Perfect spot when visiting anywhere in the Rio Grande Valley. Great wifi, very clean restrooms, pool, jacuzzi, big game room with pool tables etc. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Very quiet in summer but fairly busy in winter. Will definitely stay again. We camped at Vip - La Feria RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

When we stayed at VIP La Feria RV Park, all of the sites are either grass with concrete patios or full concrete. I noticed that reviews said that the sites are gravel and we have come to this park several years and there have never been gravel sites in this park during that time. The park is very well maintained and has clean facilities and we would for sure stay here again. Lots to do in the park and plenty of things close by in the area or even can travel a short distance and be in Mexico. We camped at Vip - La Feria RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a snow-bird park that takes in over-nighters. Gravel back-in sites, some quite large, with concrete patios. This is an older park which has aged well, but is older. Little shade available, trees are tall palms. Easy access from freeway, wifi worked OK. I would stay here again as it's a nice, smaller park centrally located. Tips for other Campers:

We were located at the front of park by the interstate. Very noisy, I wore earplugs at night to sleep. Management and staff very friendly. Lots of activities to do and close to other cities.

Good location, wonderful people but sites were quite unlevel and a bit tight (older park). Park was secured/gated at night. Rate is Passport America but they also charged power on a daily basis. Would still stay here again. We camped at Vip - La Feria RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Rate based on monthly rate of $440. We stayed two months. This is a nice park for the area. South Texas does not have much in the way of landscaping and heavy wooded areas, so the Texas sun is tough on the grass and such. There are a few shade trees and lots of palm trees. Areas around common areas very nice lush grass, but around the RV sites it is patchy. Still, well maintained and mowed/edged regularly. All amenities are as promised. There are 2 clubhouses, 2 laundry areas. Saltwater pool and spa were refreshing and kept clean. WIFI worked well, no cable but got enough stations on our antenna that we didn't really need it. Park is convenient to anything you could want. Lots of fun activities in the clubhouse. Friendly and helpful staff. We would stay here again. Overall Rating:

We absolutely loved VIP LaFeria! This is our first time to the Rio Grand Valley in many years and the first time staying there in an RV. I never realized how much there is actually to do in the valley. VIP had so much going on all the time and so many choices that I felt like I was on a cruise ship(only spending a whole lot less). There is bingo, card bingo, card games, dominoes, ice cream socials, pot lucks, water aerobics, day tours, jewelry making, Wednesday night live entertainment, free bikes to ride, etc. And of course a gorgeous heated pool and hot tub. We especially loved all the people staying at VIP, they were all very welcoming and quickly accepted us into their group. Spots are quite tight but never any noise, it was really fun just to look out our windows and see what's going on and see people. This is an older park but absolutely spotlessly clean. This is all because of the great park managers. They were so kind to us we felt like we are old friends from the moment we met. Some of the things to do in the area are flea markets, going over the border to Progresso, visiting border patrol, South Padre Island with day cruises and fishing trips, the Iwo Jima statue, butterfly habitats, just too much to list. So my recommendation is stay at VIP you will love it like we did, and we are definitely going back next year. If you are wanting an economical place to visit go to the valley, everything is so much cheaper including the RV parks, so many produce stands with unbelievable prices, this place is heaven for a penny pincher! The price is with a monthly discount. We camped at Vip - La Feria RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very good so far, we have meet some great people and had 2 get togethers, so far, in our 6 days. Everyone gives some advice about eating and places to see. The markets and shopping are great, just about anything you want. There is two wonderful pools to use and hot hot tubs any time. We camped at Vip - La Feria RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We spent a week in a 44 ft. motorhome with slide-outs and a tow. Our off-season, weekly rate was $112 plus electric ($23 for the week). This is a very friendly, well-run park. We were there after most of the Winter Texans had already left and there were lots of open spaces. Our site was spacious and we had plenty of room. Our site was grass, but level, and we had a very nice concrete patio. Park management couldn't have been nicer or more friendly. We didn't have time to use it, but the salt-water pool and spa looked very well-maintained. The location is convenient to shopping and all the Valley attractions. We liked it very much and would definitely stay there again. We camped at Vip - La Feria RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

VIP is a very clean friendly park. There is a beautiful salt water pool, hot tub, shuffleboard, pool hall, 2 club houses, 2 laundries, a craft building and paved streets through out the park. There is also an area with weights etc to work out.

We have been to VIP La Feria several times and plan to go again in the winter. There are many people who spend several months in the winter but people staying a shorter time are always welcomed with friendly faces and open arms. We camped at Vip - La Feria RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is located within close driving distance for shopping and entertainment outside the park. There are several small stores and fast food places nearby in La Feria. It is about a 40 or 45 minute drive to the beach for more fun in the sun.

There are several Golf Courses within a few miles. Movies, shopping, Bass Pro, Sam's Club, visit museums, birding and hiking in the different parks.

Overall Rating:

This park is generally a longer term park. The spaces are average width and long. The interior roads are all paved and good. There are cement patio's and you park on the grass. The services are good. The WiFi was up and down but better than some parks. The road noise from the freeway is loud when you are outside, it did not bother us. The park is well maintained and the people are very friendly and welcomed us "short termers". It was convenient to what were seeing in the area. Overall Rating:

I camped here for 2 weeks. The $15.00 rate reflects the Passport America discount. The park is clean, fairly quiet, considering there is a freeway across the street, and well kept. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. It is on the eastern edge of the Rio Grande Valley and there is easy accress to everything the "Valley" has to offer, including old Mexico. The roads are a bit tight for a 40 foot motorhome and the staff does lead you to your site and assists you in getting parked. I would stay here again if down in this area. Overall Rating:

We've been here before and undoubtedly, we'll return. It's a very friendly, well-managed, very clean park with many amenities, including hot tub, swimming pool, pool tables, etc. And the $15 Passport rate is hard to beat. But it has some issues. It's right beside the highway and if you get a site along the fence, it can be noisy. Many of the sites are a tad tight, but the place has never been full when we've been there and they do a good job of spreading everyone out so it feels like you have more room. They charge 14 cents per k/w hour for electricity, which is a little high considering we paid only 8 cents at another park in the same county. We camped at Vip - La Feria RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

We were very impressed with the managers as they met us at the gate, escorted us to the site, knew the business and were well informed to answer all of our questions. The park is well maintained, clean and in great working order; the place is very friendly. Close to Harlingen, but more quiet and laid back. Most things are available in La Feria so you don't have to travel. Convenient to all sites of the valley - within 30 minutes. We would positively stay here again.
