Came for a week long rally. Spaces were a little close but landscaping between helped with privacy. Space was long enough for coach and car trailer but car had to be kept separate at storage area. Rally room was large and excellent with really nice kitchen. Complimentary wood available for communal fire pit (indoor fire pit in adjacent smaller building for inclement weather). Staff was friendly and accommodating. Did not use on site restrooms or laundry but looked in and both appeared clean and well kept. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Some restaurants in Johnson City. Some nearby breweries and vineyards. LBJ ranch is nearby. 30 miles west to Fredericksburg has German heritage and history, shopping and restaurants. Highway at park entrance is a little screwy, go across southbound lanes to crossover for northbound or eastbound travel.

Love this park! Right on Hwy 281...handy. Always try to stay at least a couple of nights every time we pass through. Love going to Fredericksburg and the wineries. Great place with great people running it! It's a popular place so be sure to call ahead...way ahead. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Small, quiet RV park about 5.5 miles outside of the town of Johnson City. Long level gravel sites, FHU-50 amp. Picnic table on grass. Grass in between sites. No wifi or cable or other amenities. Well maintained. Bushes trimmed. Looks like lots of snow birds. Gathering place in park callled "Watering Hole." Group gathers in late afternoon. Very friendly. Interior roads OK for big rigs. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Preserve of Fredericksburg is an elephant preserve. Very nice! Reserve online; get tickets early. LBJ Boyhood home and LBJ State & National Historic Park has Texas Whitehouse, LBJ & Lady Bird Graves & more. Luckenbach, TX is near and worth a visit!

A very warm welcome from the residents. Office was closed as it was Sunday despite being told that out card would not be charged until we arrived, it was charged. Overall the Campground is spotless, very clean and the residents are so very welcoming. One word of warning your GPS will send you far away... use the directions on the website, caution when crossing over take your time the road is extremely busy, use patience please. Our site was perfectly level and hookups were good. Sites have plenty of room. We had excellent Verizon cell signal. The park doesn't have WiFi unless you get special equipment. That was the only downside. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We were surprised by this park. It is not a resort by any stretch of the imagination, but it is nice and clean. They were constantly cleaning up, mowing, trimming trees etc. Good Verizon signal and At&t was usable but not strong. They have internet that you can pay for but we did not use it. Our site was plenty long and quite spacious by most standards. Easy to navigate in and out of the park and our site. Dog run is way to small. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

It's only 25 miles from home. We are doing a maiden voyage in a new To us motorhome. Making sure everything works right and that we have everything we need. The resort is great. It's clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Power is good and consistent. Some full timers but everyone is friendly and quiet. They have a meeting room and also a gathering place. Landscaping is great and neat. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lovely campground. Sites level and nicely landscaped. Friendly staff. They have a great gathering room for social events. A lack of dust when teh wind blows is a distinct plus. If approaching from the west, be sure to go over Miller's Creek, opposite where Route 290 branches left (east) toward College Station. If you turn into their satellite campground you may have trouble exiting. We highly recommend this RV park! We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a great RV park. There is plenty of space between the sites and everything was immaculate. It's very conveniently located near Johnson City in the hill country. Side trips to Perdenales, Blanco, and Wimberly are very easy. Except for traffic noise from 281, the campground was very quiet as well. No rowdy campers anywhere to be found. The campground also had a great communal fire pit with plenty of free firewood. My kids and I had a fire every night. They loved it. I deducted one point on the rating for two reasons: the campground only had one shower/bathroom for each sex. If somebody was taking a shower and you needed to use the bathroom, you were out of luck. Second, the campground doesn't have anything specific for kids. There's no play area and not much for the kiddos to do. If you want a campsite where the adults can sit around while the kids run around, this probably isn't the site for you. There's still plenty to like here and we'll probably be back. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is an update from the last time I was here. Good news/bad news. The free internet is no longer free. But the reality is, the internet was hit or miss in the past in terms of getting on. They have a lot of full timers here who like to stream videos and that was causing problems. I didn't pay the $5 fee for the one night I was here so I can't tell you if the internet is better now. I'm probably going to wind up spending a lot of time here in the future. But for one night...at $40, I think internet should be free. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a favorite stop-over when we visit the hill country. Long pull-throughs are easy. If you want to be beside the creek, only back-ins are available. A large clubhouse and gathering area are used regularly; a daily crowd gathers for coffee in the mornings. While we were there the WiFi was down due to a recent storm. Our satellite dish worked well for television reception. The dog run, splashing and swimming in the creek, a small store, the "world's biggest shower" and other curiosities make this a family-friendly place. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is plenty to see nearby: Johnson City is the home of President Lyndon Johnson; Pedernales Falls State Park; Blanco State Park; Old Tunnel State Park. Tour historic old churches in the nearby German-founded town of Fredericksburg; be sure to try the great German cooking there. If you are into wine tasting, wineries abound in the area.

Rate reflects a "Creek" site. Roads are compressed marble gravel, as are the sites. Scattered trees throughout the park...more on the creek-side of the park. Some permanent residents but all sites are kept up. There is grass between the sites and is well landscaped. There is a nicely kept clubhouse with full kitchen for rallies and a unique Indoor fire pit to gather around on those cold winter days. Will definitely be back. Tips for other Campers:

So many things to do in this area. From Johnson City west on Hwy 290 is mile after mile of vineyards (and Tasting Rooms). The are also several distilleries and craft beer places. Pres. L.B Johnson National Park is nearby. The Blanco River is about 8 miles south which affords tubing , kayaking and other summer activities. Perdenales Falls State Park is 10 miles east of town.

Front desk lady was unwelcoming and rude. Very rude. The put us in a site they said was private but had a waterview. I think it's down by the cabins. Make sure you ask for a map before you take one of these sites because they are really really loud. Unshaded and hit the hard sun. I would be hard pressed to stay here again. This park is really quite beautiful. It is kept extremely neat and the landscaping is well tended. It gave us a good feeling just driving into it for the first time. Our site along the creek, with a lovely lawn and shade trees, was especially well-appreciated. The sites are spaced nicely at an angle so as to appear more private. The other RVers seemed friendly, too. We would definitely recommend it. We camped at Miller Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.
