Dec 2006 - $27.00
Park was poorly maintained and had trashy trailers. Too close to the local beer stop and lots of loud trucks without mufflers. Residents let dogs run loose and did not pick up after their dogs. A large number of semi-permanenet residents. - TXiceman
Dec 2005 - $27.00
The park owners do not enforce the rules and have dog owners keep their pets on a leash or pick up after them. Campground was noisy due to all of the locals with out mufflers on their vehicles. They also make unauthorized charges against your credit cards after you leave..paid for a full months rent and left after 17 days due to the conditions. - TXiceman

Small, nice, clean, quiet (noisy if park by highway), good internet, Good neighborhood, helpful management. - Ronald Mauldin
Feb 2016 - $35.00
The above rate is daily. I paid monthly. This park is hard to evaluate because all the good qualities are sort of erased by the fact that the traffic noise is probably the worst I have experienced. Having said that, the sites are quite nice and the internet is the best of any RV park of which I have ever visited. The location is convenient and the people running the park are very accommodating. There are a fair number of permanent folks here but they are quiet and their sites are kept clean. Even though it takes awhile to get used to the traffic noise, I would stay here again. - troutslayer

Apr 2018 - $12.00
Great place if you can deal with neighbors that like to play loud music at 2am, let their sewer line overflow, sell drugs out of their camper, and park in their neighbors' yards. Until that guy moved in it was very quiet here. Management either can't or won't do anything about him. Wifi is available, and the signal is fairly strong for most of the park, but very, very slow. Get a spot close to the office. Kids like to drop golf balls in the sewer lines and plug them up. - S McMillan
Feb 2012 - $28.00
Worse campground we have stayed at during our entire 3 month trip from Wichita, KS to Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. Not clean, site was poorly maintained, entire area smelled of sewer, and they did not take credit cards on-site, only cash. Lucky (?) we made our reservations on-line. Camp consisted mainly of people living there, I think we were the only travelers to stay part-time. Would NOT return under any circumstances. - roamerparty
Oct 2010 - $30.00
This is a nice little park. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are numerous long-term residents in the park. Our site was gravel/dirt, and required minimal leveling. The community room was very nice, and the restrooms/showers/laundry room were all shiny and clean. A TACO card gets you a 10% discount. We chose this park because it's near the Texas Renaissance Festival in nearby Plantersville. There are other parks closer to the site, but the ones we saw consisted of an open field with hookups installed; no trees, etc. Rambling Vines has no picnic tables, cooking grills, or swimming pool, but it's a quiet little park. We had stayed here a couple of years ago, and will go back again. - K Graham

Aug 2018 - $59.00
Great park for kids, lots for them to do. With school being out it was very crowded, especially the weekends. Staff was great and very helpful. Some of the water slides were shut down during certain times of the day because of staffing shortage. Only one of the large slides were open at a time all week. The staff took turns opening one for a few hours then the other, which we didn't like. The lazy river was overrun with kids being very wild during the weekend, but it was fine during the week. Kids loved the train ride, golf cart parade and all the activities-so many we couldn't do them all. We got a premium site and it was large and had plenty of room. We would return to this park, kids had a great time. Summer weekends this park is packed. - mrkd
Jul 2018 - $83.00
The rate of $83.25 per night includes arm bands for three people and our campsite fee for a Sunday through Thursday stay. We stayed in site #90, a preferred pull-through. We liked our site. We found it to be a bit more spacious than others. It had a view of horseshoe lake and was still close to the pools. It was very close to the activity center, play ground, and one of the laundry rooms. My family members were in site #91, and people kept driving golf carts through their site since it was larger and on the end. I don't know if they thought it was a public access or were just being rude, but it made us concerned for the safety of our children so we blocked the path with our trucks. We would book our spot of #90 again, but will remember that #91 won't work for us. The restrooms needed to be cleaned more often, but they weren't horrible. You could tell they were cleaned regularly, but it is a campground with water features, so a shower or toilet area gets dirty after one or two people use them. Our kids loved the pools and activities, especially candy bar bingo. Our little one liked the playground and the Jellystone Express train. Older one liked the movies they play at night on the big screen outside. Employees are very nice and helpful, particularly the ones working in the ranger station store. They are great about enforcing their rules here, which we appreciate. It keeps the little ones safe if people are required to drive within speed limits and control their anger. This park is very family friendly. They do serve food at their food bar by the pool, but we brought our own. It saves money, and we prefer our familiar food anyway. You can spend a lot of extra money here if you want to, but you don't have to. We bought a t-shirt for each of the kids and some refrigerator magnets. Some people rent golf carts; we rode our bikes. Mosquitoes were not a problem. We plan to return, and we recommend it. - Amanda L
Aug 2017 - $70.00
The park's water features are fairly nice and offer a variety of options for children from 2 - adult. However, we noted black algae growing in the entrance of the lazy river and the bathrooms were totally nasty. The camping/cabin facilities are awful. The roads are too narrow and bumpy, there is absolutely no signage instructing ways to enter or exit the park, the RV sites are mostly dirt and not maintained and all the sites are too closely spaced. They advertise that they accommodate big rigs, but the roads are almost too narrow for big rigs to navigate. When the park is fully occupied, there is no room on the roads for big rigs to move through the park. I am surprised they are allowed to associate themselves with Jellystone Parks. They fall well below the Jellystone Parks standard and are not worth the premium price they charge. - PBW

Feb 2017 - $1.00
Very nice community park with free camping. There are 8 back-in sites with full hookups and level concrete pads. The park takes reservations by phone and online request but the staff are very hard to reach. We wanted to stay two nights and could not reach anyone, so we pulled in and asked the maintenance staff who let us stay as there were empty spots. Maximum stay is 7 nights. The park gates are locked by 10pm so don't stay put too late. Hard to believe this is free as it is very nice. - mohocamper
Apr 2016 - $0.00
Free campground in a city park with a maximum one week stay. You do need to call ahead and reserve though, which we were not aware of. Only 8 spots and they are all in a row. Brand new hookups, and beautiful concrete pads. Can't beat the value especially for an overnight stay and being so close to Houston. They have staff patrolling until 10pm and then they lock the gate so feels very safe. - Lee and Trace
Mar 2016 - $1.00
Wow full hookups for free and the park itself is very nice with lots of activity during the day and pretty quiet at night. Site spacing varies some are close together and others have some space (room to extend awning). They had double booked our reserved space, so we ended up in Space 3 which has you next to your neighbor and right on top of their sewer hose (just a couple of steps out the door). Lots of OTA TV channels.
The bathhouse facilities were not very impressive so it's a good thing we had FHU. - jtl2

Oct 2018 - $60.00
We had a wedding to attend in Hempstead and combed thru reviews for campgrounds in the area. Although this was 25 miles away, we made a great choice, what a beautiful campground! There is a combination of residents and overnighters. The sites are concrete. The roads are chat. There had been a lot of rain but you would have never known it. The hookups are conveniently located. The park was all decorated for Halloween, very cute! They had a party on Saturday with hayrides. Beautiful pond and camping area. Although the sites don't offer much space, they have several covered areas with grills and tables for your use. Overall this was one of the nicest campgrounds that we have stayed at. We were relieved since we were unfamiliar with the area and never stayed at a park with long term residents. It was a very nice weekend! - CIndy Davis
May 2018 - $41.00
Stayed at Magnolia Forest RV Park for four night during the time we visited family in the area. The park is a mixture of transient, seasonal, and permanent residents. Very nicely laid out with a lot of green space to walk your dog(s) including a large gated dog park. They even provide doggie stations with bags and garbage cans. Had the family over a couple of evening which included a campfire in the open park like area next to the pond. From the time you arrive at this gated park the hosted are eager to help with any questions you might have. Each site has a level concrete pad and our site had a nice wooden deck area. The fresh water and sewage hook ups were very convenient and the WiFi was adequate. If your looking for a worry free location this is it. We will stay here again the next time we are in the area visiting family. - M Warner
Dec 2017 - $55.00
Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Quite a few "regulars." Nice pond where you can fish (catch and release) Large grassy area by the pond. Gated entrance. Will be staying here again since it is close to where our children live. - tbillman

This is a very quiet and safe RV park designed primarily for permanent living. It has controlled gate access and night lights in addition to full hookups and large sites with tall trees. The minimum is one month stay for $500 which includes your electric, water, sewer, WiFi, mail delivery, trash bin and lawn maintenance. Free hot showers for men and women and low cost coin laundry room. - Magnolia Pines RV Park
Aug 2016 - $35.00
I love staying in this park. It has the feel of a state park with tall trees, lots of shade and very little concrete. - Lizzzard

Dec 2018 - $21.00
Excellent location with plenty to see and do in the area, hospital, grocery stores, restaurants, Walmart, the park has been here for over 30 years, the owner just sold to a real estate group earlier this year so will have to see how well they do. Original owner has upgraded and expanded the park over the years with satellite tv, concrete pads, large pull thrus, and internet-this is the major complaint-Tengointernet-keeps kicking you off in the middle of doing anything without warning making you have to keep signing back in-very aggravating-says you are connected but you aren't till after logging back in so if in the middle of an online order you have to start over again-so if you want good internet stay away -terrible if the rest of the park wasn't as mentioned would not stay here at all!!!! - Camperf
Feb 2018 - $1.00
Value is good for the area. The folks that complain about the price, need to check prices for other parks in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful. The park was sold the spring of 2018 and they left the management team in place for now. We will be back this winter and will see if there are changes. We have stayed there numerous times over the years. There are a fair number of long term guest, but the park is well maintained and the trash is kept to a minimum. A gripe of mine is the people with dogs that do not pick up after them, disregarding the rules. Next issue is the cigarette smokers that toss their butts. The park manager, can be a bit gruff, but she is really a nice lady...just understand her. - TXiceman1
May 2017 - $35.00
This place is way overpriced, even with the weekly discount, for what's offered. A lot of people apparently use it as a long-term trailer park, so there are a lot or permanent setups. Most the sites are in an open parking lot, which is not that much different than staying at WalMart. The 30A breaker on the power pole failed, and tho' the after-hours camp host did bring me a 50 to 30A pig tail, she seemed rather perturbed that I dared call her at dinnertime, after I returned from being out all day before I discovered the problem. They have one coin operated shower/toilet, I guess with the assumption that because of all the full service hookups, you won't need it. The laundry facilities were average. The grounds crew does a fine job keeping the cement pad that everyone packs on clean. The WiFi works less than 25% of the time, and is slow as molasses when it does work. If I'm ever unfortunate enough to again have to visit Tomball, I'll be staying elsewhere. - Brujo

When I was looking for a park I checked out the posts on different sites, this park by far had the best reviews. When I first drove through I was taken back by the peacefulness and cleanliness of this park. Since staying here I am quite satisfied by the high standards and management team. Grounds and facilities are well kept and every thing one might need I is nearby; shopping, restaurants, hospitals and more. I would recommend to all. Awesome place. Love it! - Jan B
Sep 2010 - $30.00
Brand new park that opened in April of 2010. Not all facilities built out yet. Very quiet area except for closeness of train noise which are not excessive. Very pleasant owner and manager (manager lives on site). Wash house with three washers and three dryers (payment on honor system). Office having Wi-Fi installed very soon. All back-in sites. Some long, some short. Half of residents are long-term. Utilities included in monthly rent. Very shady but had good Direc-TV coverage. Horse farm next door, very pastoral. Low traffic road in front but close to downtown. Good variety of restaurants in area. Super close to Texas Renaissance Festival. Close to groceries, etc. - r.boylan
