Park was gated and sites were spacious. Patio with picnic table, pergola and BBQ. Very friendly and helpful staff. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here enroute to Richmond, TX for a few nights. Park is an old KOA and is very tired. Grass is sparse, lots of sticker burrs which attach to the dogs, all gravel after the office asphalt, OK cable (no air tv), no Verizon service (ATT owns this neck of the woods), & messy when it rains. However water pressure was great, our site had two old Pecan trees for shade (really cut down on the 102 heat), friendly staff, fire pit (but under burn ban), and picnic table. Good for travel overnight. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The staff was very nice and tried to do everything they could to make our stay pleasant, but the park is run down and in need of maintenance. The pool was clean, but in bad need of repair. The roads and sites were mostly dirt with some gravel. Some sites had patios with picnic table and a pergola. WiFi didn't work and there was no Verizon cell service. We would not stay there again. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Terrible. Foxtails and stickers everywhere so no good for dogs. Pool has been closed for a long time as has dump station and no propane. WiFi password didn’t work. Not sure how anyone rated it anymore than a 1! We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.

We spent the night here on the way to Big Bend Nat'l Park. The site was level, pull-thru, with wi-fi and cable TV. The campground is right on the river, with mostly shaded sites (I would recommend site 50, if available, a nice shade tree). Staff was friendly and helpful. Get a shaded site if you are there in the warmer months. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stopped here on westbound trip last fall, liked it so much we stopped again eastbound. Friendly staff. Had a really nice site with plenty of grass and a patio with a heavy duty grill. Will definitely stop again if we come back through here. Far enough from road so no traffic noise. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy to get into. Just the right little bit off the interstate. Short block or so to get to Lum's BBQ. Enjoy eating at the restaurant or bring dinner back to your RV. Walked down to look at the river, only improvement would be to "mow" a path to the river. Did not want to walk in high weeds without jeans & boots on. Will stay here again when traveling through Junction. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for a week to get ready to head on down to New Braunfels, our next stop. The place is right along the river. Most of the permanent residents are located along the bridge going over the river. A lot of the sites had a patio and table but ours did not! THe WiFi would run for a minute then shut down for a couple of minutes. The cable TV was just a cable stapled to the post the power was on. The signal was bad to the point most stations were not watchable. There is no OTA TV available. If you have Verizon you will have no service (it displayed a 1x which is the lowest level of service Verizon has). We could not receive any phone calls. I would not stay here again mostly due to the poor WiFi, TV and cell phone service. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much to do here. We did go to Fredericksburg for wine tasting. Breakfast at Isaack Restaurant. The breakfast sausage was very good.

This park is wonderful. The river runs right by and is so pretty to sit beside. Our site was shaded and no interstate noise. We did not have to disconnect our toad. I would certainly return! We almost decided to stay an extra night. Best campground so far in our cross country journey. Truck stop nearby. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were just here while passing through, but there are restaurants and gas stations between this park and the Interstate.

Easy check-in and friendly staff. Easy on/off the interstate. Interior roads and sites are gravel and red dirt. Either decent spacing between sites or very close. The sites are not arranged in typical fashion but are angled in many different directions. WII FI either worked or didn't - it would just stop. Directv worked fine in our site. There are trees but none were in bloom when we were there. Verizon was 1x 3 bars so we could text and make calls. Have mixed feelings about this park - I think if they just tidied it up a bit it would be a nice park. It is on the river but not necessarily a pretty section of it. There are quite a few long term RVs that seem to be in one section. They looked neat enough though. There was some traffic noise but it wasn't too bad. Not sure if we would stay here again or not. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here many times in the past on our trips into Texas. In the last Three years it has declined in appearance it seems the maintenance on the park has become decreased. It is an easy off and on I-10, the interior roads are ok for big rigs. They have some sites with patios with chairs. It is still ok for a stop over or a few nites. We like to eat at Lum's down the street so it always worth an over nite. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Yeah, okay; it's a little run down but for a wintertime overnight stop, this park offers everything you need to take care of business. In the winter the trees are all skeletons-probably very nice and verdant during peak season. Everyone gets an escort to their site and the park host was friendly and accommodating. Roads and sites are hard packed dirt but site #53 was level without augmentation. Our pull-thru had overhead protection, a picnic table on a paver patio, fire ring and a stand-up BBQ. Cable TV was grainy but came with a large selection of channels and, given that we could get zilch over the air, was a whole lot better than nothing! Our Verizon hot spot did NOT work here but the park Wi-Fi was more than adequate for our Internet needs. Utilities were well located and water pressure was strong. Situated along the Llano River, it is quiet, open with access to the river, the stars overhead, some trees and ample space between most camp sites. An old playground is here as well as a fenced in dog area. With propane on premises, laundry and showers available, it appears there is no basic need left unaddressed. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pros. The staff is very friendly. My wife felt very safe in the park and with the surrounding neighborhoods. This park is the perfect stopping place along I 10 going across Texas. The park was clean. Cons. The park is a little run down. You can tell that it needs some TLC and maintenance. We will continue to stay here on our jaunts across Texas. The staff is wonderful and the location can't be beat. We camped at Junction/North Llano River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
