We have stayed here many times. Concrete pads, spacious sites in most areas..adult section with adult pool...beautiful grounds, daily curb side trash pickup, social room, library, movies, activities, strong WiFi, cable, putting green, pickle ball courts, fish/release pond, weekly propane delivery, some treed areas, some non shady areas, off I-10, short distance to town, HEB, Walmart....etc.. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

An extremely nice rv resort just outside of Kerrville near I-10. The roads are paved, the pads are concrete, and of a good size. The offer free wifi, which was just okay, but they also offer dsl for $30/month. We were staying a month, and found the dsl very good. I put the rate at $23, but we were on the monthly rate which was $700. There is catch and release fishing without a license requirement, weekly propane delivery, and daily trash pickup. There is a small store in the office, and weekly movies. Aside from it being chilly in the mornings, we had a great time at Buckhorn Resort. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Good Roads-wide, gentle turns but a couple of "dips" for rain water run off that are not marked--they will get your attention is going above posted limit. Wide, level spacious sites. Full hook ups--bring a pressure reducer for the water! No shade on pull throughs. Good room for the toad. Small pool. Fishing area--catch and release only. Dog park. Kids area. Meeting room with no silverware/dishes/pots/pans/cooking gear/glassware. WiFi is VERY POOR and VERY SLOW once it hooks up which will take minutes. Pleasant/friendly staff. Good directions to site and rules. Small but well stocked "store". Good selection of hand outs regarding what to do/when and when. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautifully maintained park. Areas are divided with restrictions for dogs, owners, areas for kids. We liked this idea because we trave without children. Some of the sites are without any trees and seem to be in low lying area if there is a lot of rain. They do not guarantee a specific site. Very friendly and well organized staff. We could not get their Wi-Fi but they have DSL modems for rent. Verizon service could have been better. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Excellent maintained facility and very clean. Concrete level pads and patio with table and chairs. Pedestal, water, sewer newer. Our site was on the water...peaceful and quiet. Good cable. WiFi good for email and internet...although a little slow. Resort does not want you to stream. Nice exercise room...universal machine, 2 recumbent bikes, elliptical machine, 2 treadmills, exercise balls and mats and heavy boxing bag with gloves. Only criticism is the showers need a little attention, although they were clean. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park just off I-10 but no highway noise. Good satellite and Verizon. Paved pads and roads. Easy to navigate. Nice pool and hot tub. We stayed in the public section but there is also a very nice private section. A convenient overnight stop but also a good spot for longer stays to explore the area. Spent two nights in preparation for our annual summer trip to ensure everything was working on our RV. This campsite is convenient to I-10 and close to the Kerrville/Fredericksburg, Tx area. Interior roads are asphalt with level concrete pads. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely camp here again. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

On our extended summer travels we stay at Buckhorn to get the rig into traveling condition--store everything so we can find it, etc. Buckhorn continues to provide the best location, facilities, and staff for our needs. The pull thrus are long and easy to access. The staff is attentive to our needs and is active during the day to keep the park clean and neat. There is easy access to Kerrville and its shops and businesses. We camped in a 5th wheel. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our 5-6 stay at Buckhorn. Previous stays have been in a variety of sites. This time we stayed at a water front site #6050. (We had reservations for another site but got changed on arrival.). Nice site overlooking what water and a nice waterfall across from us but has a large tree on the left side which blocks about half our satellite channels. WiFi does not reach our iPads at this site. We will continue to visit Buckhorn but will be sure to ask for a satellite and WiFi friendly site. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

It is only about 25 minutes away from Fredericksburg which is a historic town of German heritage. There are many things to see including The Museum of the War in the Pacific which has a great deal of information about Admiral Nimitz who was born in Fredericksburg.

Very nice park. We stayed here for our owner's group rally. There are lots of long pull-through spaces in the center and back-ins around the perimeter. Room for the largest of rigs. The bathrooms and showers were clean, and the park itself is very well-cared-for. Trash pickup daily at your site in the a.m. The office allows you to accept mail, very convenient for us full-timers. Lots to do in the surrounding area, and the hill country is just beautiful. We would stay there again. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here many times. This is a Tiffin Rally. Library, exercise, adult section with pool, general guest pool, huge community room plus large rally room. Spotless, every blade of grass trimmed. Very level Concrete pads, asphalt streets, expanded cable. Easy Direct TV reception. Some areas do have huge trees, but mostly large sites. We faced Goose Creek in a pull into with plenty side gravel area for Jeep. Nice staff, sometimes a little snippy. Park located off I-10...outside of Kerrville. Easy shopping for everything easy drive. HEB, Walmart, etc, groc, shopping, town has art galleries, boutiques, cutesy restaurants, etc....bring your western clothes.. We spent two nights here during Blue Bonnet season. Very nice. Super clean. Staff was really nice. Even check to see if our site was empty so we could arrive early. We had a back in site in the adult section. Very quiet. WiFi was good but standard RV park speeds. Workable Verizon. We had a very nice site with concrete pad and patio, nice table and chairs. Great paved interior roads. Bathhouse and pool was immaculate. There is tons of grass and open areas. Laundry and clubhouses. Only complaint was the water pressure could be higher. Wonderful place. Well deserving of being called a resort. We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.
