Jun 2015 - $40.00
I enjoyed the golf course and the area very much. there were alot of things to do in the nearby towns.
The office staff was very nice. It has Pull through sites and 50 amp service. There was supposed to be WIFI but we couldn't figure it out. There was a swimming pool which was nice in the heat.
The spots were gravel with Lots of big trees giving you a lot of shade. The roads were paved around the campgrounds but there are a ton of pot holes so you have to be very careful. - houseofclarkes
Jun 2015 - $14.00
I paid monthly and stayed for three months. The location and monthly price was a good value (which is why I listed 14 a night). The people who ran the park were very nice and courteous. The pool was out of order, and the wifi barely reached more than 10 feet from the main office. The park looked very trashy, because they did not require people to maintain their lots. I never used the bathrooms, but I am willing to bet they probably weren't that good judging from the appearance of the rest of the park. On the plus side they don't care about trailer age, trailer appearance, families, retirees, etc. All are welcome. If you aren't too superficial this park isn't half bad. - Swift_Strongarm
Jan 2013 - $20.00
Stayed here one night. Check-in went fine once the reservation was found and clerk figured out we were not staying for a month. Our drive through spot was easy to find/get into. The CG has MANY full time in a myriad of rigs and their outdoor decorations, stuff or just plain junk greatly distracts from this CG. The roads are narrow, rough and curvy which made negotiating our 40' rig with towed, very difficult. Rate reflects the Passport America discount; this is not a $40 a night CG. I would not stay here again. - Monaco Bob

Very friendly staff! Really enjoyed my short stay. Spots a little cramped. - Love the Beach
Jul 2014 - $33.00
Park is very tight for a big rig. Severe speed bump at entry in the back row is capable of damaging your coach so careful not to make this turn until you check it out. Has considerable deferred maintenance on roadways. Check-in at dealership at receptionist, who also does about 5 or 6 other things to do for the dealership so be prepared to stand in line and then not really friendly. Do not blame her as she has other things to do and phones going off, than mess with us. Also, they need more help in all areas, including cleaning and maintenance throughout this park, particularly at the ridicules $33 a night. - fulltimer 2
Jun 2014 - $33.00
Older park meaning that the streets are not adequate for maneuvering large units. Speed bumps approximately 100' apart throughout, one of which was so extreme we cracked our windshield crawling over it. Sites are 7' apart so we couldn't open our much needed awning as there is very little shade. Dumpster was located in the back corner at the end of a dead end street, really inconvenient. Dog park consisted of an open field but was free of soiled spots. Crowded at the time of our stay with mostly oilfield workers and extended stay units of all sizes and condition. Shower and laundry facility was adequate and maintained. Access from the interstate was good with Cabelas across the street. On-site camp host but he wasn't active and was bothered by my complaint about the speed bump. He wasn't available most of the time during our 4 day stay. Dealership provides good full service for most RV makes. We had recall work done at the shop and the attached park was more convenience than intentional. We would not stay here again. - wheels

Dec 2018 - $26.00
Hats off to the office staff! They are excellent. They go out of their way to be helpful. They're always friendly and cheerful! Access to this place is dangerous! It's a very sharp turn off a busy highway. Signage is quite low and difficult to see unless you know what you're looking for. This is an 'all in one' price which means you don't need to pay power separately. We'd love to see some patio spaces and picnic tables here. That would encourage mingling among campers and provide a space to put down a barbecue. This campground is new and is still a work in progress. Roads are poor and quite broken up. If you don't mind being out in the country and away from shopping etc this is a very pretty place with beautiful sunsets. - 34cawder
Sep 2018 - $50.00
We stayed here for a family reunion. The campground was clean. The roads could use some repairs. They are a little bumpy. The folks working in the office were very friendly. The kids loved the pool. We used their meeting room for the reunion and it was great. Full kitchen and nice size. It opened up to the pool so we could keep an eye on the kids. There were some full times people there. We normally go the state parks and such. They have a wonderful stocked fishing lake. Overall great experience we are already planning next years event - SabrinaS
May 2018 - $50.00
Stayed with a rally group. The staff were extremely helpful with building our fire in the pit - even provided the first load of wood without cost! Beautiful lake with catch and release fishing (no license required). Level concrete sites with full hookups. Some have picnic tables. Cozy meeting area with knotty pine and comfy seats. Fully equipped kitchen. As nice as the facilities were, the staff helpfulness was the most outstanding plus. - Marty H

They do not allow children, which for the majority of people means they don't want you. They are almost always full, because of their cheap monthly price (which is why I listed 10 a night). They have no bathrooms, no showers, no laundry, and very short inconvenient office hours. They have no website, which is weird in 2015, so good luck getting their number. - Swift_Strongarm
Aug 2011 - $10.00
When we came to this part of Texas for a job. This was a very reasonable place. Good place for workers that have self contained RV's since they don't have restrooms or showers. Very nice people and next door to the Three Dudes Winery. Less than 2 miles outside of town. The rate I gave was monthly and we would stay again. - BJ&ME

Worst place ever, Owner & Manager are not friendly, beware. Electric has bad issues due to River flooding campground causing electricity problems. - 06Fatboy
Nov 2018 - $60.00
Getting a late start to Rockport, TX, we found ourselves scheduled to be on the road on Thanksgiving day. I did some searching and found this park. The pictures looked OK. I assumed that if I was paying $60.00 per day, it would be a nice place. Wrong. This park is bad. If I had paid in the normal range of around $30.00, I would have been fine. This park is substandard. When we drove by and then into the entrance, I was shocked. Then the office was closed for lunch. When the office opened, I went into seek a refund. The young lady said she could not offer a refund, but would tell the owner. I have heard nothing from the owner. I should have known something was wrong when I had to pay the entire balance of the stay up front ($240.00), plus the policy of NO REFUNDS. Last night, there was a pretty serious (wife says threatening) argument that could be heard from within our motorhome. We kept our porch light on all night. I have stayed at worse places, but the fee was around $25.00 or was another type of park and I expected nothing. My complaint is paying $60.00 for a trailer park. Now I know why the entire amount must be paid in advance. Most people would leave when they saw what they were driving into and not stay even one night! My recommendation is to avoid this park. I could go on and on, but tired of thinking about it. If it were not for it being level and full hookups, our Thanksgiving would have been ruined. We made the best of it. - TexCuervo
Jul 2018 - $63.00
Peaceful campground, they do not take reservations by phone and require full payment at time of reservations. Paid extra for a deluxe site which was too small for 40' RV, it required pulling in and backing out. It took a great deal of effort to maneuver between 2 large trees on right side (mirrors inches away from tree) telephone pole/power hookup on left and room for slide outs. Very Difficult entering & exiting river to swim or tube/float with downward slope consisting of shells. Saw several people fall & get slightly injured. Did not use their facilities, lighting was good. Staff closed up the office from 12-1 for lunch which is ridiculous. - JV1

Oct 2018 - $50.00
I'm sorry to say this park was a disappointment for us. Having seen it was acquired by Sun RV Resorts, we really expected the sites to be very nice. They were basic, nothing great about them in any way. Unfortunately we were visiting during a time of a lot of rain and our site (any many more) aren't setup to drain properly and it was a muddy, messy quagmire. Apparently the park has a dispute going on (as stated in their brochure) with the local cable companies, so there is no cable TV. We used our satellite and put up the over the air antenna which did bring in local stations in good digital reception. We have dogs and the dog park is nice... only issue again was very little drainage, so to get in, you had to walk through 3-4" of standing water which soaked our shoes. This park is really ready for an upgrade and I hope Sun spends the money to make it happen. Texas DOT is in the middle of a LOT of work on the frontage road at and near this park. Pulling out of the park both for day trips and in your RV is a real challenge as they close one lane and traffic is way too heavy for the road. People are in such a hurry, they won't necessarily give you a break and let you out of the park! - bschilz
Oct 2018 - $38.00
The roads in the park are very narrow - packed in - the only view from the front is the back of the unit across from you - can't even see the narrow road. Our site did have a grassy area next to it, but many had only gravel. No patio. The restrooms were nice and clean. A worker escorted us to our site, but tried (unsuccessfully) to insist that he could only give instructions to my husband (b/c he happened to be driving) - a 10 minute directive that could have been covered in 2 minutes! The pool was in front - on the frontage road - loud. The rest of the park was quiet and felt safe. - Deb and Chris
Aug 2018 - $49.00
Spent 3 nights here and the location is decent if you want to get to downtown area. Asked for shade and was put in a spot which had some shade until noon then we roasted until the sun went down. This campground is pretty cramped. The interior roads are excellent but fairly narrow. You need to go all the way to the very rear of the property and come back through the middle to exit and the turns are tight. They could improve egress immensely with a rear exit which isn't onto the VERY busy frontage road which is also under construction with jersey barriers everywhere. Stay off I-35 and use the parallel streets. Road construction is a nightmare in this area. HEB and Walmart are nearby and can be accessed without getting on I-35. - Jeff Smith

Apr 2018 - $22.00
This park is just outside of town, close to eating and shopping. Only problem I had was with no Verizon service at site 15 which was down near the creek. This site required two inches of levelling. The wagon wheel sites might have been a better option. Has a 9 hole golf course and a swimming pool. - Texas Jim
May 2017 - $20.00
Small park. Best sites are 1-10 as they have full hook-ups and are level, but they are in a close circle. Sites 11-20 have water and electric and are now paved, but they all slant toward the parallel creek. Many of the 11-20 sites are pull through - meaning the RV leans from one side to the other downhill toward the creek. Verizon yielded only 1 bar. Free wifi only so-so. - SunStar203
Mar 2017 - $24.00
This is an excellent park. We stayed one night in site #4 (back-in with full hook ups) which is right along the golf course. There is also a very nice pool and playground. We had full LTE service via AT&T, but did not try the OTA or satellite for TV. This is a superb location for exploring all the great bbq restaurants in Lockhart as well as the shopping, eateries, and entertainment in San Marcos. We definitely look forward to returning for a longer stay. - texasAUtiger

Mar 2014 - $15.00
Rate is based on monthly rate plus electric. This is a family-owned, quiet park on the outskirts of charming Wimberley. All sites are back-in and laid out in a U-shape against the trees, with a five acre meadow in the middle. The sites are large, with shade and patio furniture, but most slopr upwards from front to back. There are no rest rooms, pool, or other amenities except for the free cable TV which was excellent. And, with only 15 sites, the park is very quiet. Deer frequent the meadow in the morning and evening, and many birds also frequent the park. Verizon cell and 4G data were very good, and satellite TV was unobstructed. The owner and her mother are delightful to talk to, and genuinely care about the quality of residents stay. Not fancy, not many amenities, just a comfortable place to stay in the beautiful Hill Country. - Meanderman
Jul 2011 - $35.00
This is a small quiet park located just south of Wimberley that has back-in sites nested against the tree lines. A large open field in the center provides a sense of openness. It was hot and dry while we were there. Even though sites are close together privacy is maintained. There are several long term sites. There is easy access to center of town. Deer will visit you late in the evening and early in the morning. The big question - would we go back? Yes! Without question. - WagginTails
Mar 2008 - $24.00
Very quiet, better for adults wanting a quiet time. Great wildlife viewing. - Teri`
