We stayed here Memorial Day weekend with two other couples (3 RVs). The sites were level and almost all had good shade cover with plenty of space - not at all crowded. Good crowd using the park with nothing obnoxious going on. There is a community room with full kitchen available. - DrifterMDB

Guess they close up for the winter, pulled in figured out the place and choose a lot facing the golf course. Beautiful day great hookup and concrete slab very quiet at night. Everything locked up no cell service no one to get wifi code from , it was nice. - what next

Recently stayed in this park for two nights. We were able to get a reservation, but not able to choose a specific site. It was first come - first serve. All of the back-in river sites were taken by 5 pm (looks like most of the river sites and/or shady spots were taken by full time local workers). The RV park is handy if you are playing golf; otherwise, not much else to do. The building where the bathroom is located has a large meeting area with a satellite TV that did not work. Also, the bathroom is (1) shower & (1 toilet) for each gender. Free WiFi, but is pretty much nonexistent since the park was full of campers - internet kept going off and on. No over the air TV channels available in the San Saba area.
The RV park was very quiet in the evening (no road noise from the highway). I think it is a fine place for a one night stay, but I would not choose this park again for a weekend stay. - Gtown

This is a very small campground located about a mile east of downtown Lometa on Hwy 183. Built and dedicated in 2002 this park has a nice playground and pavilion for family picnics. There are about 15 sites. They are relatively level with water and electric and 30/50 service. No full hookups though. The road in the park is asphalt. Some sites are back-in while others are pull through. There are Live Oak trees on most sites. We stayed here in a 32 foot with two slides and had plenty of room even with the awning out. There is a bath house that was clean but no place in the shower to hang a towel, clothes or even a soap holder. That was my only issue. We stayed here two nights and will definitely stay again if passing through. - Bill from Texas

This was a really fun stop for our family. It's a brand new park and very clean, with lots of amenities. There is an adjoining drive-through Wildlife Safari that we went through two days in a row. Absolutely stunning, beautiful views. Lots of exotic animals. The kids had fun playing in the "Fort" onsite. We will definitely be back! - D Crunchymom

This is a nice quiet campground. The sites are on grass and are backed up to the Colorado River. Every site has water and a household 20 amp outlet for power. It was enough to power our AC and fridge. There is a dump station on the way out. The owners are nice and you can take whichever site you want. The campground is adjacent to Colorado Bend State Park (AKA Lemon's Fishing Camp) which has no hookups which is why we stayed here. The owner said the campground property is 1600 acres so the state park is not within walking distance. Fishing is popular so weekends you have a lot of visitors coming and going. You have access to at least a mile of river frontage for fishing. The office also has a small store with some food and fishing supplies. There are hot showers and the facilities are kept clean but they are older and run down. The sulfur spring is a neat feature to see and smell. I did not smell the sulfur smell in the campground area. The reason for a lower score is the 6 mile drive down a cliche gravel road. Everything will be covered in white dust when you arrive. There are a couple of steep grades but I was able to make it in a 38' fifth wheel without a problem. It's very scenic and peaceful once you get there. - RFamilyCamping

The park grounds are well maintained and is a very nice older park. There are NO FULL HOOKUPS. Water and electricity at each campsite except by the river. The toilet paper rolls had many bugs on them and the floor was gross. On the drive in you drive through miles of cow pasture so the camp has soooo many flies. It is located at a bend of the river which is easy to walk and is in a canyon which invites heavy wind. There is NO pool or playground. No mosquitoes. There are trees that provide nice shade. Great place to relax (poor cell service on Sprint). Nature trails and great stars at night. There is a dump station but, no sewer at each campsite. - bradleybhiking
