4 RV Parks near La Pryor, Texas
Oct 2017 - $26.00
Over-nighted here on way to Big Bend NP. A heavily-treed older RV Park adjacent to a mobile home park. Right on Hwy 90 in interesting town of Uvalde. Many long-term residents but nothing shoddy. Sites are dirt with level gravel pads and almost spacious but were low-lying and muddy when we were there after 2 days of heavy rains. Wifi was intermittent; Verizon coverage was OK. The coax cable for cable TV connection was damaged at our site, but maintenance came out on-request to repair it. Watch for low branches on the interior roads if you have a tall rig. Overall, a good value for an overnight stay or even a couple days if visiting the area. - TheBreeze

Traveling through, spent one night. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. Nice park, mature vegetation with shade from the trees. Very pleasant and a very nice town for the over night stay. Nice amenities. Initially we felt that the streets in the campgrounds may be restrictive to our maneuvering the motor coach through the campgrounds, but found they were very adequate. We were traveling in a motor coach. - M.H. Gehlsen

60 to 70 percent long term campers located near town. No recreation facilities. Good place to stay as a layover. Campsite had large pothole that could cause leveling problems. Could not wash RV but they had sprinklers going even at some campsites. - Bburgbrewer

We stayed in site #10, might have been the longest back in site I've ever had. This site backs up to the river. It was probably close to a mile to walk down to the lake from our site, but it was a great place to walk the dogs. The sites were very spacious. They had a nice laundry: $2/load and $1 to dry. - joe_jack

We were in a pull through site, but others in our group used back in sites. They were level, gravel sites. The area we were in was near a creek and surrounded by trees with lots of room for outdoor games and social times. The clubhouse was clean and neat with a standard home-style kitchen. There was a very large covered patio with numerous grills available for us to use. The staff was very nice. The manager of the ranch, on which this park is located, came by nightly to check on us and even took a bunch of us on a tour of the ranch. I would heartily recommend this park as a getaway place for anyone who just wants to relax. - Marty H

This is a great campground right on a river with easy access to fishing. There's a great clubhouse with lots of games, a full kitchen, and a huge patio with several grills that overlooks the river. This campground is located on a working ranch that also has exotic animals (NOT used for hunting) so besides cattle we even saw some zebras! Staff were super friendly and the ranch foreman stopped by daily to make sure everything was working or if we needed anything. He even sat around the fire with us. The only unfortunate thing is the location of this campground. It is out in the middle of nowhere. But the night skies were beautiful. - davis0056
