Good location for visiting the sights in the Hill Country. Utilities worked fine however the water pressure was a little low. Cable worked fine, 20 channels with NFL network but no ESPNs. Wifi sometimes was strong and other times didn't work. Space C1 was an easy pull through. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

LBJ boyhood home and ranch was very interesting. Luckenbach was fun. Go when music is playing. Frederickburg has a ton of gift shops downtown.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at the KOA in June in a fifth wheel. Check in was quick the staff friendly. We were in space H1 which was a long pull through completely shaded. Be careful where you place your rig as we had to move after we were just short on the cable. We had a bad storm which knocked some branches onto our roof, just bad luck, no damage. The park is clean lots of grass or ground cover and is very well maintained. There are spots for every size of rig. All hookups worked well no issues including the wi-fi. A good stay we will return. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The campground spots are all pullthru and plenty big enough for our 40ft 5th wheel and truck. Excellent water pressure, cable and pretty good internet. The campground is about 1/3 to 1/2 full with fulltimers and longterm campers. Lots of spots with built in patios and decks and such. Best part about this park is that it is really close to mainstreet Fredricksburg. Probably could walk to it, but because it was cold and windy we drove. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is an honest review. We chose this park due its proximity to Fredericksburg (5 miles east). Our experience largely mirrored two other 2-star reviews posted on RV Park Reviews. The Park is OK. It's appearance is a bit "tattered" e.g. the entrance drive gate was bent from prior impacts, and both the entrance and exit drive gates were temporarily supported by yellow cargo straps. Drainage can be an issue during rains and finally road/site gravel is in need of replenishment throughout the park. We stayed several nights in two different pull-throughs having to relocate mid-stay due to availability. One lot was in the rear of the park and had nice tree shade. The rear of the park as others have pointed out, was overrun with cats so be forewarned. The second spot we relocated to, was out in the open, mid-park. This site had a drainage issue as most of the spots in that campground area drainage through this spot towards the center grass field in the campground. This made entry/exit from the motorhome a soggy experience. The trash dumpsters were clean, generously large, and centrally located near the dog park, away from all campsites. The reservations staff were pleasant however like other reviewers noted, the staff on the golf carts tended towards "rude" (note: other reviewer's words, but they matched our experience). Other regular visitors advised us that is the not unusual. We stayed in a Motorhome at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit both the Nimitz Museum of the Pacific War, and the Pioneer Museum in Fredericksburg. It will take you a full two days to view the Nimitz museum, and at least a half day to view the fascinating local German history depicted at Pioneer Museum. There is a Walmart a few miles to the west. Also Highway 290 is lined with Texas Hill Country wineries. Bring your cell-data hotspot if you need a reliable Internet connection. The campground WiFi is use-limited.

The park is very nice except you and your dog have to be a cat lover. There are numerous cats that roam the property. You must pick up your dog poop but never mind the many times you step in the cat poop or your dog finds it edible. The other problem we had was that there are no lights at night so remember a flash light. Went to club house before dark and left after dark and had a hard time seeing the way back. A nice park but just can't tolerate all the cats and the poop. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Had lots of fun here and liked the area so much we extended our stay by a couple of days. First impression of this KOA is iffy as trailer storage is the first thing you see but it is really very nice with lovely big shade trees, nice wide and long pull through sites, and friendly folks. Checkin was a breeze and we were escorted to our level, full hookup, gravel site where WSE worked well. Cable was fuzzy and WiFi non-existent. Verizon worked fine. Lots of rules here, I guess that's how they keep things so nice. We enjoyed watching the chickens and feral cats that roamed the area and couldn't get enough of longhorn cows in their pen. Good gravel interior roads. Five miles from Fritztown but there's a gas station / mini mart across the street. We were happy here and would stay again if in the area. A very friendly and helpful lady employee checked us in and gave us a quiet and shady site in rear of park. Big shade trees. This is a big park and has different types of sites. Dog park was fenced, partial shade, and clean. This is one of the nicest KOAs we have seen. We will stay there again. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Pretty park with large trees close to Fredericksburg. There is a winery next door, Longhorns along the side fence, and cats and chickens roaming the park. Our site was in the back corner with a nice yard area and plenty of space, though many of the sites are closer together. They say that their wifi has been recently updated but we couldn't get a signal from our spot. There is cable available and we had 3 bars of 4G with ATT. This is the second park we have stayed at in Fredericksburg and we will definitely come back here. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Good location for visiting Fredericksburg. Host were friendly and helpful. WiFi comes and goes. Sometimes works good, sometimes not at all. Laundry was $1.50 each and worked well. I had a short back end spot and had to park my truck adjacent to the camper. Chickens and cats roaming all over. Chicken poop on sidewalks in front of the laundry room. Someone did squirt it off while we were there. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 5 nights as our first trip with our 21' Travel Trailer. The site we were given was a pull-through with plenty of room. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The campground was very clean and well taken care of. The showers (4 in each building) were in good shape. Laundry facilities are good. 4 each washers and dryers. There are books, magazines, and even a few DVDs to borrow. The shop has more RV parts than the typical campsite: electrical parts, door locks, window catches.... There are a number of chickens wandering about the grounds and you can buy fresh eggs. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We had a site booked, but called from the road as we were arriving at 10:00, and wanted to check in early. The woman behind the desk was very cheerful and helpful, and told us to "come on in". The spot we had booked online was not available yet, but she found us an even better spot! We were thrilled with the beautiful trees all through the park, as well as the pull through site that had room for our 40 foot rig, and tow. (Not always the case in Texas park "pull throughs". Managers were friendly and helpful, suggesting where to eat in town, etc. We would definitely come back! We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

4 miles from Fredricksburg. The town is bigger than it looks, and filled with both "touristy" shops, as well as museums. We were here on New Year's Eve & New Year's Day... There were many stores closed for the holidays, but enough were open to be able to window shop. Also close to Lukenbach--which if you are a Willie Nelson fan--is a "must!" We could not even begin to count of the wineries here. LBJ ranch is about 5 miles away...however they were closed for the holiday.

This site L1 was a pull thru but my slot had a wash out that prevented me from pulling straight, to make turn to left could not turn to right turn to tight, had to back out . I stayed in back section the roads are narrower in this section which makes it harder to maneuver, gravel and uneven slot but does have trees for shade. The personal were friendly the park was clean. This camp is good location t0 Frederickburg (5miles). I would stay here again but in different slot. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 2 nights as our first trip with our new Class A motorhome which is much larger than the Class C we'd had for 8 years so a big concern for us was a long, spacious site. The site we were given was exactly as promised--long pull-through with room for tow car and shaded. It was also on the end in the back corner of the campground which added to the privacy and quietness. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The campground was very clean and well taken care of (we didn't use any of the facilities so I cannot comment on them, but the pool looked very inviting). I want to especially thank the office personnel for helping us even after we left the campground. When we got home I realized I had lost my key ring with car keys, house keys, plus many other keys. Since we never exited our motorhome from the time we left the KOA until we arrived at home (and we searched the entire motorhome for the keys), we assumed I dropped them at the campsite after hooking up our tow car (we had a spare car key that was left in the tow ignition). I called the KOA and they were busy so I left a message about the keys and asked for them to call me back. About 15 minutes later, I got a call that they had gone out to the site and found my keys. He said he would check the best way to get them to me. He called me back about 10 minutes later and said the best way was that he would take them to the UPS place and have them sent to me. Throughout this process, the man was not only helpful, but he was very cheerful and sincere. In other words he didn't appear to mind helping at all. I would definitely recommend this Fredericksburg KOA to anyone who is in that area. Great customer service/care is hard to find sometimes, but these folks are great!
