37 RV Parks near Kerrville, Texas
Oct 2017 - $10.00
First I will say: This is a beautiful setting and a really nice RV park with good facilities. Our rate was based on a month. It is located about 18 miles south of Kerrville and 8 miles north of Medina.
However, we would suggest not coming in from the north. Pulling your RV down highway 16 rom Kerrville would be a challenge, especially for a big rig. It is one curvy, hilly road! We intentionally went out of our way to come in from the south, and were glad we did. Would go so far as to say, driving thru the Rockies wasn't any worse.
A negative to some/positive for others: no cell service and no Verizon mifi service. The park does have free wifi and it is about the best I have ever found in any rv park. My phone and Consumer Cellular service does not have wifi calling capabilities, which is what is needed for most visitors. We were here a month and found not having cell phone service a little inconvenient. Cable tv was fine.
Another thing that is a neg/pos: those same curvy/hilly roads are loved by motorcyclists. Many stay in the very nice cabins that the park has to rent. Nothing against cyclists, but be ready to hear them coming and going at all hours. They don't think about the "quiet" time of 10pm to 8am.
If not for these 2 things, I would give this park a resounding 10. The staff are super nice. They have a restaurant, the Koyote Grill, which has great burgers and pizza, and on Fridays a fish/chic tender buffet that was excellent. The camp store sells basics.
Roadways in the park are very adequate. The sites are level, long and wide with packed gravel, concrete patios, picnic table, fire-ring. There is parking space for an extra car. Good utility hookups. Great dog area. Beautiful walking/hiking trails and one of the prettiest pool and patio areas I have seen. So, even with the little inconvenience and bike noise, we like this park and would go back. - JudynJoe
Sep 2017 - $59.00
We had a great time here Medina Highpoint. My wife and our 8 year old son spent Labor Day Weekend as guests this year. The staff is fantastic along with a good rotation of live music and food options at the restaurant. Outdoor music stage with tables and a view that is intoxicating. Spacious park and the RV portion was nice. Stayed in pull through with all the necessary hookups. Could use some more shade trees, but view all around is the trade-off. We spent a lot of time at the pool and hiked to the two observation decks. Killer views! We'll be back & the only reason for the 9 and not 10 stars, is to leave room to keep getting better:).Wi-Fi is weak out here, which if you plan to be outdoors the whole time is great, but i needed to do some work while there and had a hard time getting a very strong Wi-Fi signal and there is zero phone service out where so know that ahead of time, so you are not surprised. Manager and the staff are all awesome! Thanks for a great long weekend! We'll be back! - cbpierce69
Jul 2016 - $13.00
Stayed for the first time last week in site for back-in against the hill.
The views are tremendous and wildlife galore. In the morning, watching the herds of deer walking through the park was fantastic. Beautiful area to take lots of dog walks. The Friday night catfish dinner good, but the cook got sick and apparently not much of a back up system in place for this. So we made the 60 minute round-trip drive to Bandera and bought our barbeque provisions for Saturday night dinner. At outdoor music area/stage, in the heat of dusk, employee poured a lot of gas on the open fire-pit (by the stage) and lit it----needless to say it was smoky, nauseating and we had to move. Infinity pool was packed with big family groups and pretty dirty, but refreshing. Would like to try this place in cooler weather, because very little shade where most RVs park.
There is minimal cell coverage at this park, but staff will get a message to you from their toll-free #, if necessary. Manager and office staff great! - ALively
May 2019 - $36.00
This is a very small park, but very accommodating. We had previously stayed at another park nearby since we visit a friend there, but their recent rate increases were just too much. They have a nice store and reasonably priced gas, diesel and LP gas as well. We had a nice site with mature trees providing morning and afternoon shade. It's far enough from I-10 that it's quiet at night but only a couple minutes to get on/off as well as handy to Kerrville. - HomeOnWheels_US
Nov 2018 - $40.00
We arrived here after a long day traveling. This was the closest RV Park that our GPS showed. We called to make sure they could accommodate us. Just a FYI, we don't usually stay at KOAs as they cater to families and we, being retired, would rather stay at quiet, non kid friendly parks. We were met at the entrance and guided to our site, 37, which was a graveled pull through. It came with a very weathered table, power, water, cable but no sewer. It was long enough that we would not have to disconnect if we didn't want to and wide enough for our opposing slides. The host just told us to get set up and take a breath. When we were ready to check in just come over to the office and compete the transaction. Huge points for reading our mood. We were just looking for a quiet place to hang our hats and this place fit the bill in every way. We did check out the washrooms and showers. They were clean and up to date. There is a well stocked store on site and as well they have gasoline, diesel and propane for sale. A number of permanents live here but all sites were neat and tidy. There are no restaurants within walking distance but all services are available a short drive away. We do not have a KOA Value card did not receive any discounts. We paid $40.00 per night and feel that we received good value for our dollar. We would return if in the area. - Rollin Ollens
Nov 2018 - $36.00
The park is a typical rustic Texas park. It is next to I10 and very easy to get to. Camp site was level with dirt & gravel and easy to hookup. It had 30-50 amp service. Parking was easy and our pull-through was amply long enough for our 40ft motorhome towing vehicle. There were some trees around the park but we were able to get satellite reception with no difficulty. Good Sprint and ATT service. They have both diesel and gas with reasonable prices. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. - don-marg
Jun 2019 - $30.00
We recently spent 2 nights here. We stayed on the river side of the park (adjacent to Guadalupe River) in the Sycamore Circle area. It is a full hook up section. The utilities are split up. The sewer hook up is on one side of the camp site and the electric and water is on the other side. There is a picnic table on a concrete pad with a nice awning over it. The only negative for this camping loop is the road noise (Hwy 173). It was nonstop during the day. We did not hear it in the camper since the a/c was on, but I would not want to camp in a tent or popup camper in this loop. Check in was easy since we had already reserved and prepaid online. Supposedly there is wifi at the front office headquarters, but we were not able to access from our site. Also, the bathroom is quite a hike from the camping loop. There are eight over the air tv channels (no major networks). It is a convenient campground to Kerrville, but if we camp here again we will camp in the Deer Field section of the park (across the highway from park headquarters). Lots of trails to access on that side of the park. - Gtown
Apr 2019 - $30.00
We loved this park and will definitely stay here again. We highly recommend it. Nice, clean, quiet. Employees helpful and courteous. Great places along the river to walk. Convenient to shopping, but still on out skirts of town. - The Wade Family
Apr 2019 - $25.00
Very clean park right in Kerrville. Staff was really nice. We were in the 50 amp FHU sites. Sewer is on the street side of pull through and the water and electric were on the other side. We hooked water and electric up by throwing the cable/hose under the RV, otherwise the our door would have been on street side. Well kept park, road noise from hwy but we ran a fan and it didn't bother us. Not much privacy in 50 amp area but sites are placed well enough. Staff did say they were adding 50 amp to the other side of hwy. We would stay there again. - MajandMrs
Aug 2019 - $41.00
Beautifully maintained park. Areas are divided with restrictions for dogs, owners, areas for kids. We liked this idea because we trave without children. Some of the sites are without any trees and seem to be in low lying area if there is a lot of rain. They do not guarantee a specific site. Very friendly and well organized staff. We could not get their Wi-Fi but they have DSL modems for rent. Verizon service could have been better. - blumarlin
Aug 2019 - $45.00
Excellent maintained facility and very clean. Concrete level pads and patio with table and chairs. Pedestal, water, sewer newer. Our site was on the water...peaceful and quiet. Good cable. WiFi good for email and internet...although a little slow. Resort does not want you to stream. Nice exercise room...universal machine, 2 recumbent bikes, elliptical machine, 2 treadmills, exercise balls and mats and heavy boxing bag with gloves. Only criticism is the showers need a little attention, although they were clean. - gmk
Jul 2019 - $46.00
Very nice park just off I-10 but no highway noise. Good satellite and Verizon. Paved pads and roads. Easy to navigate. Nice pool and hot tub. We stayed in the public section but there is also a very nice private section. A convenient overnight stop but also a good spot for longer stays to explore the area. - literod
Jun 2019 - $30.00
A secured/gated, nice little quiet campground with grass sites right on the Guadeloupe River. Two sizes of sites, adequate and huge. Wonderful large trees shade the sites. Laundry room is small, fees reasonable, 2w/2d work well. Very convenient to town and visiting wineries We paid a reasonable weekly rate, definitely will stay again. - twotimes
Nov 2018 - $40.00
Access to the park is good. Paved all the way. Signage is good. Check in was reasonably quick and very informative. This is a gated park. An access code was provided at check in. Parameter roads are concrete, asphalt and if you cross the bridge to the island tenting area, hard packed gravel. Our site, 27, was a back in overlooking the Guadalupe River. It came with a table, power (30), water, sewer, cable, Wifi that was iffy at times and a small patio. Spacing is quite close but we plenty of room for our opposing slides and awning. There are wider spaced areas available. I think they are called the Deluxe Riverside. Our site worked well for us though. If you are not self contained getting to the bathrooms could be a challenge. They are located at the office quite a way up a hill. We did look in on them and they were clean and well appointed. I was amazed to learn that this park was under two feet of water just over a month ago. There is still some evidence of the major flooding that took place in this area but the cleanup has been looked after very quickly. Some river back restoration and remediation work is still taking place but they are 95% done. We happened to be here during Thanksgiving and the park hosted a Pot Luck dinner. We met some fine people staying here and the food was wonderful. We used this park as a base to tour the area. We did not see a playground but the kids seemed to have a good time playing by the river and using the wide open spaces on the island. There are no restaurants or services within easy walking distance but all services are available just a short drive away. This park delivered everything as promised. We paid a weekly rate of $30.00 night and feel we received good value for our dollar. We would return in a heart beat. - Rollin Ollens
Jun 2018 - $30.00
Nice park we're staying 3 nights. Pool is very small. If you think about coming here, make sure you ask for the back in sites along the canal, there's shade, otherwise you are in the sun. I had requested the back in site, but didn't get one. But that's okay!!! Staff is very helpful, premises is clean and well kept. Very quiet. Will come again but make sure we can have a site with more shade. - Cjomolly
Jul 2019 - $40.00
The park was chosen by my missus as we did a recon a few weeks before and she was taken by this place. The park is expanding greatly and has excellent swimming pools and it is an easy walk down to a private section of the river. Some of the full timers were a bit on the messy side but overall the park was clean and well groomed. Interior roads were developed with hard pea gravel surface and nice and wide and turns were not sharp. Well thought out layout. If it has been raining hard, Colvin Ranch Road, the road coming in from SR173 has a bridge that WILL flood just before turning into the park. Best call the park for current conditions. Drive to Center Point and come in on Center Point River Road. - wiredgeorge
Apr 2019 - $16.00
We had a great monthly stay at this park on the Guadalupe River in the heart of the Texas Hill country. The reservation process was efficient and easy. Roads throughout the park were gravel, well-maintained, and very wide with no trees as obstacles. There are no problems navigating a big rig here. Our site was easy to pull into and had plenty of room to park the toad. The site was pretty level and all hookups worked well. We had Verizon cell phone service and an unobstructed view of the satellite for Dish. The park kept the grass cut, garbage picked up at your site, and restrooms clean. They had a nice indoor pool and activity center. You're within walking distance to the river if you want to sit along the banks and fish or just relax. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The park was very quiet at night, allowing us to sleep with the windows open some nights. The park can be a bit hard to find: there was a lot of construction on Texas 27 and their sign on that road is small. I recomment you turn off of 27 onto Sutherland Lane to get to the park. That turn off 27 is not well lit at night, but the actual park entrance is easy to see once you get there on River Road. We would definately return here again when we decide to vist the Kerrville area. It looks like they are doing a major expansion, with the newer area having concrete pads and plenty of length for the biggest rigs. - Buckeyefan4
Feb 2019 - $14.00
Great stay, roomy site, staff friendly, trash pickup at site, propane tank fills - pick up and return. Expansion under way with all concrete sites. Get a river side back in for the best views and pet walking. Park allows wifi streaming, sometimes slow. Phone is good. - SDCampowneroperator
May 2018 - $10.00
A small quiet RV park inside a senior (55+) mobile home park. Most of the RV spaces are used by long term residents with a few for short term stays (four pull throughs). All spaces were maintained very nicely and all residents (including the mobile home folks) were welcoming and friendly. I stayed here a month, the nightly rate is based on the monthly rate of $300 (not including utilities). Electricity rate is very reasonable ($0.10/kw-h). The park is about an hour from downtown San Antonio and is conveniently located to explore the Hill Country of Texas (Fredericksburg, Luckenbach, LBJ Ranch, Wimberley). The park has access to the Guadalupe River and the Kerrville river trail (perfect for bicycling or walking). I utilized the small, clean laundry room several times. Reasonably priced, never had to wait for a washer). The facilities include a swimming pool and impressive Club House. I didn't use the restrooms or showers, but were maintained very clean. Management was very professional and friendly and I was invited to participate in all Rio Robles planned activities. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area. - AZ-Rick
Aug 2017 - $30.00
This RV Campground is for the most part permanent residents, however, they also have short term camping sites as well. The pull-through sites have 50 & 30 amps available. Each site has cable TV and free WiFi. The WiFi is weak during peak hours but it still works. And all of the pull-through sites are shaded. A club house with very clean restroom, showers, kitchen, game room and a library is also available. The people are super friendly which makes this a very attractive spot for campers. My wife and I will be returning to this campground in the future. - W Byington
May 2017 - $9.00
Just had a very pleasant stay here. It's 1st rate clean, quiet and very well kept. There's ample shopping nearby and some good food to be found. There's even a public walking path in close proximity that runs about 3 mi along the river. I will readily be back and highly recommend. It's one of the best parks I've stayed at and an excellent rate of $285/mo plus elec which is low -no more than 12c/kwh. - 2 maybe 3 eagles
Jun 2019 - $24.00
This is a large RV Park with all pull-through spaces. Cable TV, wifi, and good phone service. It is several miles outside of Kerrville. The spaces are large enough that you aren't in your neighbors living room. - RCH
Nov 2018 - $14.00
I don't know where the previous reviewer stayed, but it WASN'T at Triple T. The rate I posted is based on monthly stay. We arrived here November 1 and had found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The restrooms are clean. The lodge is a beautiful building. We had a Thanksgiving potluck in it, and there is a Super Bowl party planned for Sunday. While walking our dogs, we have yet to see any trailers in bad shape. We haven't had any problems with the utilities. The water is from a well. We aren't fond of the taste, but that was remedied by using a softener. Every once in a while you see law enforcement drive thru the campground. But that's common everywhere you go. We have seen no fighting or signs of drugs. There are quite a few permanent/long term residents, but sites are neat and tidy. We are "Winter Texans" who are planning on making Triple T our permanent home when we quit heading north for the summers. - AuntSmurf
Nov 2018 - $48.00
We stayed here a year ago and it was great, but it is now under new management. Don't drink the water! We'd suggest not even hooking up to the water. Fleas and stickers kept our dog miserable and now our coach is full of them. Management has no idea what they are doing and every now and then the owner arrives to scream and cuss at people. The police were on the property three times during our stay. There are a lot of run down mobile homes and cabins where shady types live full time. Some look like drug dealers. Problem with electric and water. Constant back ups with raw sewage on the ground. This place smelled like sewage. Pool has no heater. Road noise is too much and their lodge smells like raw sewage. There are a lot of "RVers" who haven't moved in years. We saw a lot of drinking and fighting and it wasn't like this before. We will never return. It used to be so great and friendly and now seems like it is a place for poor people to park and live forever. We miss the Triple T from 2017. - SL2017
Jan 2019 - $38.00
We stayed here for a three-day stopover on the way to Florida on I-10. This is a 55+ park but it is filled with residents, with only 5 spots for overnight guests. We had an asphalt parking spot, just like any parking lot. It is a very old park but it does have an indoor pool that we didn't use. The sewer connection was sunk below ground level so we couldn't get a good connection. We had to use a sewer doughnut and a rock. There is no dog park, just a tiny strip of grass next to a drainage ditch. And, normally in campgrounds, people are walking around, waving, chatting with everyone. The residents seemed friendly to each other but ignored us. - Peggy coffey
Jun 2018 - $40.00
The Take it Easy park is close to downtown Kerrville with commercial activity nearby. It's been around a while so it's nicely shaded with big trees throughout. There are a combination of nightly, seasonal and park model spaces. The activity building contains the very clean bathrooms and showers, laundry, activity room and indoor pool. Outside were horseshoe and shuffle board areas. Cable TV is available but you'll need to connect a converter box. They have those available for free with a $25 deposit. We didn't use the TV hookup. They also don't take credit cards so have cash or a checkbook with you. We got in a bit past office hours and quick call from the phone by the door brought someone to check us in and a guide to take us to our site. Sites had a fairly large concrete patio and were level. It's a 55+ park so be aware if you're traveling with the kiddos. - AZJim
Feb 2016 - $34.00
The pull through sites were narrow and near highway, but were on asphalt and hookups were convenient. Wi-fi reception was sporadic at peak times. The facilities were very good: hot tub, swimming pool and large recreation room. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was as good as the one I have at home. Access to site would be tight for larger rigs, but we only have a 21 foot travel trailer and had no problem negotiating the turns. - Bart1979

Well this park is made for families. In the park there is a lot to do with great water slides and three pools. The kids loved this place in the summer heat. There are games that the park hosted for kids and swings, play grounds etc. This park will be definitely be on our list to return to, if the grand kids are with us. But if a water park is not your thing, there are cheaper parks around. Maybe not as nice, but still great for the area. Yeah will return again with the grand kids soon. - Denban
Mar 2018 - $46.00
This is a very well run park. We stayed during Spring Break. This park is perfect for family fun. There is so much for children to do outside. Pools, river, trampoline, mini golf, etc. We saw children having so much fun at this park. We asked to be parked at the back of the park so it would be quite area. No kids with us. We were escorted to our site. There is a nice cement picnic table and fire ring. I did also look at the rec hall and saw the staff cooking pancakes for everyone that wanted to eat breakfast. Good store on site also. Close to lots of stores and restaurants. We loved this park. - Linda Griff
Feb 2018 - $15.00
We rented one of their cheapest sites for a month. Site was a real bargain basement spot. No grass, plenty of burrs for the dog to step on, overgrown bushes. Looks like they were cleaning up others and had not gotten to this one yet. Very quiet, very friendly staff. A wonderful place for kids. A good place for adults when the kids aren't there. Little to no parking near the main facilities makes it difficult to use them if you are parked on the "back forty". - GOTTOYS
