This is mostly a full-timers park and looks like it. It is not maintained to a very high standard. The maintenance men were very nice and helpful however. The roads are a rough gravel but the site are concrete pads and level. Most sites are very close together. We did not encounter very many friendly people. Pet owners generally did not pick up after their dogs. The owners did not act very friendly the few times we had to see them; if fact they appeared to be just the opposite. Not sure why they seemed so terribly grumpy and mad. This is a very loud park surrounded by an extremely busy highway, a train track and a high velocity sand-blasting company. This would be an okay stop for a day or two but I would find another park if at all possible. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects an average for our 14 day stay with the first 6 at the PA rate. We stayed in the larger "Killer Whale" site where the site next to you is also your site. It is the same size and looks like a site except there are no utilities on it. There is some noise from the road, train and sandblasting plant next door but it was not unbearable. This place has more trash cans than any park I have ever been to. Easy to maneuver in our big rig. We went to the group Thanksgiving dinner which was excellent. Almost everyone here is permanent or seasonal. Most sites are level and partial concrete/gravel. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

NARROW NARROW NARROW - the sites are SO narrow that we had to duck under our neighbors slide-out in order to get to our Jeep. Forget your awning! Ridiculous!! Other than that, It was OK and served our purpose. Never again! The ole Grey Poupon joke is not a joke here. It is real. Forget asking for a picnic table - no room on the tiny 'patio' We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rally rate, streets need redoing, sites are tight in many places, concrete for coach, but tow on gravel site long enough but not all concrete. Community room & office are spotless. Staff very nice. Saw no security. We were in back of property heard no noise from highway but there is a train nearby. June is so hot here, gravel streets and dusty. Free WiFi strong and good cable . Sticker burs in the bare grass. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great rally accommodations. Large rally room and commercial kitchen. This would be a nice park to stop over while visiting San Antonio. The park is fairly full with permanent folks, but there is a large section for a rally and I assume short term visitors. It is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sites are long and level. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We would return for an over night stay, but only with the Passport America discount. We would not stay for the standard nightly rate of $56.00. Most of the sites are occupied by year round residents. The sites are mostly pull-thru. They were long enough that we were able to leave our toad attached, but extremely narrow. Cable T.V. was great, but wi-fi was very slow. Several people, myself include, had difficulty with our surge protectors turning off and on. Maintenance told me I had a bad surge protector since their meter read 120 volts. ??? The good. Staff were friendly. Trash barrels were conveniently located, and the park was clean and the sites were well groomed. VERY nice laundromat. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Large RV Park, with long pull-thru's. Park has all of the usual amenities, close to San Antonio. Only 2 real complaints. The sites are very close together. We were lucky that the park was not full and there was nobody next to us. The second is that when sitting outside there is a sewer smell. Also when we went to our assigned site after check in the surge protector said there was an open ground. They assigned us a different site. They did come by to check out the original site but they couldn't find anything wrong. Would probably stay here again. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Visited this RV resort in early March 2018 and used it as a jumping off point for San Antonio. Great location, downtown San Antonio was only 15 minutes away with easy on and off the freeway. If you left after 9 am you missed the rush hour. The park has all the amenities we needed. Water, electric, septic, cable, and wifi. The wifi wasn't a T1 line but was adequate. Could actually stream during late night hours. This is a large resort with many full-timers, seasonal and plenty of transients. They can handle all lengths with plenty of pull thrus. Didn't use any of the other amenities like cafe and fishing pond. Laundry was a card only but rates were reasonable. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here while visiting San Antonio. Very clean campground and service is excellent. There are some long term campers but the park is so large it is not an issue. This is a very nice RV park with many pull-thru's. FHU-50 amp. We stayed in an L Site this time and in a K Site previously. Both are wonderful! Level cement pads for rig, patio, and truck/tow vehicle. Beautiful view of catch & release lake. Person guides you to your site and trash is picked up each morning. Quiet. Cable. Wifi is very weak. Have a restaurant; serves specific meals only but is good and inexpensive. Good pizza across the street at Joe's if restaurant isn't open. Can arrange sight-seeing tours of San Antonio which pick you up at the RV park. We would love to stay here again if in San Antonio. Very nice. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed on a site across the lake from the office. Unusual layout because only every other site has hookups, so you get essentially a double site. Had a pad and table. Wi-fi OK. Next site over, folks had MANY Christmas blowup displays that ran 24/7. Slightly annoying but not too bad.
Passport America rate was a few dollars cheaper than their weekly rate. We

$26 rate was with PA. Pull-thru full hookup site with a concrete pad and patio. Small grassy area between the narrow sites, so there is just barely enough room for your patio awning. No picnic table or fire pit. Cable TV had very poor reception. We did better with our over the air antenna. Wi-fi is available and worked well. A quiet park at night as it is far enough from the freeway. Nice pool & spa along with a large fishing pond for catch and release. Clod to sll all the sites of San Antonio including the Alamo, the Riverwalk and several Missions along the San Antonio River. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park. Our site was large and level. In addition to the pad for the RV we had an additional concrete pad to park the truck. We were escorted to our site, all staff members we had contact with were friendly and helpful. There is also a kitchen where we had a hamburger with all the trimmings and a drink for $5. This place is pricey and without the Passport America card we would not have stayed here. Our site was $64 before the discount. The price is the only reason I did not rate as a 10. Very nice well organized park just off I-37 but far enough away for little freeway noise. Check-in staff are very friendly and had our reservation info right at hand. Check went smooth and we were escorted to our site and were helped to be positioned on the concrete pad to aid in connections. Most sites are pull-thru and long enough to park TV or a Toad in front or rear of rig. Many sites are tight in width, our awning touches the rig next to us. But most everyone around us was courteous and we never really knew they were there. Interior roads are normal width but they are two way so care must be given to oncoming traffic. Traffic is light even on weekends because of the size of this park, lots of roads to get around. There is a small fenced dog park but lots of grassy areas to walk the dog, pool and meeting room where meals are served by the park on weekends. The office/store has basics (most importantly ice). Cable TV has roughly 66 channels and free WiFi worked fine. It is stated in the handout that their WiFi is designed for email and basic internet use, high speed internet is available from Spectrum at your own cost. The park just completed upgrading the laundry facilities from coin operated to credit card. They have standard and large capacity machines. There are many long term residents staying here and they are sprinkled amongst short term rigs you really can't tell who's who. Because the park is well kept and people can't just leave stuff lying around it feels like a quality community. We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
