I stayed here in this RV / Mobile home park for 3 months. It's an OK place. It's MOSTLY quiet. I did have a few problems with it tho. Loose running dogs throughout the site would often attack. I walk my small dog on a leash and had been attacked by other loose dogs 9 times. There is a specific family in the park that like to have VERY LOUD live music with mariachi bands that run late into the night. The music was so loud, almost the whole park could hear it and had to deal with it. The manager is a complete space case. Aside from being illiterate, she flakes out on everything she says. She is hardly ever on site and goes on "vacation" often. The swimming pool was mostly filthy all the time. Once the swimming pool was closed due to feces being in the pool. They also inflate your electric bill that you pay directly to them. I've never in my life had such a large electric bill in an RV. The electric bill was about the same as when I lived in my 2500 square foot HOUSE. The only nice things I can say about the park is... it is pretty. A lot of shade trees. And is mostly clean. The laundry facility was working and clean also. - Forestwoman

We stayed 2 different nights, parked by the office in pull in site 124. Older park with many full time trailers, campers, with huge trees, so watch your Sat, but strong cable TV & WiFi service. Super nice and friendly office staff. We stayed here to be close to galleria area. Pool area looked spotless and park is well maintained. We will stay here again when in Houston. With highway construction on Beltway 8, if you are going north on Beltway 8,watch for your east feeder street to I-59. Park is located east of PPL RV sales lots and behind Sterling McCall auto dealership, on the south side of I-59 - RV park has a sign on 1-59( southwest freeway). If you are going south on Beltway 8 , exit at 1-59 feeder road and go east. - Oooooooo
Oct 2015 - $50.00
Sites are concrete ad, very narrow. We were here for only 1 nite & our site was right next to office, laundry & showers. Very convenient but no privacy. Entire complex is mostly concrete, narrow strips of grass. Landscaping was nice & well maintained. Laundry was superb. Dog walk area & dog wash facility! Nice rec room & heated pool. Located in a very congested area in back of several car dealerships. Would not stay here for an extended period bit one nite was fine. - Hulda
Jun 2015 - $22.00
We stayed here for 6 weeks while working the floods of Memorial Day 2015. Owners are consistently grooming and cleaning the sites. There are a lot of workers of various occupations, but it's very quiet, people are friendly but not in your business. The laundry is clean with several options of cycles so the $2.50 seems fair. We kept a clothesline between the trees in the back of our RV for line drying and that was readily acceptable. The pool was treated 3 X/day for bugs and the most I saw using it were 3, including me. An exercise room, a computer room, and pool table rounded out the community hall. They recently added TengoInternet, have cable, and Wi-Fi works great. Very close to the 59, the 8, the 610 easy to get to any place in Houston. Found it to be a utilitarian city but lots of wonderful places to eat. Close to La Porte, Galveston, and Beaumont. Would come again anytime. - Barbara Smith

Wow! I believe that the park is only a couple of years old. Brand new concrete, double wide roads, spacious concrete spots, great WiFi, good selection of cable, pretty pool, beautiful community room with free coffee, hot water, and popcorn, immaculate laundry room with front loading washing machines, $2.50, and dryers, $2.00, clean large showers and dressing rooms, and a pond (that was being drained while we were there to work on it). Each site had a nice size patio, a bit of lawn, and a tree. Our tree had a bird's nest with 2 baby birds and mom. One of the reviews I read stated that it was a glorified parking lot and gave a poor review. I will take this glorified parking lot any time. The managers were warm and friendly. We only spent the night as we are headed back home, but I would definitely stay more than one night if I were visiting Houston. I would have given the park a 10, but it was a bit of a walk to the restrooms from our site. And we will definitely stay again as we are passing through. - Living the Life
Mar 2018 - $51.00
One of the less expensive parks on the west side of Houston. Easy access to very busy freeways. Our first ever resort. Clean. Quiet. Lots of rules. Laundry is on a card system. The "lake" is small and man-made, but the city park across the street is lovely. - mac2school
Dec 2017 - $63.00
What a difference a year makes. Construction all done except for a couple culverts or bridges needed at two of three dog walk gates, and need a keypad at gate so you can walk or bike to the stores. Hwy 6 now qualifies as a resort.
It is really hard to find fault with anything except maybe prices. But then, the park is in a major city and a great location. What makes a difference: email package notice, fresh coffee popcorn and donuts with local paper, free fax machine in great well equipped office, quality exercise equipment, heated pool, WIDE streets, rental storage sheds, tire inflation station, propane, two outdoor kitchens, good park security, quiet neighborhood, five mile paved jogging and bike trail across the street and walk to an Aldi grocery store on the corner.
I saved the best news of all for last: Internet that works. AM PM no slow periods: amazing. Our monthly rate for a 40 foot space by the lake was $789.00. Price depends on length of RV, so you only pay for what you need. Our space was just right length for our 38 footer and room to park toad next to coach. - ctpres

Location. Location. Location. Rating is taking into consideration where and what it is, they're doing the best they can with what they've got. It's an urban campground. We stayed here because of the proximity to family living in the med center area. Road noise is constant day and night, so it fades into the background eventually. Fast free internet was a bonus. Site was level, pea gravel to park on and concrete pad patio was a nice feature. Sites are small. Clean and tidy park. Interior roads were fine, easy in and out. First park we stayed at with a barbed wire fence. U-Haul less than a mile down the road where we filled up propane. We would stay here again, due to the convenience to the med center area. - Roaming Together
Aug 2018 - $48.00
The location of this park is it's best attribute. Only a few minutes from NRG stadium or Toyota Center as well as downtown. The sites are all gravel but looked level as far as I could tell. Many long-term residents but for the most part they were all well kept. Transient visitors aren't given the best spots I don't think and was initially being placed into a spot with zero shade next to metal building in August. They were very nice and moved us to a spot with a least some shade which helped the AC keep up with the Texas heat. The campground is very cramped and the dog walk area is pretty small but they at least have one. Yes there is traffic noise but inside the RV we didn't hear a thing. Very busy street and when exiting you must turn right - stay to the right and then use the turn-around at the next intersection down which is easily negotiated even with a big rig. Be very careful when exiting I-610 westbound not to turn left at first intersection - trust me it's not fun going around in circles looking for the right street! - Jeff Smith

Very quiet. Very clean. Great management. In Houston for husband's medical treatments. They offered shuttle service to the hospital. It's close by and convenient to so many things. Need to come back for more medical appointments in the next year...will be staying here again. - Amarilis

Nice, clean, well kept up campground. Lake is nice but only access is if your site is adjacent to the lake. Not cheap, but hey, it's Houston. Fairly convenient to the north Houston area. Not a great neighborhood but gated access with security code made it feel safe. Close to our daughter and would stay again. - Vtwin996
Mar 2017 - $50.00
We dropped in for a weekend - had a wonderful experience. New managers were welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Part of the Quality RV family, the park has excellent amenities and super clean facilities. The pond is stocked. One evening we caught 25+ sunfish and 2 really nice bass using hotdogs for bait! Catch and release so we left them behind for others to enjoy. The neighborhood around the park is 'iffy' but we felt safe inside the gate. We will return!! - Texas Cajun Campers
Dec 2016 - $13.00
Big rig concrete level sites and was gated. Special was the first month stay was half price. Showers were great with large showers. Laundry was good and you could use recreation room while you waited. Recreation room had tv, free popcorn and coffee, computer room with printers, and pool table. Campground was well maintained and staff was helpful. Large dog park was good. - Fulltimersrv

Booked one night at Lakeview RV as we were passing through the area. Staff was friendly and the park and all amenities were immaculate. Enjoyed our first night so much we decided to stay another night. No privacy between sites but we didn't mind. Sites are short so most park their tow vehicles along the road in front of their site. I recall some reviews complaining about this, but the roads within the park are very wide and I had no issues navigating through the park with or without the trailer. Large recreation center, walking track around the lake, several outdoor kitchens and community fire pits, pool, large professional laundry, free popcorn machine and coffee, business center, dog wash, separate walk through gate to gas station, and more.. this park has it all. I can see why this park comes highly recommended. Will definitely return. - Megan McGrath
Aug 2018 - $60.00
I've stayed at Lakeview several times and have never been disappointed. Large park, great amenities, security gate, friendly staff and several dog parks and a dog wash! I was even upgraded when there was a mistake in my reservation. Whenever I'm in Houston, this is the only place I stay. - TrvlnRN
Mar 2018 - $65.00
Our motorhome was at Lakeview for 3 months and we resided there for 2 months. The staff in office are amazing and responsive, beautiful rec room with games & exercise equipment, free popcorn & coffee. There are 3 small dog parks, a beautiful lake with fountains and walkway around lake, everything is paved and clean. Swimming pool area is nice although it wasn't heated for a while. Will definitely return. Sorry I can't mention staff names who work in office here. They were awesome and friendly! There are common grills and fire pit areas. Some campers are rude and don't pick up dog poop and staff are working on that to enforce rules. Office sends out e-mails and also leave you phone messages. - Margie S Heiler

Eight of the 10 sites are on concrete. Most of the sites appear to have long(er) term occupants, e.g. more than 2-3 nights. Best to call ahead. Lodge seems to have a regular meal schedule and Bingo on Thursday night. However, parking lot wasn't very full for any of the scheduled events while we were there. Power and water were both good. Vzn coverage was okay. - GerMarV

People were very nice here, pool was clean and nice, restroom relatively clean, large laundry facilities. That's the good things. The bad things - lots are very small and close together, lots of permanent people here with trashy sites that need to be cleaned up. - Freedom Expresss
Feb 2018 - $30.00
This park was attached to a huge fleamarket that runs on weekends, and it was probably 70% filled with long term residents. The roads were paved and easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome. Our site had grass, which is more important if you have dogs. There was no cable TV connection, but about a dozen OTA TV stations. The water was easy to connect to, and the water pressure was sufficient. The RV parking pad was concrete and was in good condition. The WiFi connection was good, and the internet bandwidth was an 8 out of 10. Verizon cell signal was 3 out of 5 bars. We don't use restrooms or showers (and there was no pool), so we can't render an opinion on those items. There was no dog park (we travel with 3 golden retrievers). We did not notice any significant road noise, but noise like that doesn't bother us anyway. The price was reasonable for the services received, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We would likely stay here again. - Don Gagnon
Nov 2017 - $25.00
Rally rate. Very nice office staff. Concrete pull thru sites a bit too close. Many full timers loaded with junk, kids on bikes and skate boards, extra cars parked everywhere. No cable but strong wifi, direct tv signal, clean park in general. Grounds in excellent condition. Next door to huge flea market- many Spanish speaking vendors- I saw no bargains, lots of cheap stuff and garage sale items - but worth a stroll on Sat. & Sun. No table or patio area. My 38' motorhome plus a jeep fit in pull thru. Lots of shopping within 10 miles.. - Oooooooo

Jan 2019 - $27.00
We stayed here for a month which allowed us to pay a monthly rate instead of a daily rate which is why the nightly rate came out to be on $27. This is a very clean and will organized facility. A private lake and close to grocery stores and resturants. We will stay here again. - Mnolasco
Jun 2018 - $48.00
We stayed in a pull-through while traveling though Houston and didn't use any of the facilities. Appears to be mostly permanent residents although the lots were all neat and tidy. It is a very clean park. All concrete roads and pads with some grass at each site. Nice place to walk the dogs just outside the gate and they have a dog wash if you need it. It is behind the Uhaul storage place. It's about four miles off I-10 and there were some trees along Baker Cypress Rd that gave us a little brush that we didn't like. Pricey for an overnight but we needed electric because it is so hot. - thekites
Mar 2018 - $43.00
This park is AWESOME. All paved roads, paved sites, very professionally run. Paved patio space with picnic table. Very conveniently located to lots of shopping and restaurants. Excellent dog park. The laundry is of professional grade, and clubhouse was beautiful. Pool tables free popcorn...while you do the laundry... Never stayed at a more delightful place. grounds very well maintained. Stainless steel dog wash station, air station to pump up bike tires, propane on site,, reasonably priced. - Wanda Page

I stayed 2 nts as a test to see if I cared to stay longer and while the park was in poor condition considered staying a full month only because it was quiet and close to where I wanted to be and had a reasonable rate with available wired internet, but the mgr flatly and without shame renegged on a verbal agmt to let me pay the difference to finish the month so I stayed 1 more nt and left the next morn. The mgr is dishonest (not entirely unusual for rv park managers), unhelpful, and extremely impolite. The building material of choice in this park is duct tape based on how many trailers in this park use it. The road is in poor shape as is the rest of the park. It is dingy and dirty. I will not be back EVER and highly recommend to avoid these crooks. They cannot be trusted and will swindle you if given the chance. - 2 maybe 3 eagles
Dec 2013 - $26.00
Overall first impression was the camground looked very old. Mostly Long termer here, which is not an issue. Assigned a site and found it was filled. On Duty Manager stated "well if they won't move, I'll shoot out their tires" Second site the electrical meter was broken and live power appeared to be exposed. Site was noting but an uneven hole. Third site more level but uneven ground. Slab was poured crooked which made t hard to back in. Went to hook up power at panel and found inside cover missing "EXPOSED BUSSES". Since I knew something about electricity, I was able to plug in, but a child or unsuspecting adult could get electrocuted very easily. Place needs a ton of work. basically bull doze and start over. Spaces are too tight, I was in a 23 ft Jayco 5th wheel and had problems. Not enough room. Will not return! Good Sam needs to re-evaluate this campground. The rating it gives are too high! - mark-frm-Ne

This campground is in poor condition. No one available in office (even to take your money). Rough neighborhood and mostly occupied by permanent residents. Good Sam needs to go out and re-evaluate this campground. We stayed one night so we could visit friends in Houston and would never return to this campground. - jahiggins
