I back again this year for about three months. The park is better than last year. It now has more sites concrete with curbs. It is very updated with New Laundry, and start building a Bath House. Oak Hollow is quite with plenty of shade. I stay here every time I in the area. - NurseBetty

First let me say I read the poor review for this park and I don't know where he was staying but it was either not here or he was lying. The river creek behind us never has gotten even close to full. Even when Houston was flooded with the hurricane, the creek here never filled up. I've been in this park for 3 years now. First in a Class A motor home and now in a travel trailer. It is quiet and wooded. Yes we have wildlife. That's what most campers like about it. Yes we are on the back side of a landfill but you can't see it or hear it OR smell it. There are trees separating us. I have enjoyed this park because it is quiet, quaint, and no one bothers me. It is owned by one man and he is ever working on expanding the facility. We have a laundry facility and he is working on public showers. That's all I need. - MariT

I am a traveling nurse; I stay at a campground for three to six month at a time. I read RV review to see where I will camp. I pick Oak hollow RV for the convince and settings. I have camped here since last November and love it. There is Birds & Wildlife in the CG that is one of the reason I like it here. I have seen many rains here in the past five months, but never water anyplace other than running down the roads or creek. I drive cross the creek twice a day have never seen it half full yet. There is a Landfill nearby, but there is a RV Repair and Storage between the Landfill and Oak hollow RV. I understand there are others that have been here for years, if it was not nice I don't think they would keep camping here. - NurseBetty

Customer service was excellent, but this is basically just a big (overpriced) parking lot under a busy freeway exchange. The "pond" is a water retention basin, but has a nice paved walking trail around it and nice landscaping at all 4 corners. The paved double wide sites have only a narrow 3 foot space of grass between them, thus the large pick-up truck (parked side by side with his its trailer) in the next site was 2 feet away from our slide. The pool area looked very nice, but the dog park had grass that was way too long and no place for the dog owner to sit. No trees or landscaping at any sites. The roads are all paved, wide and easy to navigate. There was a water main break and later our septic was full, so we had to move to another site to dump - but we were grateful for the extreme attentiveness of the staff - very helpful - top notch! - Deb and Chris
Sep 2018 - $79.00
This was my 4th visit to USA RV Resort at Kemah, and I have never been disappointed. I rate this park highly for (a) cleanliness of facilities, (b) overall maintenance of park, (c) location (Kemah TX), and (d) the great staff who work here. I come here to visit my daughter who lives close by, and this CG is my go to for a 2-4 week stay. Excellent in all regards. - olddeadhead
Feb 2017 - $42.00
.Very crowded RV park that could use some sprucing up. Shower facilities were ok but could also use some updating. Sites were small and on top of each other. Most of the sites, especialy in the back were full time livers. Easy to reach the space cementer from here. It served our purpose. - momdoc
Jun 2016 - $42.00
Stayed here two nights while visiting the Johnson Space Center. Would definitely stay here if in the area. The park wasn't great, but it served our purpose very well. The check-in staff was very nice and helpful. No problems with our pull-through site. There are a lot of permanent residents but the park still looked good. The restrooms could use some work, but overall we were pleased with the campground. - junmy3
Apr 2016 - $40.00
They were very accommodating for our late arrival and friendly over the phone. Paved but very narrow roads inside rv park. Spacing is very tight; however, they had what we needed which was 50 amp, water and flat site. For an overnight, we didn't need anything more. It is near the highway but can't hear it much if your rv has good insulation. - DebGA
Nov 2016 - $10.00
This park is a short term park, using Pass Port America, and a long term park. This short term sites are nice in size and pull thru's, long term sites are very narrow and short. Full hook ups are find. The one bad thing about the park, is the dog pooh. Most of the long term residence don't pick up after their dogs. There seems to be no park rules that covers this area. The rates are OK. Long term is around $310.00 a month plus electricity.
There is a mobile home section in the park. Some are OK and some are in bad shape. The older mobile homes seem to have a lot of junk on their sites. We like this park even though there are some problems. - Joceil
Oct 2016 - $16.00
The park is mostly people who live there full-time or for extended periods but it appears they have about a dozen sites reserved for short term rentals. We stayed a week. Staff and any people we met in the park were friendly. There is a pool and a laundry room. Only complaint - no folding tables in laundry but the price was great. The area is becoming built up so if you are a runner, once you run by a half-mile of construction, you are in neighborhoods and the sidewalks are shady, safe and miles ... close proximity to stores. - BD_Mass
Jun 2016 - $16.00
A bargain for the Passport America rate of $16. Staff was exceedingly accommodating and left our check-in paperwork taped to the office door as we arrived late in the day. Office opens again on Monday morning for business and we will pay for our stay then. Easy peasy!
We didn't spend very much time here but used it as a convenient base to visit The Lakewood Church in Houston as well as a visit to Galveston.
Most of this park contains older, permanent mobile homes but there is a section for travel trailers which is well groomed and perfectly acceptable. Our site was a pull-thru, with plenty of room for our truck and fifth-wheel. Each site has a covered, cement patio with a freshly painted picnic table and the grass around the sites was recently mowed. Conveniently placed hookups for electric, water, and sewer, but no cable. We have our own WiFi so can't vouch for theirs. Peaceful and quiet in an otherwise very busy area. Would return if in the area. - PARTYOF2
Aug 2017 - $50.00
I have lived here for a year this September, I have to say how refreshing it is to see new management!!!! The new manager goes above and beyond to ensure that you are enjoying your stay. There are rules at every park and because of these rules is why Willow Lake is my favorite. It's clean, quiet and safe. Both the manager and the new maintenance man, keep the park well maintained and everything in working order. This park has great amenities. All concrete sites, pool, wifi, cable, laundry, bbq pits, pet grooming station, showers, community room, dog walking areas and even a media room. You can fish (catch and release), kayak, pedal boat on the lake. Would highly recommend!!! Don't let the negative reviews discourage you. This is the best park on this side of Houston!! - L Quinn
Mar 2017 - $41.00
Very disappointed. We stayed here 2 nights and could not wait to leave. We were provided one of the "pull-through" sites at the back. Getting in to our site required navigating through a maze of closely packed pickup-trucks and SUVs from the mostly full-time working residents. The park design gives the impression the owners are intent on maximizing the most possible number of RV spots in the least amount of space. These sites were almost less than the width of my trailer apart. My window awnings and the awning of the Class A next door almost touched. Since we had a pet, I was concerned about the "Gator in lake" signs we saw posted. We also got frequent road noise from the overpass next door to the park, as well as the rumbling sound of Diesel trucks from workers departing at 5AM. I would not call this a "Resort" by any stretch, notwithstanding the postage stamp size pool. - Llando88
Mar 2017 - $49.00
The online reservation system did not work (not operator error) office staff confirmed, and they didn't answer the phone (during business hours). This park is full of long-term residents and probably has 10 slots available for short-term stays. - mecicon
Jan 2005 - $36.00
This is a mobile home park that will rent spaces to R.V. campers. The park is fairly dated, but kept clean and the staff is excellent. Located beside Hobby Airport, its a short drive to downtown Houston and all its attractions. Will visit again. - txtransplants
Mar 2016 - $41.00
The word Resort does not belong in this park's name. It couldn't decide if it wanted to be a storage place or RV park. All hookups worked fine but the wifi was very slow and kept dropping. There was constant traffic in and out of the storage site and the roadway. Welfare motel occupants next door let their dogs run free and did not pick up after them. There was a small pool but it was closed and a small empty room that (I think) was supposed to be a lounge area. The garbage can in the bathroom was overflowing with used paper towels and the shower was not inviting. The campsites were level concrete pads but were close to each other with no shade trees. - Melodycthomas
May 2010 - $31.00
We stayed here for two nights while visiting friends in Galveston. While access is pretty easy off I-45, my GPS was routing me on a toll road which I chose to avoid, which was a big mistake. Traveling the locals roads was just tedious and of course, I was arriving about 3PM on a Friday afternoon. One nice aspect is there's a Shell station on the corner of I-45 & FM 517 West that was an easy-in/easy-out (at least early on a Sunday morning) for my 36' gas motorhome and toad. he park was clean, well maintained, and had what I think were good interior roads which I could navigate easily. My assigned site was a long concrete pull through. While I used my car while there, the site was long enough to allow the toad to remain hitched. The Wifi and cable TV worked well. The sites were pretty close together for my taste. Although I didn't extend my awning, it looked like it would come pretty close to the RV in the adjacent site. - Wayneey
Nov 2009 - $31.00
Good for an overnight stay: wouldn't want to be here for an extended stay as sites are very close together. Roads are quite narrow and the entry is quite challenging. Check-in lady was excellent: went through a lot of effort to get us a long enough space so we didn't have to un-hook. - GeeksRUs
May 2018 - $38.00
Not the greatest park on our trip but we would stay there again if in town. Site was a little tight but doable for our Motorhome. Tow vehicle parked real close to Motorhome. It was perfect for us because we were there to sight see and not hang out at campground. Was definitely worth it and Location worked for us. - PJ Norris
Apr 2016 - $30.00
This is a very small park and all the sites are back in, and close together. There are no extras here, but it served it's purpose while we were in Houston to work. The park is clean and quiet, however there is noise from the mobile home park next door. WiFi was excellent and never had a problem connecting, or with speed. This would not be a park to try to check in after hours, as there are seldom vacant spaces. - Lisa C
May 2012 - $30.00
We stayed here for several months while working. If you are looking for a small, quiet place to park your RV, this is a good one, but it has nothing special. It has a small laundry room with a bathroom, no showers. The manager's live on site and are nice people. The owners are extremely nice. They don't want kids here and they really don't like dogs, but they tolerate them, if you pick up after them and keep them on a leash, which is what most places require. This is a very "tight" park and it was very hard to back into our spot. All spots are back in. Mostly working people stay here. It's very close to everything you need, grocery, Walgreen's, restaurants, shopping, golf courses. There is a very run down and old mobile home park next door, but we really didn't have any problems with them and there is a 12 ft. fence between the two properties. I felt very safe here. - RV Lover
Jun 2018 - $39.00
A very quiet park yet so conveniently located for shops, restaurants, Houston, Kemah and Galveston. No road or train noises. There were a number of workers (assisting in Hurricane recovery) throughout the park however there was never any noise as they left daily. Concrete roads and back-in pads with grass in between. Not much shade and unfortunately in June it was extremely hot and humid. No picnic tables or patios but a beautiful heated pool. The shower/toilet rooms were exceptionally clean and the whole park was VERY tidy. Wi-fi reception was good as was AT&T. The owners were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. We booked in for 4 nights but extended to 12 to take in this lovely park and the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend and would stay here again if ever in this area. - OzFrosty
Jan 2018 - $26.00
We stayed here for a month, very quit and clean RV park. WIFI was ok, staff was great very helpful. - Bert338
Feb 2016 - $1.00
I stayed there for a month (4 weeks), not 30 days for $525 including power.
1.Very clean and well maintained campground
2.The hosts were very kind and wanted to help you out in any way that they could
3.All concrete roads and pads
1.We could not get wifi at our 5ver
2.Driving through the CG can be tight at times as several of the campers have several cars/trucks at there site and will block about half of the road around the CG.
I would stay there again with out hesitation. - rynosback
