless night. We had a full moon and some cloud cover, and we look forward to returning in the future to this gem of a park to see the Milky Way spread across the wide Texas night sky. - leorah
