This was my second time staying at this RV park, I will stay here again when in the area, great access just off I-10, yet far enough away to not be bothered by traffic noise too much. On site cafe is a good option for dinner or breakfast though menu choices are limited. Overall very good park, I did not give it a 10 due to some wear showing in places. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stop over from Georgetown, TX to Terlingua, TX via Alpine, TX. Easy in and out from the I-10. We were extremely pleased with everything...check-in, campsite, etc. Staff was very nice. WIFI actually worked and quite good!!! We had pull thru and did not have to disconnect toad. Great little restaurant in the park next to the office. Server was very good and fun. They serve a free, small cup of Blue Bell ice cream with your meal. Will definitely stay again if passing through. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clean and well laid out. Surprisingly quiet for being right off I-10. Ate breakfast at their on-site cafe-very good meal, included grits and gravy. Spaces are large and level. Open southern sky for Direct TV satellite. Easy to get to. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Overnight stay. West Texas is HOT in Aug! While we usually just stay in a rest area or truckstop, we need to run some AC. Looked for a safe, clean place to overnight and hook-up to reliable 50amp power. Based on reviews, we picked this place, Fort Stockton RV Park. We were glad we did. We called ahead to make a same day reservation and they answered the phone immediately, took down our info and wrote us down. The office was open till 8:00, we got there around 5:oo. Very helpful and nice staff. There is a section with longer term folks, but the section with more trees, shade and grass is for us transients. There are a lot of pull-through sites, more than enough room for our 35' MH and toad. We did not unhook. The sites are gravel, level, with a concrete patio and picnic table. Trees are tall enough to cast some shade in the later afternoon. Electricity was steady and reliable, both ACs ran most all evening and night. Did not hook up water or sewer, but had both at site with convenient location. We were in one of the front row spots. Very convenient for our early morning departure. Was kind of worried about road noise and dust. There was none. The WiFi was as good or better than any we have ever used at an RV park. Good Verizon coverage as well. There is a nice, clean pool to cool off in and a nice big dog run. Get off I-10 on Exit 264 and follow the signs. We will use this every time we need to overnight along I-10. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night on the way back home. We stayed here 2 years ago and they are continuing to make improvements. We had dinner and breakfast in their cafe and the food was good and priced right. Great dog park for the dogs to let off steam. We would stay here again. We have stayed at Ft. Stockton several times in the past and have always thought the park was a wonderful place to stop in West Texas. Yes it is in the high desert so there is not much grass but the pull through sites are gravel and level. All the services met our needs as they have in the past. Easy access from I-10 from either direction is a big plus. There is a section for long term workers who are very busy in this region of Texas but the park accommodates everyone very well. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We used Fort Stockton to rest while on an I-10 corridor run to California. Although you could say the park was a little rough, it was clean and our site was level. Cable TV and WiFi service was very good. We were pleasantly surprised by the onsite Roadrunner Cafe. The food was good, solid coffee-shop fare. WHile this is not a "destination" park, we would definitely stay again if traveling the I-10 across Texas. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed in June in a 38 ft FW, we were in space 34 a pull through just long enough for our rig and truck. The spaces were easy to get in and out of. No issues leveling. Our space had some grass for our little dogs. Lots of dirt some small trees but this is West Texas. All utilities worked good, wi-fi was good but we were next to the tower. Road noise wasnt bad. The park is east of town but easy to get to off I-10. Had a nice looking pool, the staff was friendly and quick to give a Good Sam discount 36.00 total. Ft Stockton has the usual big truck stop companies, we used Flying J for the GS discount didn't go anywhere else. In all a good stay we would stay again. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A great place for an overnight traveling across the vast expanses of Texas. Easy access from I-10 with little noise from the freeway. Fairly large with a semi-permanent section and a transient section. The sites were level gravel and not too close. Check-in was easy and the folks are friendly. We would stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

The Roadrunner on site cafe is worth a visit. When e made our reservations, the host suggested coming hungry and he wasn't kidding. We both has the chicken fried steak (ok... forget the diet) and it was cooked just right and plentiful.

This is an older park, a KOA at one time. It has a lot of long term people, oil field workers I suspect. Most of them are in a separate section up front, however there are still quite a few in the rest of the park. Some sites are clean and orderly and some are not. The park has a pool that was closed for the season when we were there. There is also a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner at the campground. Good spot for an overnignt stay. We have stayed here several times. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped here on westbound trip last fall so decided to stop again on the return. Reasonably clean park with friendly staff. Good place for overnight stop or short stay. Watch out for the speed bump near the office. Some long term residents in park. South end of park is near interstate so traffic noise is present. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.
