1 RV Park near Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Texas
Jun 2019 - $15.00
Large paved lot with space for ~20 RV's. Spaces were a little more spread out than I was anticipating. No Hookups, but water available to fill tanks. We stayed one night in early June. We got there early in am and had nice choice of sites. By end of day, 2/3 of CG was occupied. Many hiking trail start in the CG. Beautiful view of mountains and plenty of open sky for solar panels. Cells were OK, some OTA. About an hour drive up to Carlsbad Caverns NP. - Davishouse2

Much better for tents than RV. I was tent camping. However, I think I will bring my trailer next time. If you are are a hiker. which I am, you will love this place. Could be good for an overnight but it tends to fill up early. The tent area is walk in meaning park in the parking lot and haul your gear in. I got there at 3PM and got a great site but it was not close to the parking area. site. By 5 PM on a Sunday it was full. The RV area still had some spaces in the evening. The tent area is much nicer than RV area. RV area does have flush toilets. The views and the hiking are more important to me than the lack of RV amenities. This park is not for everyone. Try to arrive arrive around noon so get a good site. There is nothing there but hiking and scenery. It is 60 miles to a gas station. People who love the outdoors and don't mind roughing it will have fun. - NT2013

Tough call on an overall rating. Great national park - the RV park - not so much. If you're here its not for the campground. Its RV spaces marked on an asphalt parking lot. Some pull-through, some back-in. No dump and I'd think about watering-up before coming in. The water fill is located so most rigs would have to go around (the wrong way) and come back in to get parked, non-threaded faucet, you'll need a water thief and pushbutton operated. Otherwise, phenomenal setting and great hiking. Marginal Verizon service - fulltimer121
