Jun 2016 - $40.00
This site is hidden behind two RV superstores, Camping World and McLain's., and in front of a nice cul-de-sac subdivision. $40 is expensive when you don't have cable or a sewer hookup. But if you need a spot to park overnight to get serviced, it is unbeatable. It is a small concrete lot, six sites, spaced for privacy. I left my camper for a trip to Waco and returned to find everything OK. The attendant on duty should probably not admit that the site boosts prices in peak times to customers, though. I will stay there again when I pick up my repaired trailer. - Mhlangford

Jun 2018 - $60.00
This is basically a concrete parking lot with great big sites to accommodate the long horse trailers that frequent the Stock Yards. The power pedestal was modern and clean. I'm giving this campground a 10 because of the great location right in the middle of the museum district in Ft Worth. It's located on the grounds of the Stock Yards or Will Rogers Collusium. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. It's a great stop if you are wanting to camp in the city. - Andy R
Feb 2018 - $60.00
This is a wonderful place to stay if you are attending events at the Auditorium or the Coliseum. Unfortunately, it gets super busy (100% capacity) during certain events. So the night quiet lot with 100% concrete (except a couple little patches of grass between the lots) turn into a cow/horse trailer haven with hay, manure, and dumpsters full in quantity. Not to mention the grounds staff seem to work 24x7 so after an event you can expect fork lifts, diesel trucks and trash trucks (who like to slam the dumpsters down) at all hours of the night. The lot we were in (North Red ?) was good concrete and mostly level spots with 50 + 30 + 20 amp hookups at each pedestal, water pressure was insane (80 PSI this morning) and pay-by-day internet. The lot is lit all night with bright LED lot lights. There is no separation between lots other than a white line. The spots are wide, so if you hug one line you've got a decent patio on the other side. - tc0nn
May 2017 - $60.00
A Big FYI-the parking situation has changed dramatically from the last review. The lot on Harley is no longer available and for a MH needing 50 amp you MUST park in the more expensive lot behind the equestrian center. If you can use 30 amp there are spaces available next to the Swine building (remember this is a stock arena and has buildings labeled for specific stock) and the price is 30.00 for electric and water. The shower facilities used to be in the upper floor in the Swine bldg. and were fine. Since we didn't stay in this lot I don't know about them now. The 60.00 lot has full hook ups and is closer to the Watt arena where we needed to be for an agility show. You find a space and call the number given to you at the gate and a nice fellow comes out to turn on the electric. The spaces were VERY long as this lot is mostly for horse trailers which are huge and the spacing was quite nice. Hook ups worked fine but there was some confusion on the number on the power pedestal and the space number on the ground in the row we were on. They didn't really match. The lot is clean and fairly level with only minor tweaking needed for leveling. Water pressure good. Skyline at night is pretty and not much road noise at all. Make sure to go in the correct gate otherwise you make a big circle around the facility and one road is tree lined and the branches aren't trimmed up enough so we tried to stay to the left on the street and avoid them and not damage the antenna. Some of the turns were tight for our big rig but we managed to make it. We will come here again now that we know the routine. It was just a surprise from the last time we were here a couple of years ago. - tb919

Dec 2018 - $20.00
This is a long term campground, not a night to night campground. Lakeview RV Park (formerly a Mobile Home community) is a beautiful, tree filled campground with friendly, socially active neighbors and EXTRA LARGE RV sites on the southwest shoreline of Lake Arlington. They have excellent facilities for laundry on site. This park is conveniently located on the east side of Fort Worth's Loop 820, so quick access to just about anything in the Dallas / Fort Worth is a breeze. I wish we were still there, but my wife took a job up near Denton and the hour+ commute back home was too far after working a 13-15 hour shift. Lakeview's individual sites are about double the size of most RV parks, because it used to be a mobile home community and has converted to a Recreational Vehicle Community. The management and staff are very camper friendly and go out of their way to be accommodating to your individual needs. Lakeview is conveniently located near the intersection of I-20, 287 and Loop 820 on East side of Ft. Worth, just 5 minutes from major shopping districts in just about all directions. The neighbors are friendly, social and helpful. I wish we were still there. - Glen787
Aug 2018 - $45.00
Lakeview is a no frills park. The only amenity is a very clean and well kept laundry room. The machines were very economically priced. The park has very spacious sites. This was a very quiet and friendly park. The management was very helpful. They provided maps to local attractions and directions to local grocery stores. This park specialized in long term rentals and residents have decorated their sites in such a way to present a good impression to visitors. Residents take pride in their spaces. Everyone we met in the park was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. The park has one entrance that is well monitored and is completely fenced so we felt very safe. It was nice to see people walking their dogs and exercising. I have to say, this is probably one of the best parks we have ever stayed in. I did not give it a 10 due to it not having common amenities, such as a pool, community room, and such. I highly recommend Lakeview RV Park in Fort Worth Texas. - Stone Manor
Mar 2014 - $30.00
If you like to stay between a custom home construction site and a place that sells a lot of pavers, plus have the ambiance of a very busy freeway with limited lake view, then stay here. Not only is the location bad, but the staff isn't friendly either. Nothing like having an old crotchety drunk who thinks he's a security almost run head on into your car to harass you because you were going 15 mph through the park. - MoreSmarterTexas

Nov 2013 - $39.00
Rate reflects Escapees Club discount. Perfect location for visiting downtown Fort Worth - world-class museums and great restaurants all within walking distance. Park is old but well-maintained. Sites are very tight, but acceptable. Hostess was very friendly and helpful. Great WiFi. If you don't like urban environments, don't stay here. But if you want experience downtown Fort Worth, the park's deficiencies are offset by its location. We stayed here four nights and would stay again. - Mingo Papa
May 2013 - $36.00
This is the most difficult park I've ever had to navigate and I've been doing this for 20 years. And I only have a 36-foot motorhome. That said, it's the most convenient location in the "middle of the action" in Fort Worth. The electric pedestal I had was one of those just a few inches off the ground and it was so loose it kept letting my plug fall out. The pads are barely wide enough to extend slides. The other thing that makes this place special is the owner and the park host. They are top-notch folks who really want to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. - Midlander

Bear Creek is a very nice COE park. Sites 1 through 12 are very shaded near the front gate. (There are a few big branches that should be cut, but that's just a opinion.) The rest of the sites are near the lake. Great park and shout out to the park host. He was very helpful and great to deal with. The park is well maintained, clean and all sites are big. Some might not be best for big rigs, but the park host knows what fits. Not a lot of 50 amp sites. Rating 9 of a 10 just because there was a site that was a bit cluttered and just gave the area a junk feel. The occupants apparently work camp there. They were quiet and the 7 kids were well behaved and quiet. - WickedOne
May 2017 - $28.00
Pleasant COE campground near Fort Worth. Just passing though, so didn't have time to do much exploring. Nice, tree shaded sites, some pull through. One caution though - the park map suggests that Sites 1-18 are lakeshore. They may be close to the lake, but a dense forest separates that part of the campground from the lake. So, if you want to see the lake from your site, choose the other part of the campground. - jwppagosa

Bear Creek Campground is on Benbrook Lake just southwest of Fort Worth, Texas. Most sites 30A & water. A few 50A & water sites. Two full hookups sites, but not available to public. Many old live oak trees. Several sites have low hanging limbs, caution advised for high profile RV's. Most sites spacious. Best #33 with unobstructed lake view. #22 has great afternoon shade, but utilities are on wrong side. One modern restroom/bathhouse bear front of park , the others are old and tired. Park is adjacent to a remote control airplane airfield, so expect noise on Saturday and Friday afternoon. - drfife

We stayed in site #72 for 2 nights to off load and prep to store the 5er for the winter in Ft. Worth. What a spot there was us and one other spot at the end of a cul-de-sac. By the lake, great view of the lake. Our pull thru spot easy in and out, dump station on the way out easy as well, has access to 2 sides so 2 can dump at the same time. Be aware the middle of Sept. we had out outside lights on and were overwhelmed with Gnats when we opened the door. We spent that night and the next swatting gnats. - davidpas548

We stayed at site#46. Nice view of lake. Plenty of enough room for out trailer and parked 3 vehicles. Staff was very friendly. Bathrooms were clean and stocked with toilet paper. - NitaC

We always spend a few days here when traveling through Dallas / Fort Worth. There is plenty to do being located so close to the city but we love the serenity of the lake. Most spots are large enough for big rigs with 30/50A service. We have always enjoyed the Camp Hosts here and the facilities are well kept. - Calibrateguy

I would not camp here again! This manager is never available. There are kids everywhere with no parents outside. They vandalize your camper and are outside late at night making noise. The hookups were available but it is way overpriced and has no amenities. The sites are so close together it's hard to park. - Reeves82
Feb 2010 - $22.00
This is not an RV park, rather a former RV park that has been converted to a trailer park. We were the only "camper" in the park for two days. All other residents were semi-permanent living in what appeared to be a trailer park equipped with former FEMA emergency housing trailers. We had reserved a two-night site via the Internet and paid in full in advance. Upon arrival the campground manager was not available, but her husband told me to pick any available/open site and set up. All sites are located on an asphalt parking lot and space lines are painted on the surface. W/E/S hookups were okay and conveniently located, but, contrary to the Web site, there was no cable TV and no Wi-Fi service. Residents threw trash on the ground waiting for someone to pick it up, and they placed pieces of furniture outside of their rental trailers. It was not a pretty sight. RVers should not stay here. - grandflic

Great stay! We stayed a week and one day. They have a weekly rate. Cable TV was good. Internet not so good. Most of this park is permanent residents. Some of the mobile homes are from the 1960's. But, everything was very neat and clean. The roads are a little bumpy. No problem with our 40 foot diesel pusher. Site was gravel. Picnic table, pull thru and extra parking. Very shady in some parts. The personnel working were great - friendly and helpful. There was a storm one night with a few limbs blown down. They had it all cleaned up early the next morning. Very convenient to Fort Worth. Our daughter lives in the TCU area, and we were only 20 minutes from her. Off of I 35 W South. We will definitely stay here again. - User1574
Apr 2016 - $39.00
We stayed for 2 months. The location is good but the park needs so much work. The inner roads are so bad and have been patched so many times. The sites have been patched and so uneven, it takes a lot to level your rig. The office staff are very friendly. We will stay here again because it is close to our family. Sure wish they would make some improvements. - milodog
Apr 2016 - $39.00
Entering into park I was very concerned from the appearance. The roads are asphalt, patched with asphalt, and the patches were patched. The office staff was very nice. Our site #93 was very close to neighbors and not very level at all. The cable TV did not work well at all and, as seems to be common at most parks, the WiFi was slow. The Verizon data connection was strong and much faster.
We were visiting local friends and, due to the campground appearance, were too embarrassed to invite them over to see our brand new travel trailer.
I think there are probably better parks to stay at nearby so we probably will not stay here again. - Tewickh

Oct 2018 - $45.00
Extremely large family friendly resort that isn't very pet friendly. I was disappointed to find they don't have a dedicated pet walk area or enclosed dog run. The area noted on their map is an unkempt field of knee high grass that backs up to woods. Other than that, you have the small areas between sites. There are quite a few long term residents and on-site construction workers (who live in trailers that don't meet park guidelines). Also beware that apparently there is a pet policy in the paperwork that is not disclosed on their web page. Stray cats being fed, constantly overflowing dumpsters and off leash pets on the grounds and in the buildings was the last straw. That was my first and last stay at this "resort". - TrvlnRN
Mar 2018 - $70.00
We have site 42. Don't use this one. One inch of rain and you are flooded, and it stays around when every one else is dry. They advertise a pool; it is not usable - like 55 degrees, they advertise a water park. Suppose to be open on Saturdays - not open. They did not want to heat the pools. Said they would wait for the sun to warm them . Called Jellystone twice and no one has responded, - jim sanders
Mar 2018 - $85.00
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this park. There were lots of activities for the kids, and more so than the usual for a Jellystone park. The large water park was closed, so we were only able to use the small park. My kids (8,10,12) did not enjoy it. They said the slides did not have enough water in them so you got stuck all the way down. I noticed the life guards didn't roam around and just stayed right next to the pool, even though there were two of them. Kids running and breaking rules by the slides were not noticed. We only used the water park one day of our 5 day stay (that's how little my kids liked it). The employees were courteous, and we didn't have any problems. What made the stay less pleasant was the large amount of dust generated by all of the golf carts and the firetruck driving around. We were right next to the dust road by the interior pool and it was really bad. It rained one night and we were stuck with huge puddles by our space. The park is huge though and there was much to redeem our experience. Even though the park is situated next to the highway it just didn't bother us. If you are looking for calm and peaceful, this isn't the place. This is where you bring your kids and dogs and save money on a family vacation. - davis0924

This park serves long term stays and is excellent at providing a safe, clean and well kept community. Sites are a little close but was not a problem during our 3 month stay. The dog park deserves a word of caution. Several dogs using the space seemed to always be in the mix when disturbances broke out. We chose not to use the dog park for this reason. All utilities were good, trash service was fine and the office staff was always helpful. Location is good for Fort Worth and VA hospital. Shopping is 8 miles away. Getting a space is a little difficult but worth the effort. - Beech35p
Jan 2018 - $45.00
Feel safe and it's clean and quiet, a real community feel. Staff are friendly and approachable. The sites are concrete pads, spacious and not on top of your neighbor. Utilities are included with their rates which are electric, water, sewer, trash, and cable tv. Dog park is nice and clean, pet waste station is provided in the park. Roads are concrete and asphalt. Current amenities are small laundry facility with lounge area, showers, restrooms, dog park, and picnic pavilion. They are in the process of expanding on the laundry room and adding a recreation hall. - Chrissy Keeney
