Well we read other reviews so we knew about the speed bumps...thanks they are large. In July we made a reservation for two weeks, at that time we were told there were no monthly sites available and we needed to call them back or wait until we arrived. We found out at arrival that biweekly rate is the same as a monthly rate $540 but no monthly sites available, But.. in 2 weeks we could move, and be charged another $540. They would not prorate a new site at the monthly rate of $540. $1,080 a month is outrageous, as the sites are small and cramped together. Lots of full-time residence. Older unkept rigs. Connection to the sewer is a pipe covered with a brick. No place to secure our sewer hose. We won't be back. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We were looking for a place to stay over the Labor day weekend. Looking at pictures on Good Sam and on the website, we thought this could be a nice place to stay. We had a pull through site. The sites in this park are small, we had to maneuver to be able to open our slides, there are many permanent residents there and the sites are not maintained very well. We could not use the patio because we had to back up on the pad so far to be able to connect all the hook ups and the area that was grass was filled with fireants, which made it so you could not use it. After the second night someone pulled into the empty spot next to us and their slide out almost touched our awning. You do have free access to the Flea market on the weekends and we did walk around it for a short time before the weather got too hot, they have carnival rides, lots of birds, some dogs, car parts, tires, lots of flea market stuff. There are food stands through out the flea market too. Fresh produce, clothing etc. The RV park is near by a big shopping area with IKEA, Walmart, lots of other stores, restaurants and there is an outlet mall nearby. I don't think we would stay here again, just because the sites we so tight, we would like to be able to spend some time outdoors and enjoy our campsite without being on top of the next camper. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had stayed at Traders Village, Houston, Texas, earlier in the year and found it to be a very nice park. Their website portrays the Grand Prairie as a "Premier DFW RV Park" and Good Sam gives it very high marks. We were surprised when we arrived at the disrepair in the park; the concrete pads are all cracked and heaved. The park needs to be renovated as it is showing its age - friends of ours in the area told us the RV Park has been around since at least the 70's. It doesn't look like much at all has been done to keep the park up in the mean time. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not bad... The entrance sign is partially blocked by a tree but the Garmin knew where it was. Then we had to go over three big speed bumps to find registration -- with the last one requiring a turn while crossing. After checking in, we had to turn around in the parking lot (that is full when the market is open) and go back over the speed bumps to get to our site. The site itself was long enough but the grassy mud between the sites was barely big enough for the picnic table the birds used for target practice. The park is in good condition overall, but when I pulled the loose cap off the sewer hook-up there was a clear breach about 12 inches down. Several other deep-capital issues may be present. However, the water/power/Wi-Fi were all outstanding -- with the latter only slowing down when it was raining and everyone was streaming at the same time! The market is nice if a little dirty. With all the mariachi music and Hispanic themed products I could have just as easily been in Tijuana. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The Traders Village campground is part of the large flea market complex, not a separate park with RV's as the main focus. The first thing i noticed upon entering the park was the frequency of speed bumps. Big ones too. The office/store was hard to find, it was not convenient to the campers. One had to make a u-turn after checking in and go across the speed bumps again to get to your site. There are concrete interior roads and pads, and the sites are very close to each other. I had to put the picnic table under my bedroom slide so I could walk around it. Fortunately there was no one next to be because our slideouts may have touched. There are a lot of trees, home to hundreds of starlings who produce poop at a very good rate. It was everywhere. The park had a general 'used' look to it. With a little extra maintenance it could be quite nice. but still very cozy. There was no cable, but the antenna picked up many Dallas stations. The wi-fi was adequate. The row across from me was mostly occupied by workers. I was unsure if I could pull out when it came time to leave because of the many vehicles around. Fortunately, they had left before I did. But, it was still a tight turn. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over the winter. Overall it was a great place to stay. The sites are big enough, and staff were good. Bad stuff: trees needed to be trimmed back & getting out of the park on weekends is awful (due to flea market) We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We paid weekly rate of $252, i.e. one day free instead of Good Sam daily discount. Well located to see/visit both Fort Worth or Dallas. Whilst sites are long, they are close together and trees can prevent you opening awnings. Concrete slabs are cracked and need to be wider. We experienced rain and this made it difficult to walk to car without going through mud. Had to find our own picnic table and bring to site. Seems to be a shortage of tables. Weekend markets are a stroll away with lots of 'stuff' as well as entertainment and food stalls. Quite fun to walk through. We found this a quiet campground overall. Good wi-fi but no cable. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent bang for the buck located in the center of the DFW metro area. Very clean, well cared for. Some low hanging trees to look out for and getting a satellite signal could be a problem in some places but I was fine. All the hookups worked well. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Tips for other Campers:

So many places to go in the DFW area. In addition to being steps away from the big Flea Market, you're a short drive from Cowboys/Rangers stadiums, Six Flags & Water park and less than a half hour from Dallas or Fort Worth. Many good restaurants close by.

Between the bird droppings and spraying tree sap, I had to clean the windows of my car every day I used it. I must clean every inch of my awnings before rolling them up or they will be stuck fast from the tree sap. The only way to avoid the problem is spots 311 or 313 -- no trees. An unpleasant stay but cannot offer a solution other than wait for winter. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bathrooms were unclean every day. Lots are very close. No place for dogs to potty. Redeeming qualities, Most people cleaned up after their dog. The flea market was close and free to get into. Associated with the adjacent weekend flea market, this campground seems to attract those who like that sort of thing. The facilities are good, but the price is high, even with the multi-day discount. The residents seemed very aloof to us, and the staff were just there. Most site are quite shaded, so don't count on a satellite connection. The laundry was large and among the most inexpensive we have encountered in 12 years of full-timing. We used this place as a spot to park our rig while we flew out of DFW airport. The cost was very high for what was basically storage. We won't stay here again. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a very convenient RV park to Dallas. We visited a lot of Dallas sites & most were only 30 mins away. The airport next door is small bi plans & helicopters, not overwhelmingly disturbing. The coin laundry is the most reasonable I've ever used. The pool is 3-8ft deep and perfectly clean & large. We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
